OK but not great
I have said I would recommend it, but only because there are so few 28" TV's to choose from. In this case the picture is reasonable, but there are two important negatives. The first is that the sound is poor, even allowing for the small size of the speakers. The second is that the automatic channel scanning does not work and has to be switched off. In my case, the set would scan for channel changes every night, and each morning without fail it would have "lost" the first seven or eight channels.

Great little TV
Nice TV with great software. Picture is great but sound is a little weak. This is a common problem as TVs get thinner, so rival products probably have the same issue. It has both Netflix and Amazon Prime and has a specific button on the remote for those 2 apps. It also has BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and All 4, amongst others. Wi-Fi or network cable can be used for internet access. The wall bracket fitting on the back is Vesa 100x100, adding this as it wasn't easy to find out out before I bought it!

The sound on this TV is awful
The picture is okay, but the built in speakers are awful, obviously LG want you to buy their sound bar to accompany the TV - it really should be included. There are no audio line out sockets either. The 'smart' functions are really slow compared to an Amazon Fire Stick I previously used. When signing up to use the functions you have to agree to share your personal information with South Korea and other countries that do not have internationally agreed data protection laws! Don't buy this TV.

Perfect TV for the Bedroom
HD Ready is absolutely fine for watching TV from a distance but inadequate as a PC Monitor. The picture is really quite impressive, rich colours, crisp contrast and very decent black levels. Pleasantly surprised by the loudness and quality of the sound. No headphone jack might be a deal breaker for some who want to use this in a bedroom. Smart functions are slick and navigating menus is not as slow as I'd feared, although the TV Guide requires patience. Would definitely recommend this TV.

Great picture and sound! Delighted.
Absolutely delighted with my purchase. Great picture and sound quality, great for watching movies, it's like having my own mini cinema. Never having bought a smart TV before I'm really pleased with this one. I've seen others that don't have anywhere near the same level of volume or sound quality. I'd definitely recommend it. Well worth the money. Would be good if the remote had an 'amazon prime' button as well as a 'netflix' one like some other remotes, but that's a very petty issue.

Sons bedroom tv
My son bought himself this tv with his birthday money. Overall has a very sleek look, good size for a bedroom. When opening, setting up and connecting the tv to the WiFi, from start to finish was very easy and enjoyable, well laid out and colourful, perfect for a child to follow. Sounds and picture quality are good, tv remote is very straight forward and has Netflix and various other play back tv buttons. Over all, very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

Smart TV lives up to its name.
We decided to buy a Smart TV & looked online at the Argos website. Agreed that we wanted one that was neither too big or too small and settled for a 28" one, the LG seemed to offer everything we required so we did click & collect. Went to collect the following day and were served by a very efficient young lady & were in & out of the store in no time. We are very pleased with our choice, it was easy to set up & easy to use. The sound & picture quality are excellent.

Better that the older model
This is the second 28" LG TV i have purchased in the last 15 months and was purley purchased for our touring caravan. Sadly the WIFI stopped working, which is a shame as it hadn't been used very much, therefore i had to buy another TV - The positives are: 1. Its a nicer looking TV to the previous model. 2. The sound quality is lots better as we would have to have the older LG TV on volume 99 to actually hear anything. 3. The picture quality is much better.

Have you argos'd it?
Great tele for the price and straightforward ordering/ collection etc. I don't know why the Argos marketing department doesn't wake up to an opportunity. I always look at John Lewis, Curry's etc for things like this then at the last minute remember (only just) to check Argos. Usually for a better price and in stock for immediate collection. Perhaps if they used the slogan "have you argos'd it" to encourage people to do as I did they might make more money.

The TV has amazing features
I assembled this TV and to my amazement found out that I do not even need an aerial to watch television, but can use my unlimited fibre broadband instead. It works similar to a tablet in that it has apps to watch tv. I am still waiting for Sky to instal but in the meantime can use the TV to watch all free channels and even Amazon and if you are a Prime customer you can watch and the BBC gives you a code if you have a license.

Great TV in my kitchen!
I always buy LG TVs so I know that the quality is good and 28" is an ideal size for my kitchen. This particular model has both RF and F sockets so I was able to connect it to my dish for Freesat with no problems. The set up was easy, the picture quality is very good and the sound is also very good. I've yet to set up the cable from my router, but don't anticipate any problems. A good TV for an excellent price.

Good piece of kit
A nice looking tv with Netflix and Amazon prime one click of a button away plus iplayer, itv hub etc. Not really had chance to use it yet so too early to really give an on depth review. As with all modern TVs sound quality is disappointing and picture quality is only 720p. Price is a little high for a 28 inch tv but this model came with good reviews and us a quality brand so worth a little extra

LG TV
Good lightweight TV, sharp picture, easy to navigate menus. Sound not as full as I would like it to be, but OK. Only issue is that you can't switch it off, as far as I can work out, it always goes into standby, although admittedly in power consumption terms this isn't anything like the problem it formally was with electrical items. I would recommend it for a medium sized room or bedroom.

LG - TV
Great lil TV for our kitchen looks fab, perfect size was disappointed in the sound quality to be honest very tiny, sounds like it’s playing out of a tin can! However on a positive it’s great value and the picture it’s absolutely amazing. We are going to try and get sound connected through our Alexa speaker if possible as that’ll give it the boost it needs. Hope this helps

Great pic. Average sound. Awkward remote.
TV is in the kitchen and it is great. The sound quality is average - but ok for the kitchen. The remote is difficult to use - but this only really applies during set-up. It’s ok for normal use. On the whole I think the tv is pretty good. Excellent picture quality and great connectivity. I would recommend this item where the sound quality is not the paramount concern.

Brilliant Purchase
I am just loving this LG smart TV. I bought it to replace a TV in my bedroom. It's a great size and design. I found it so easy to set up. You can even find information on the TV itself about a lot of the settings. It has a good picture quality. The remote control is self explanatory. The sound is absolutely fine on this TV. I can highly recommend this TV.

A small screen smart tv
A brilliant TV with many connections including an Ethernet. The photo in the Argos catalogue is wrong as it does not show the correct connections. An Ethernet might be important for a smart tv! The LG website has the correct spec and pictures and I would recommend that you use this when deciding

Replacement Tv
I bought this as a replacement Tv for my bedroom, this has the benefit of being a smart TV and a fair sized screen for the bedroom. It was easy to set up, just following the on screen instructions. I'm happy with my purchase overall. I would have liked it a bit cheaper, but wouldn't everyone.

Rubbish web browser, poor aound
I wanted this smart tv mainly to watch video-courses from various websites but I now sorely regret having bought this tv: the web browser is a bad joke! It is so slow it makes you want to tear your hair out. Also, it fails to play the videos in certain websites!’ The sound is very poor also

Nice TV shame about sound
Good picture, easy to set up but just a bad sound quality which is fixable with speakers. I have speakers but becasue they are audio, they don't work with the tv which was another downfall. Still a good tv and not many available at this size so I'd recommend just for that.

Great picture, average sound
Bought this as a kitchen TV. Picture is really good, nice and bright. Handles fast motion well, e.g. football. Sound is tinny and not really up to par. The TV has all the connections you need so I run digital optical out to a Sonos Amp then into ceiling speakers.

Fantastic little tv
For the money this things great the pictures awesome the sounds a little lacking but most modern thin TVs are. The best bit is we can watch catchup without it being connected to the aerial as we don’t have access to an aerial socket in our kitchen currently.

Just the job
This tv was exactly what I was looking for, it is now in my bedroom, only downside is the poor sound quality but that is expected with most slimline TVs as theirs no where to put a descent set of speakers but a good sound bar is all you need, really good tv.

TV in kitchen
We bought this TV for use in our kitchen. We are very pleased with it especially as some TVs are difficult to see from an angle but this one is great. On a slight downside the remote is not as user-friendly as it could be but can’t fault the TV itself
