I picked this baby up during the black Friday sale at $265. I was going to buy this monitor and a 1080 monitor to compare and see what I prefer. The first thing I did after setting up this monitor was to reach B&H site and submit a return request. If you are a person who has reasonable expectation on color quality, then this monitor is not even close to be called as a good option. Colors are pathetic, and unacceptable. (I do video editing, no gaming. So that's my perspective.) I bought two of these, and I've been very happy with them. If you're looking for one monitor that has a lot of adjustability and built in speakers, this is not for you. Easier on your eyes
I bought a new monitor for my wife. It was a 32 HD IPS monitor but the resolution was 1920 x 1080. The price was cheap about $119. After setting it up, she noticed that the text looked a bit out-of-focus. She could see the pixels on the edge of the text making the type look jagged and rough. You get what you pay for. I returned the monitor for another a 27 HD IPS monitor with 3840 x 2160 resolution. She noticed the difference and was very happy. Larger resolution is better than a larger screen size. Pay the extra cost and you'll be happy and will save your eyes from strain.

Fantastic companion to a 2017 MacBook Pro 13 or 15
This screen is fantastic! I use it daily for spreadsheets and email and it is an enormous improvement on the last 1080p display I used prior. Colors are beautiful, the screen is super bright, and the pixel density is beautiful. **** one important note**** Cables matter, and USB-C hubs can reduce the options for the monitor on macOS. Some hubs/adapters can only do 4k@30hz, but if you do a DisplayPort to usb-c, or a HDMI 2.0 hub, then you can fully take advantage of 4k on macOS and choose to scale your resolution, just like you can on your MacBook Pro.

An Electronic Photograph
This monitor is on point! When the MMOs I play are cranked up to full resolution, they look like a photgraph on the screen......they are THAT GOOD! Only have had an issue with my Graphics Card....my ASUS PC has a Nvidia GTX 1070 Card and I should have ordered it with the GTX 1080. When playing ESO, my character keeps getting booted in heavy population areas like Wayrest......so I may have to drop the resolution down one step at a time until I find a workable one and just suffer the drop in clarity.

Great Monitor
I'm a very nit picky when it comes to the picture, but honestly this is one of the best i've seen. Every frame is clear and much depth, for the price point there isn't much better for the money, i purchased on black friday & only paid 299.99USD for it. I've never had any sort of IPS Glow with it. Both videos and games look great & perform great @ 4k on this, so much value compared to more expensive monitors that perform the same or not as good, take my word this monitor is worth every penny paid

Great 4K Monitor, reasonable price!
I purchased a couple of these a year ago or so, for my Windows PC, and just purchased a couple more for my MacBook Pro. They're awesome. Picture is great. Mac does a better job with the 4K Desktop experience than Microsoft, but but by no fault of Microsoft, rather, many of the older apps on the MS platform have a hard time with the scaling/zoom features... Anyway, back to the monitor - you can't go wrong with these! LG displays are always at the top of ratings, and these are no exception!

Outstanding image, infinitely adjustable.
I have it hooked up to my iMac with retinal display. I'll agree that it's hard to compare to the retinal display, but this is a really close second. We do a lot of design work, and the color rendering is spot on. We love it. The only issue we had was the wake-up after the iMac went to sleep. It took forever for it to reestablish communication. I solved it by setting the iMac not to go to sleep and just let the screen saver come on. Issue solved. c

Excellent value for a 4K monitor.
With the move to 4k video editing I had been missing out on the details with my two HP 221080 monitors. I purchased two of these to use as everyday monitors and for video and photo editing. I am not a pro worried about absolute color accuracy, just an enthusiast looking for good bang for the buck. I could not be more pleased with the slightly larger screen, crisp text, and fantastic 4k image. B&H had the best price and the usually prompt delivery.

great monitor for the price
Using this on a 2018 mac mini as the primary workspace display. Youll have to go into the monitor settings and turn off all the extra sharpening and contrast boosting garbage that it comes preloaded with, but once you do (and with proper calibration), the monitor produces a clean and consistent image. Better than anything else I looked at in this price range by far. Four stars only due to its comparison to more expensive monitors.

The most for your money!!!!
I did extensive research before purchasing this monitor and I can assure you it's really as good as they say! Other monitors with the same specs and an IPS panel generally cost at least $200 more. I run this off my MacBook Pro and the 4K display works flawlessly and is incredibly sharp (even as sharp as the Retina display). If you're looking for a budget monitor that can do gaming, 4K, and productivity/photo/video this is the one!

Sharp and bright
The monitor is nice and sharp. On my older Macbook Pro Retina the video card can only handle 30hz refresh but on my newer work laptop it's much smoother. The resolution is great and adds a ton of real estate. If you have an older laptop especially, you'll probably need to use the displayport connection for the high resolution. I bought a mini displayport to full-size displayport cable to go with this and it works perfectly.

Tremendous picture; Quirky with Windows Sleep mode
I have a two-monitor setup with a Radeon RX 580 graphics card. The picture is incredible! They are very bright, with amazing detail at 4K UHD! I can fit so much on one monitor that I almost dont need two monitors. The only issue Ive had is that they dont wake up when the computer comes out of sleep. I have to click the power buttons once the computer wakes up to get the monitors to display properly. (Windows 7, 64 bit)

Would be a great monitor, terrible service.
Ordered two, one came with dead pixels. I have sent a couple of emails regarding this issue and have not been contacted in nearly two weeks. The only responses I have received are a "we'll get back to you soon" and a "customer survey" -- a customer survey response as if someone has already worked with me on coming to a resolution of replacing a defective product that I have been delivered.

Good but can be better
Has all the necessary ports for connection to my computer or any hdmi devices. The only complaint is there are no built-in speakers so if you connect by hdmi, the sound goes to the monitor sound output automatically. It get complicated if you use devices like fire-tv stick. Monitor with built-in speakers would make it more convenient when you switch between multiple devices.

Good Monitor
For the price this is a good monitor. The only issue was that it required a driver update to function correctly through the onboard HDMI header on the motherboard. Before that was downloaded and installed it would give a pop up saying to use the correct cables, which I was using. Also after a few minutes it would completely go blank.

Used for photo editing and light gaming. Well built monitor with many features. One of the best features is the ability to split the screen. Comes with many options on size and locations. I also liked that the monitor came with the cables for each connection type. I always appreciate the speedy delivery from B&H.

Best monitor Ive ever owned.
Ive gone through a number of monitors in my time, but this one takes the prize. Im able to connect to my Imac and run a smooth 4K frame rate and switch seamlessly to my gaming PC and the picture is clear and clean. The price is perfect for my budget and I plan to get a long life out of this baby. Go get ya one.
