Good sound and lovely looking
This is a good looking sound bar setup with good sound quality. The bar itself is pretty wide and just fit on my TV stand but my TV is only a 42” . The wireless subwoofer is great and looks great. I did have a bit of trouble setting it up and it turned out I needed to buy some new cables to connect everything up (it took a while to figure out exactly what I needed as I didn’t find the instructions that great). Once set up it’s easy to use and the Bluetooth connectivity is a really nice feature.

great product easy to set up with brilliant sound
The sound bar and subwoofer are a high quality product that provide you with crisp clear treble, enabling excellent vocal clarity and the subwoofer provides generous good quality,deep base rumble .Following the clear instructions and using the included lead set up was easy.The LCD screen shows if the soundbar is on and what mode it’s in,the remote easily adjust the sound, treble and base.The only concern is the soundbar goes into power safe mode and turns off quite quickly in no sound situation.

Great sound system for our Snug
Bought this soundbar to go in our snug (14ft x 12ft) as we didn't want a surround sound system, just something that gave us depth to the sound from our tv. It's so easy to set up. The sound bar is connected directly into the back of our Mini Sky Q box with an optical digital output lead, there is no lag at all. Awesome sound quality & the subwoofer adds brilliant bass. May not be as effective in a large room but for our snug it was perfect. For the price of this piece of kit you can't go wrong.

Poor Sub performance let down more by Argos
Issue one Soundbar wont turn off - if my BT Box is still connected to TV (also Hitachi). Issue two sub drops connection if more than 3m away from sound bar. Instructions said it can be placed up to 5m away. Then there is the constant "wind tunnel noise" emanating from the sub when the base levels drop. Foolishly I approached both Argos technical help and customer support, hoping that I would in fact get some support. I may have well gone and asked next doors cat for all the good they were !

Great sound
Superb piece of equipment , nicely designed very slim front bar fits nicely in front of Tv without even being noticable , sub was placed just behind round the corner but as bass notes are generally non directional it makes no difference to the sound quality , in fact if anything it has enhanced it , plenty loud enough , great connectivity through HDMI ARC so it turns on and off with your tv remote plus the volume is also controlled remotely through your tv remote , highly recommended .

Great 2.1 Sound Bar
A great soundbar and woofer,it looks sleek and slick and would look great in any type of setup (mounted or on a table) The sound from the bar is perfect and not tinny like some sound bars. The bass speaker reproduces a nice low resonance and packs a punch when turned up. I put it on maximum volume for ten minutes and had no problems with distortion or drop out,pairing the subwoofer was a breeze and to all of 10 seconds. All in all you can't go far wrong with Hitachi's 2.1 sound bar.

Disappointing all round
We got a faulty unit. The subwoofer sound was intermittent. We followed the troubleshooting steps and nothing changed so we called the technical helpline number in the manual. The man there found a similar manual and read me the troubleshooting steps. He concluded that we had a dodgy subwoofer and would have to take it back to the store. In the store (Wick) we were treated like criminals or idiots, or both, when we insisted on a refund rather than a replacement. 1 out of 10 for Argos.

Great but glitchy
Having installed it, (which is never as straight forward with cables to fit to new components!) the sound quality is great with a hefty deep base. There's no net covered speaker, so no snags etc as time goes by, just a solid, heavy base unit with a rear sub. The brushed steel look is awesome, but the linear speaker..eitherworks straight away, doesn't work or works for a short period and goes off. Not sure if that's our set up or the soundbar. May be speaker or set up. .

What a diffence a sound bar makes
Pairs with my hisense tv over 'arc' hdmi ports so tv remote can control it. Watched jurassic Park to test the sound. What a diffence switching the bar on makes. Turning 'dts' on makes it even better. When the T-Rex first makes its entrance you can now feel the movie as well as see it. When 1st powering on TV, sometimes bar & TV doesn't sync properly. Switching off & on again usually sorts it. Not sure if it's the TV or bar causing this though. V good sound for the price.

Works ok - but..
Solidly made and looks great, but if using with a Sky box (for me) after rewinding or pausing it drops out and has to be turned on and off to reconnect. Bass is a little too much even turned down low The bass speaker is huge - and finding somewhere to put it could be a challenge. Connection is via HDMI ARC or optical - the bass speaker is via Bluetooth. May work best with its own brand TV maybe - when it works is fine but too prone to stopping connecting for me.

Hitachi Soundbar in lounge
A good value sound bar, has everything I I needed, such as Bluetooth, optical in and HDMI, connecting via HDMI does makes it easier to control with the TV remote, and it also switches off the soundbar with the TV. I am very pleased overall with the sound quality, the wireless sub auto connects no problem. Ocassionaly sound does not come through from the TV and I have to use the sound bar remote to turn off then back on. Overall very pleased with this product.

Improving performance (sound bar)
The soundar arrived and I needed to connect to a smart tv but the connections supplied are basic and do not enable you to use the sound bar to its best The instructions are a bit hard to follow and with mulipul options we resulted to UTube video Once connected it takes the sound bar and woofer a few switching of and on for the sound bar to memorise the setting but once finally connected the sound was like been in the cinema and easy to operate once set up

First Soundbar, from a 5.1 surround sound guy.
I ummed and ahhed about getting a soundbar as I've always been a dedicated 5.1 surround sound sort of person. Eventually had some spare cash on the hip to make a punt. There was no way I was getting a system without a dedicated sub, so the wireless option worked out great. The sound is superb and the functionality of controlling it with the TV controller is an added bonus. The ARC function also frees up a HDMI port on the TV! Blown away! 10/10

Great Value for money.
Very substantial packaging for such a small product. Easy to follow instructions made set up quick and simple. The sound bar is great value for money and ideal for those looking for a less expensive option. The base and sound are both very clear and the volume can go extremely loud giving a great experience when watching films. The stylish design makes it a great addition to our front room and sits perfectly in front of out 42’’ TV.

My hitachi soundbar and subwoofer sound lovely.
Really happy with my hitachi soundbar and subwoofer my favourite thing about it is the sound of the subwoofer and base has a quality sound to it. The sound bar also sounds great welcomes you when you power it up along with Bluetooth it's capable of running three different devices for your all round sound and connects your. Mobile phone I found it a breeze to set it up so all in all another excellent purchase from argos thanks

Great Sound
This is the best soundbar that I have had and I have had four in the last 3 years. I have it connected to the HDMI ARC and it sounds great, clear voice very good bass and turns on and off with LC TV the magic remote even controls the volume. Once you have got the sound as you want it your TV remote can control it. Bought from Argos on same day delivery and they kept me informed all the way. Very good price and great soundbar.

The one to buy!
This is a brilliant value for money sound bar. Audio: various options - Optic, Aux, HDMI, bluetooth. The subwoofer is wireless in terms of its audio connection with the sound bar however it does require a separate powered connection to mains and a separate mains for the SB Sound: The Sub makes a big difference to music - produces good bass. SB is excellent for watching movies - listening to dialogues, music, etc.

On a whim
Bought this on a whim to accompany a Samsung 4k TV whose sound was already quite acceptable in the bedroom. I listen lots of music and those relaxing soundscape videos of tropical rainforests etc. This sound bar comes into it's own then on ing bird noises and raindrops all over. Close your eyes after a hard days work and this thing can take you anywhere. Sonically at least. Defo recommed. Well pleased with it.

EASY TO SET UP, SOUNDS GREAT & LOOKS STYLISH
Very easy to set up, just plug in and play. It looks stylish and is a good size for my 48“ tv. Sounds great, especially with the subwoofer. Has really improved our tv watching experience. Great for listening to music from your phone or voice activated device as it’s easy to pair devices via Bluetooth. It also has Optical, HDMI and auxiliary inputs so can be connected to a wide range of devices directly.

Easy set up, great sound!
This soundbar has impressive bass and crisp sound, almost like a cinema! Sets up easily out of the box (HDMI cable not included), you just plug in your sky box etc and plug the sound bar into the tv and it's ready to go! The screen on the front makes it easy to know what's going on and Bluetooth setup for my phone took all of 10 seconds. A brilliant bit of kit that even a novice like me can use.

Plenty of connections
Looks good. Fits nicely under our tv and the sound is very good. Bass is ample and we rarely go over 4 on the volume for the sub. No issues with bass dropping off due to Bluetooth. The treble could do with another few notches but that’s a personal preforance. It has plenty of connections to go at and that’s what sold it for us. All in all a very good product at the price that I would recommend.

Sounds good!
This looks good, my ten year old found it simple to set up and it sounds good whether you’re listening to England going out of the World Cup, listening to music or watching a film. It looks stylish and is easy to clean. The sound bar is sleek and although the sub woofer is quite big it fits nicely in a corner. The sound is very good and transforms a movie. The remote is very handy too.

Hitachi Soundbar with Sub Woofer
This item was on sale for a good price and other reviews were good. The sound is great wired up with HDMI cable (ARC) output via Dolby Atmos setting. The auto switch off is annoying. Loads of quality sound and volume as much Bass & Treble as you personally need. I got the last one of these in my area so maybe not for sale anymore but a newer model may be improved over this one.

A solid sound bar for its price
PROS: This sound bar looks slick when wall mounted underneath our tv on the wall. It has a wide variety of inputs in the back which is why we ultimately chose this unit. CONS: The subwoofer did not pair immediately. It actually took around 24 hours for it to randomly start working. The subwoofer itself does struggle at low volumes, but produces great bass at high volumes.
