A very useful addition to the smart home. Linked to the Lounge I can play music where I want, get any information I want and do cooking conversions without touching a keyboard. Great piece of kit

A voice-controlled radio that can play any music.
So impressed with this machine! I bought one as a radio for my bedroom - it happily streams the BBC stations. In addition it (via my Google Play Music subscription) will play any music track or album I request, or just play music based on a theme. It also works as an alarm clock and will even make (free) phone calls. In addition it tells me the latest news, tell me of local traffic for my journey to work, give me a weather forecast and will answer virtually any question I throw at it.

Looks Great very discreet
great for my daily news briefing travel and weather updates. i use it everyday i add myself reminders to my calendar. even knows when i say something wrong and usually corrects it to what i actually meant. heard a lot of complaints on the audio quality but as a speaker that's smart as long as you dont have it on max volume its really great for that chilled read a book with some background music evenings. love the fact i can control my chromecast and netflix without trying to find the tv remote.

Google Mini is my new best friend in the kitchen
Works superbly and sound quality is great. Only a small issue is getting it turned down is difficult at times using touch control so having to always ask it to turn down for me.

My Mini looks fabulous and boils fast
Integrates nicely with my Philips Hue lighting system, and can cast videos directly to my TV and Chromecast. I plan to purchase more in order to make use of the group feature, which lets you play music throughout the house on these speakers.

A little disappointed
After a bit of a game, sorted the connection and was delighted to play whatever radio station I liked and to stream Spotify. However, it has lost connection on a number of occasions and is not consistent in reconnecting - sometimes it just needs to be turned off for a minute, other times, more tricksy. Advice on Google not that helpful

Practically already a member of the family!
We find it really useful and the kids absolutely love it! Particularly handy since we already have a Chromecast Audio in the same room hooked up to a really good quality speaker - so music sounds great compared to just using the speaker built into the home mini.

Google Home Mini works as expected
I was torn between the Google & Alexa and decided to go for the Google. Easy to set up. Has answered most questions asked to it. The voice sounds a tad robotic at times but not awful. Sound quality when playing music was much better than anticipated from such a small unit. Also impressed by its knowledge of foreign languages.

Great Gadget
This our 2nd mini and 5th Google home altogether. It's in our daughters room. Integrates perfectly with our other Google devices like chrome cast and Sony TV. We use it as part of a music multi room system too and household intercom system. She loves asking it questions and hearing the jokes it tells her. Great little gadget.

Like a Digital Radio but much more useful. If you have broadband get one you won't be disappointed even if you just ask it daft questions to make the day go quicker.

Google need to do more
It's not a bad gadget, more of a fun toy than anything else. It doesn't always know the answer to questions or even understand them despite swotting up on the right way to ask it things. Good to use for playing music, quizzes, travel questions etc. Doesn't sync with Google calendar on android phone for any events entered prior to purchase - only with events post-purchase. Google told me they're working on this omission.

Great Helper

Great little item
I bought the larger Google home at Christmas and was so impressed I bough the Google mini for the bedroom. For something a lot smaller than the bigger version it still sounds really good especially if you are playing music. Very impressed with them both.

Brilliant piece of tech
Great little piece of new technology. Works fantastically well for playing music, setting alarms and timers, tuning to radio stations, linking to your phone book to make calls, linking to bluetooth devices - speakers etc., - playing quizes, telling the time, keeping you up to date with the news and weather, linking to other google home devices to play in groups and answering questions you pose. Still exploring capabilities and with the automatic firmware update can't wait to see what's ahead.
