Great wireless lav microphones

May 15, 2011

I am quite pleased with this product. I have just started using this wireless microphone kit with my Zoom H4n digital audio recorder and I really like the way they work together. Transmission distance and sound quality are good for what I need. This kit suplements my camera shotgun microphones very well. The set is light weight and compact. It has multiple channels to work from between the transmitters and the receiver. Each transmitter is also a... Show More

Under Any Circumstance DO NOT BUY!

Apr 28, 2015

Bought this after reading the above reviews, clearly the good ones are a plant by Azden, they have to be. I tested this system out and it sort of works in a straight line with no obstructions but even then the sound clips on and off. I then used it for a fishing shoot with the Receiver in a straight line 12 feet from the two mic'd fisherman. You can see the antennas on each device in a straight line. However once you move the reciver even 5 degre... Show More

Why are there bad reviews?! Its been working great 4yrs!!

Dec 4, 2019

I purchased this system with an additional handheld transmitter so I can film roving trade show interviews with either the two lavs or the handheld, and my talent keeps their lav on and just switches to the handheld when necessary. It only cuts out for a sec every once in a while but so have all the other wireless unit I have used during 13 years of filming trade shows (including Lectrosonic). Other than that the units perform superbly in a harsh... Show More

Wishing this was better

Aug 2, 2012

Since I do a fair amount of interviews with two people on camera, I definitely needed a dual-channel system that was little hassle and easy to mount on my Panasonic hmc-150. While the mounting system is great - simple, straightforward, easy to set up and take apart, lightweight, and portable, I found that it comes across frequency interference all too often. It also picks up a fair amount of a low-grade hiss, making the sound less than crystal cl... Show More

Not a pro system

Sep 23, 2013

Bought this as an upgrade from our entry level Azdem WLX dual channel system, which is very much a consumer system. Audio quality of the 330 is much better, as is build quality. But unfortunately, constant audio dropouts made is almost unuseable. You'd lose syllables or whole words from your talent, and this happened with 100% fresh batteries, and at close proximity to the receiver. Even sent the unit back to the factory to get it repaired. But i... Show More

Great Custometr Service

Mar 30, 2012

We purchased the 330 UHF Dual Bodypack system for use with our video shoots. Upon receiving the product we had some issues regarding proper installation and required performance with the product when connected to the camera. Essentially we could not get both channels to function properly and talent was getting testy as we fiddled. Not being sure if we were actually doing everything correctly we decided to call Azden directly and request assistanc... Show More

Great product through several hours of use!!

Apr 24, 2018

I've owned one of these for four years now and have experienced nothing but great audio from these mics. The only time you'll experience poor audio quality is when the individual wearing the mic gets a little too far from the receiver on the camera (happens often in filming outdoor hunting tv shows). If you are wearing noise-cancelling earphones to monitor your audio input during the filming, a simple way to know that your wireless mics are runni... Show More

Easy to use, but spotty audio quality

Jun 24, 2013

Great little system, easy to use right out of the box, however, if you're a professional looking for prolonged, good audio, then this is not for you. The system drops out frequently (even in a controlled studio environment), causing frequency pops in your audio (ruins long projects like confrence recording or live events). The system also doesn't quite filter out the hum and high frequencies as well as the more expensive options. The mics themsel... Show More

Just what we needed!

Feb 28, 2012

We do two-person interviews from time to time, and wanted a wireless mic system to bring the audio to our video camera. This allowed us to eliminate the wires that normally would have been needed for doing this, and cleaned up the set nicely. One problem we noticed was that the hot shoe mount is a standard size, and the camcorder we have had the smaller hot shoe mount, so we were unable to mount it to the video camera in the way it was intended t... Worth the money

Nov 7, 2011

Used last weekend for the first time. Range was good 75+ feet and simple to set up. Would have got 5 stars but few little things: 1 - windscreens are real scratchy on clothing. Really had to watch how my subjects moved so it would not pick up the noise. 2 - The receiver has the camera mount which is great unless you have a light on the camera(which we did)would be nice to have a belt clip for this as well so you don't have to fit in your pockets ... nice equipment....fair price

I'm a video producer that make video for business clients. I need to have flexibility that wireless affords in different environments that this multi channel system gives me. I get clean, clear audio. Recently on a shoot I was doing an interview and when I took off my headphones at the conclusion, there was a radio playing softly in another room that I couldn't hear on the lav mic. The only negative about this product I've found yet is the lav mic clip design if flawed. The plastic clip that hold the mic is on the front of the alligator clip which causes problems when you mic talent.

Great Value for superior product.

We have just brought our show production in-house versus using a local TV station to produce our 1/2 hour program. We purchased this audio system based upon its price in comparison to the options it has. We will be in the field some, so the ability to choose a channel to record on in case of interference is a great plus. The 330LT UHF will be used on a Sony HDR AX2000 camera...great low profile audio for the small frame camera. I have not encountered any cons as of yet and don't know that I really will. Pretty straight forward system that will,I am sure, do its intended job.

Not the best dual UHF wireless system...

May 17, 2012

I've been using this 330LT mic system for a few months now, and it has been nothing but problems!! Audio always cuts out during shoots which makes this very unreliable. Have tried changing channels, setting one at high end and one at low end of frequency, etc, etc! If you plan to use this for professional video, stay away from this and spend more money on Audio Technica ATW-1821 system or better. This mic would be great for your home movies where audio cut-outs are acceptable, for shooting out in the field professionally, this Azden system will just be a waste of your time!

Right out of the box i was apprehensive - cheap and plastic for over $750 - could never get good volume on the mics through the reciever and to the recording device - I tried everything - the transmitters do have a volume adjustment but it did little to help boost the volume - I tried so many channels - I tried everything - wasted my time - Ended up ordering the Comica CVM-WM200 - right out of the box QUALITY at half the price everything works nice and loud - Almost like a Sennheiser - dont waste your time on these Azdens

Enjoying this system

Jun 5, 2013

I bought this set after doing extensive research. It was a step up in quality from what I was expecting, as I was looking for something to learn with. That made me very happy. I wanted something that I could mic two individuals with, and add a wireless mic to the mix later on. It's going to take a little practice, research and experimenting to really come up to speed with it, but I'm sure I can master it and get a lot of good use from it.

Pretty good product, so far!

Jul 29, 2013

I use it for single and dual mic in wedding and training video applications. The only downside is that the receiver is pretty big, and so I cannot use my on-camera light and my 330LT at the same time, while I can with my 310XT. A word of advice, mark the two transmitters, as figuring out which is which can be troublesome if you are in a hurry. Also, the same frequencies are used for the 310XT, so if you have both. be wary of cross-over.

Affordable kit with good capabilities

Mar 13, 2013

I used it straight out of the box at a trade show, within 5 minutes I had it set up and running like a champ. I used headphones to monitor feedback which helped, although adjustment came down to moving the mike closer/further away. The two channels were easily transferred and edited later. The mikes are good for a quick up and go, but if you are looking for greater control of ambient sound, you will need to look to specialty mikes.

Don't buy this if you live in a Europeen country

Jul 17, 2017

I purchased this product cause the price seemed fine, however my country applies to EU certification when it comes to wireless devices and I could not get the paperwork from Azden. They sent me some VERY old certifications that simply don't work in 2017. They couldn't help for anything else and I had to send this back to B&H. Please let customers know in advance if the products apply to EU laws before we purchase them. Thanks

Good Quality Mic

Sep 4, 2011

I was converned with this system, but did not have a lot of money. I liked the fact that you have two transmitters with one reciever. I have used it several times and really like it. Great sound quality. It takes a minute to learn how to set each transmitter on different freqs but once done I have had no issues. The nagative is that the mic is a little larger than I am used to an a little harder to hide.

Finally, a good dual channel receiver.

Feb 9, 2011

Anybody who uses two radio mics with a video camera knows that the grief you get from having two gadgets to mount and all the batteries to buy is a major problem. This kit is great because it solves that problem and allows me to add the other components if I don't want to use tie-clip microphones. It only loses a star because there are higher-end products with superior sound quality.

Sound Cuts Out Constantly

Sep 15, 2016

No matter what setting you put the receiver or the transmitter on, the loss of signal makes it totally unreliable and unusable. Unfortunately I started using this after the warranty ran out. Fortunately I had purchased another brand of system that works much better. This was a waste of my money and time. B&H would do well to stop carrying this model.

Good mic, good quality

Sep 4, 2011

I was concerned with this mic at first, but after using it I am happy. I like the fact that you have 2 transmitters with one receiver. This is handy as I don't have multipul items mounted to my camera. The quality is great. The negaitive would have to be that the mic and wind screen are a little larger than I am used to making it harder to hide.

Jun 15, 2012

I was looking for this kind of microphone to conduct TV interviews. The microphone work good for me, especially at indoor areas. The price is a little bit higher than what I was looking for. If you have a professional camera, you can improve the performance level of this microphone through the external microphone settings in your camera.

Not so great

Apr 11, 2011

This was purchased with the hopes it would simplify multi talent recording for location documentary work. It is a lightweight, no frills design with decent audio but the sound drops out frequently even when the receiver is close to talent. Maximum transmission range appeared to be less than 50 feet making it useless in our situation.
