Very useful
Great for taking notes, etc., but superb for Photoshop and other graphic apps on iPad. Charges pretty fast from your iPad lightning port, although it's seldom needed since the battery lasts quite a long time.

Much better than a simple stylus, this pencil responds to pressure and angle. Using compatible software, you can do all sorts of things you can't do with your finger or a simple stylus. Pressing harder can change the thickness of what you're drawing, or make it darker. Holding it at an angle can simulate holding a real pencil at an angle, so you can lightly shade with it. Pencil will die if not used according to Apple
After talking to Apple customer service yesterday, here are some bad news about the Apple pencil 1st gen: it's been replaced by the 2nd gen. And if you own an old Ipad Pro, you can't use the 2nd gen. works perfectly
i have been very impressed with how responsive the apple pencil is with my ipad pro 12.9 second generation. The apple pencil works wonderfully with procreate and is helping my family create outstanding digital art.

Great, but constant pairing is a pain.
Also tried Logitec crayon, crayon does not work as well as pencil. Price of crayon however is half that of pencil. Crayon good if price is important. Crayon does not need to be paired.

YES!!!!
I have 3 stylus gadgets. A Lynktec, a Jot Script and now this. The Apple Pencil is much faster in response and feels much better in my hand that any of the others. It also charges extremely fast. I bought a little cap cover with a loop on it that hooks on the pencil to keep the cap from getting lost while charging.

Feels like writing drawing with REAL pen and paper
I bought this Apple Pencil to use on the 9.7 2018 6th Gen iPad and it works fluidly as I remembered trying and falling in love with the Apple Pencil on iPad Pro, which then were the only iPads that Apple Pencil worked on. Great product, Better service
Apple Pencil is perfect for my girlfriend and myself. We are always on the iPad writing lengthy orders for our jewelry company. Great Addition to My iPad Pro
While it's a great addition to my iPad Pro 10.5 the design of it for charging it quite cumbersome. There must be some other way for Apple to make this less complicated and have less parts one could loose. My biggest con on this purchase was the box and instructions. So much more detail than I expected
I am very impressed with the Apple Pencil. After several years of being skeptical of this product, I decided to try it at the store. I was really impressed with how well it responded to my handwriting. I am using it with the Nebo app, and after a few days I feel as though I'm using a pen on paper. Additionally, the Nebo app is pretty amazing at turning my handwriting into OCR as I write. Thoroughly impressed and happy.

Perfect pencil
It works amazingly well. The point is precise and there is no discernable lag. Since the battery can not be replaced the pencil does have a finite life but it is worth its cost.

Worried that I'm going to loose it
With a classroom full of indistinguishable $100 Apple pens, I'm afraid of loss/ownership confusion. I wish they came in different colors or have some way to make this visually unique.
