Well I have to say I didn’t really want a echo, I was after a new DAB radio. Then I learnt you can play any radio station you like it’s a great Bluetooth speaker and connects to my Apple Music it’s great for information, news, weather, traffic and pretty much anything. I’m very pleased with the sound quality crisp, nice bass and reasonably volume. Also like most females I know Alex knows everything!! Well she thinks she does. ( Only a joke ladies) all in all I am very pleased with the echo plus

Impressed with Echo plus
After having a echo dot for over a year it was time to upgrade , The problem with the Dot is sound quality when playing music (I had to hooked it up to my bose system when listing to music ). first impression was how well built it is with a quality feel, setup was simple with the app and was quickly up and running. I was massively impressed with the " room filling base" this little thing has with good low notes crisp highs, I now only use my bose for films . You will not be disappointment

Like having company!!
Having an Alexa is like having company in the house. I got it when my son went to uni and the house was quiet. Now she wakes me every morning says goodnight with a positive message and a song, If I wake in the middle of the night I can ask the time without even opening my eyes. I honestly didnt know what all the fuss was about but now I have her, Id not be without and even bought a second for downstairs. Even my 5 year old can use it. Its so good my mums bought one too. Recommended for sure!!

Get this before the dot!
I choose to buy this with a Philips light bulb in a deal, so I already had my first smart set up (this has a built in hub, with a echo dot you need to buy a Phillips hub). Connection was seemless. We all love alexa, adding timers, shopping lists, playing games etc. There are many things alexa can do so I won't bore you with the details. As a standalone speaker., the echo plus is far superior to the dot another reason I went for it and it looks way cooler. Make this your first smart purchase!

We love Alexa - but not Argos
Drove 30 mins to the only Argos with Echo in stock. Got home, opened the box and found there was no packaging or leaflet inside, just the Echo and the plug. The top was covered in scratches and the speaker had fingerprints all over. It had obviously been returned by someone. We returned it to our local Argos the next day (Speke - very helpful staff), where the staff couldn't believe that someone had been allowed to return it in such condition. Got our money back and ordered new from Amazon.

Have pondered with buying one of these for a while and eventually took the plunge ..so stylish discrete sound is amazing and range from where voice can be heard is amazing very very easy to set up not only can you ask questions play music its an alarm clock..appointment reminder grocery list you can play games with her or in a group the things you can do with your echo is endless am glad i took the plunge and got one i wouldnt be without it now ....How did i ever cope without alexa x

Amazon Echo Plus
Great product and addition to our home. We already had smart heating, plugs and lights and it works perfectly with all of them. The sound quality is excellent on this speaker for use with Spotify. Handy for asking questions about the news, weather and other general queries. I love that it plays rain and storm sounds when relaxing with a book. It looks much nicer than the previous models and doesn't look out of place in our living room. Looking to get a dot for the bedroom now too.

Sceptical and now I'm a fan
I actually thought this was nothing more than a fad. In the the beginning VC (Voice Control) was at best, not good! I have to say this system is at best, brilliant. There are a couple of connectivity issues here and there with some 3rd party products, but in general I'm am very impressed with Alexa. The sound quality is outstanding with this version and I can't really see a requirement for a bose or sonos speaker anymore. So far 5/5 Try it, you wont be disappointed.

I only bought this to see what all the fuss was about (I'm a gadget freak) although I'll have little use for it, in the foreseeable future anyway. Pro's are > Superb sound, Easy setup and connectivity if you want to run a hive style system and works with your iTunes account etc. Con's > Alexa is nowhere near as smart as Siri, for now anyway, . Buy this if you want Hive connectivity and quality sound music, avoid if you expect to find use as an A.I. style P.A.

i like it lots!!
these look good and in my opinion, are well made. i have given the sound 4 stars, but my actual feelings on the sound, are very good for the size. i have a dyson cool link fan and hue light bulbs, and these work well, but at times, alexa gets a little forgetful and cannot find these. this does get better if you have no background noise and you direct you speech to the echo plus; you must also phrase your requests in a way she knows. woundnt be without them!!

Alexa does almost what you ask
The Echo plus 2nd generation is a brilliant piece of kit. Easy to use. Will play music with voice control. Will turn on your lights with smart plugs or bulbs. Sound quality is very good for its size. With smart plugs you can set your lights to come on with voice control or set up as a timer and they will come on and off automatically. It is good!! It does a lot more but best to have a music provider if you want advert free playing.

Work in progress
This is a product which still a way to go in its extension and refinement. It wasn’t as easy to set up as I expected (although that may have been made worse by the loss of internet connection part way through). It seems to work well with set things, but it can’t recognise full language. The sound quality is good for a small speaker and here I am enjoying some music from Spotify having verbally asked for it....

Great Sound.
Didn't get the free Phillips Hue Bulb with the offer as there was no stock but that's nothing to do with the Echo. Argos sales person did say to keep checking for stock and come back when back in. Sound quality is great for the size of plod. Thought I'd be able to stream music without having to subscribe to Amazon Prime or some other streaming port but that's down to me not looking into it.

Love the sound
The sound quality on the echo plus is amazing. I just kept asking Alexa to play my favourite tunes. Apart from this, I found the device disappointing with regards to other features. Trying to use my Hive home heating through Alexa is way too long winded. You have to remember the different words to say which I don't have time to do. I have now stuck to the Hive app instead.

Amazon Echo Plus better than ever
I puchased this as replacement for a first generation model that got wet .Thus far it is definitely superior it's smaller than it predsessor, seem louder or at least clearer, and has replaced the twist top with more sensible volume controls. It retains the the built in home hub which justifies it's slightly higher price as competed to standard echo or dot .

Amazing entertainment addition .
Love my new Echo plus, sleek design, I play music from Amazon and also radio stations the sound is fabulous, better than I was expecting .. I have it in my kitchen and I use to set reminders, also holds my shopping list. Would not be without it! perfect addition to my home, kids enjoy using Echo too, asking questions and jokes. Amazing gadget for the price.

Interesting purchase!
I like this new device especially when I can turn the music on in the morning with my voice or instruct to set the alarm. I am still exploring the device capabilities. I have a Prime membership, that helps. I think it will be not quite useful without Prime membership, especially if you are a music lover. Over all a good addition to my gadget portfolio!

Plus sized!
We have the echo dot in every room but love the increased size of the plus. Perfect for the living room. Sound quality is great and connects easily to other dots to give a surround sound feel throughout the house. Control lights, heating and loads of other connectable devises through Alexa. Kids love it for practicing tunes tables, spellings and trivia.

Brilliant Sound, Alexa does everything
Whatever Alexa does not know is not worth knowing anyway. Sound quality is brilliant, also purchased some Phillips Hue Lightbulbs and now control the lights in the bedrooms, because this has a in built Hub no need for the phillips Hub. Expect the Echo plus to be able to turn your cooker and toaster on soon!

Superb Product
Having moved into a new house I purchased this as a starting point to turn the property into a smarter home. Once Alexa was set up I was able to connect my Sonos , smart plugs bulbs etc. The voice activated systems are fantastic and looking forward to adding indoor and outdoor cameras and thermostats

I feel like I have a new best friend
The amazon echo plus has definatley got a thumbs up from me. After dithering and digging my heels in on moving with technology. I am so impressed with everything it does and am still learning. Just trying to work out what I was scared of in the 1st place as it does everything for you.

"good addition to the house"
I bought alexa plus for music mostly, the sound is great. Also many many different things you can ask, weather etc, I use alexa to time stuff while I'm cooking. Iv have a Phillips hue bulb that I can control with alexa, which is cool, can also dim the light, very easy to set up.

STILL FINDING EXTRA THINGS IT WILL DO!
Very impress with this gadget. Like the fact that you can ask Alexa to call someone. Quizzes are good fun. Had trouble trying to team up with my itunes library although I understand it will do it - given up for now though. Great at finding radio stations and morning alarm calls.

One of our best purchases ever - great
Our amazon echo plus helped make our Christmas even more enjoyable. Technology today never fails to amaze me. Unlike computers and mobile phones, this product is very user friendly especially fo us older citizens. I have already recommended it to two of our family members.
