Very smart looking
I have recently brought the 2nd generation Amazon Alexa and I have to say it is alot smarter looking than the first alexa (I also have this one 2) the sound quality it's amazing for the size of it it's much more clearer it fits nicely everywhere and doesn't stand out like the other one I would recommend it to everyone. Only one thing I would prefer is that it has the so spining volume control on the top like the other old one.

How did we cope before Alexa???
Brilliant !! Don't know how we coped before Alexa, I can turn thermostat up before even getting out of bed on a cold morning just tell Alexa to do it ! Can turn lights on and off using Alexa, she reminds me to do stuff, makes my shopping list for me, tells me jokes, gives news updates, plays games. She even entertains my daughter ! She's part of the family now and wouldn't be without her. Xxx

New echo has great sound quality
I previously had a Echo dot but bought this during black friday sale for not much more. Sound quality is amazing for such a small device and fills the room, worth the cost alone just for the speaker but Alexa makes it so much more. Bought another for my mum to use as a radio. She struggles with modern tech and just has to say " Alexa, play BBC radio 4" and hey presto.

My echo looks sleek and stylish and even with my poor technical knowledge I had it up and running in minuets. I love it and so does all the family even our little 2 year old uses her.

Love Alexa!
This is my second Alexa. I love the compact newer version. The colour options are neutral so more subtle than the black or white units. Sound quality is reasonable and they can be paired with external speakers. I love the product so much that I bought some for Christmas presents this year.

the echo is brilliant but boring
Item good but still not received an email receipt of purchase as promised in store. A till receipt was not an option.

Amazon echo, now wife has intelligent partner
Bought the echo 2nd generation for my wife for Christmas so she could listen to music when there are no soaps on. Turns out "alexa" does alot more than just play music, like answer general knowledge questions, set timers, tell you the weather/news and remind you of appointments, just to name a few uses. We also used New Years Eve for our party music, which had ample volume even over our perfectly pitched drunken voices. Overall, haven't found fault as yet, great piece of kit.

Alexa... our new best friend
Ask Alexa to play nursery rhymes to your children, play songs by your favourite artist, confirm the weather forecast, help with homework.... & lots, lots more! She's a font of all knowledge, every home should have one! You do need wifi. If you want her to control your heating & lights, you will need to purchase additional equipment that's wifi enabled & compatible with amazon echo.

Fun with Alexa
Having decided we need more music in our lives, and having seen all the hype about going really hands free with voice activated devices, I purchased an Echo as a Christmas present. It certain generated a lot of fun and interest for the whole family over the holidays. There is now more music, and recipes and other skills, but learning the correct sequence to converse with Alexa will take time, but give us lots of fun and laughter.

Pretty Impressive!
I'm impressed with this device. The sound quality is good, though not stunning (so, as you'd expect from a smallish speaker) - if you have Prime, there's loads of music included - and you can always connect to an external speaker if you need better quality or louder sound eg for a party! Voice control works pretty well - and allows control of my Logitech Harmony remote control and Hive heating using skills freely installed from the Alexa app - both of which are really handy to have!

It's getting better every day.
An easy to setup and useful smart speaker with loads of "skills" available via the Alexa app. Initially the sound quality was a little "muddy" and some responses to questions were hilarious. Following a firmware update the sound has improved considerably and responses to questions are generally more relevant, although less amusing. It streams music extremely well from Amazon music and various radio stations. All in all one of my two best buys from 2017.

Worth the money from echo dot for the sound system! Can be used by our 5 year old and if you have prime the music options is vast. Highly recommend.

Alexa is a mind of information!
Very easy to set up. Great to be able to stream music through and easy to transfer through the house if you wanted to use it elsewhere. Great for the calendar entries - a really good reminder as long as we all use it consistently. Looking forward to learning about what we can do.

echo dot, best buy ever
The sound quality from the echo dot is fabulous, no more CD,s or stereos. Wish I'd got one sooner, amazing piece of kit. My sister and niece are both getting one after sampling ours.
