Very Restrictive Use
This is $300 I should have put towards a decent gimbal. The Came-TV cage design has significant flaws. #1 and most important for me is that you cannot mount a B4/micro 4/3rds adapter and use an ENG lens while the cage is in use, because the front part of the cage is too close to the lens mount. #2 It is very difficult to insert a mic plug into the camera, due to the frame being too close to the port. #3 The quick release system is worthless since... Limited use / Expensive Price! forget using B4 lenses
Really expected more from such an expensive DSLR cage. It is well built, but I wanted something that I could mount to my new GH5 and then be able to swap out various formats of lenses. Which you can do as long as you are using DSLR type glass. I have several B4 ENG lenses that I plan on using, but the face plate of this very expensive cage prevents the mounting of the B4/mciro 4/3rds adapter! And part two of my beef with this product is the quick... Show More

Great!
Serves its purpose. I had no problem taking the battery out on my rig. Note - if you do have a meta bones adapter on your gh5 you might have to unscrew the adapter support in order to fit the body in correctly.

not for me
I bought this cage after several years of use with the Came TV cage with the GH4. I liked the GH4 version in terms of secured hotshoe / handle / rail system. However after initial inspection, I did chose to return this. The GH5 version has apparently gone in a slightly different direction for the GH4 cage. There must have been a revision already because the handle mount is very different and not pictured here. That was one reason. I can say that ... Show More

Not full access
As per the first review and other online reviews, this cage with the baseplate, does not allow allow full access to the battery compartment. Try explaining to your client why you missed a shot because you had to dismantle your rig to change the battery! If retailers and manufacturers are going to make performance claims, they should be accurate.

Pretty good cage for the GH5
The cage is solid, easy to hold and exactly what I needed. The only issue is popping the battery out of the camera requires sliding the camera off of the rig to the right, otherwise the door gets caught on the cage. That means moving your follow focus and anything else on the rails as you slide the camera to the side. So that sort of stinks, but overall, not bad.
