Beautiful display

I transitioned from Apple to Windows and purchased this monitor to work with my Dell 15 XPS with Thunderbolt 3. Additionally I have a G-Drive Shuttle RAID running on TB3...so the plan was to daisy chain and take advantage of the advertised speed. Bottom line it took me a couple of tries to get everything hooked up in a way that allows for TB3 daisy chain. Based on my experience this monitor does not supply enough power to charge the laptop (surpr... Show Moreise, as the specs state it outputs 45W which is what the Dell states is needed) nor is it enough to run the G-Drive (no surprise there). However, with a couple of tries and reconfigurations I have managed to get everything connected and working. And I am quite pleased. My previous set up with a MacBook Pro and Apple Cinema Display along with an OWC ThunderBay4 and Thunderbolt Port had become quite a tangle mess of cables and wires. Plus the Thunderbolt Port had some annoying traits. I find the monitor to serve well as a port and display. Disappointingly it is NOT full 4k so I do lose resolution when working in the Creative Cloud apps, but hey, I upgraded from an old Apple Cinema display so even the lose in 4K is not noticed by me. Caveat...I am NOT editing 4K footage at this point. This will probably become more of an issue down the road as I transition to 4K content. TL;DR This monitor is a great alternative to purchasing both a monitor AND a hub. I like what I see so far!Show Less
