Pin sharp and awesome bokeh!
No need to purchase the 45mm f/1.2. Only other photographers may see a difference between that lens and this one. Save the cash and gain extra portability. Image quality is pro grade and well not disappoint. If size matters to you, then put an extra large lens hood, ha!

Surprised by its sharpness
I was quite surprised by the sharpness of this lens even at its widest aperture, but I guess I shouldn't have been since I know that Olympus produces some of the best affordable glass available. The body is plastic, it isn't weather-sealed like the PRO lenses are, and it's tiny when mounted on the E-M1X. However, the images are wonderful: sharp, contrasty, minimal CA, and bokeh/background blur is pleasing. I'd read of some copies having center-fo... Show More

Awesome Lens - Keeps People and Drone Safe
I love this lens because I can stay 1-2 blocks away from the subject(s) and still get high quality shots closeups as required so love this lens.

Very sharp
Waited until it came on sale at B&H. Very happy with the purchase. It is a great portrait lens. With some inexpensive extention tubes it makes a great macro lens also.

sharp, cheap, quick focus, what else could you want?
My favorite and most used lens on my Olympus OMD em5 mark ii. Sharp as a tack and just works great. Made me love m43 for the ease and joy of the system. Highly recommend. Just be sure to test it for decentering because fast primes can be spotty this way.

So happy with this lens, I bought another micro 4/3 camera.
I own the Olympus OMD EM5 and was satisfied with the pictures and video but was considering a full frame camera to get better photos, but decided to try this lens after watching youtube reviews. I immediately felt like a pro photographer and realize how much difference a great lens makes all the difference in your results and image quality. I watched a video on how a pro print shop printed pictures from a micro 4/3 camera along with a full frame ... Show More

Valued buy
Came across this kit package that included lens hoods and lens pouches. When purchased separately one would pay a few extra $$. The 75mm is sharp with very nice bokeh, feels good in the hand with solid construction, all metal. The focal length is a challenge in tight space and thats where the 45mm comes in, also sharp and good bokeh but made of plastic though its light. No regret buying it. Paired well with pen f or omd 5 mark I.

Phenominal, worth every penny.
Confidence inspiring In fact I just purchased yet a third Micro 4/3 camera with 3 additional lenses and ditched my idea of going along with the full frame craze as this lens opened my eyes as to the potential of this system with using great lenses. Ive used it also for video with wonderful results. in one word (Magic)

This excellent lens is a bargain for the price.
I have the Big Brother of this lens the 45mm F1.2 Lens also and I really have to talk myself into to see any difference between the two lenses for sharpness. The F1.2 is probably a ted sharper at wide open at F1.2 than this one at F1.8, but the difference is negligible. From F2.8 they are identical. I use this one on my Silver PEN-F with all the rest of the excellent Olympus small fixed focus lenses. The whole setup fits in myBillinghamHadley Small Pro Shoulder Bag. Outstanding lens, highly recommended.

Best Lens in My Inspire 1 Kit
Unlike you might think, this lens image is quite stable in flight. We can now shoot sports events from a height that keeps the drone sounds out of the ground mikes pick up range and still see the athletes/performers as individuals and not ants. Wise investment.

Great on DJI X5 camera
Worked perfectly right out of box! Did have to balance it but was a piece of cake. Super sharp! Really happy with purchase and of course b&h photo had it packed properly. Thank you!

Great lens
After a week with this lens, I can tell that it is not just a great portrait lens but can also be a good option for landscape, depending on the space you have to use it. Absolute sharpness. For the price, it is just awesome. I am very impressed and happy with it.

The Perfect Budget Portrait Lens
I purchased this lens as a portrait lens for my Panasonic G85. It is the perfect portrait lens! Takes great photos and video! I would highly recommend to anyone! I chose this over the panasonic 42.5 because of it's price ($250) and already had in-body stabilization with my G85, so didn't need it as much in the lens.

Incredible Glass
This is a very sharp lens and a perfect focal length for many applications outside of doing headshots. My only small complaint is that compared to my other Olympus lenses, this one seems a tad slow to autofocus, and in slightly less than optimal lighting conditions, it may hunt for focus.

Fantastic Drone Lens
This was a replacement lens for my DJI Inspire 2 camera drone. My original lens was the unfortunate victim of a power line collision. This lens is perfect for aerial photography where you want relatively close-up shots without actually getting too close to buildings or people. Quality design, precision optics and a reputable vendor that promptly shipped my order. I am very happy with my purchase.

Woah! Sharp, fast and an amazing bokeh
I am quite impressed with this small lens. I was taking a stroll through Yodobashi in Japan when I decided to strap this lens onto my GX850 to just give a try. I was instantly impressed with the outcome and bought one right there.

These hit a sweet spot.
These are two very sharp and compact lenses for micro four thirds cameras. I use them for street photography. I have paired them with Olympus 12 and 17mm primes, so I have four lenses that dont seem to attract attention, focus quickly and have great quality, both in construction and in the images they produce. This kit includes lens shades, which are good quality. It seems that Olympus, Panasonic and others are concentrating now on big zooms, but... Show More

Very impressed
So happy with this lens... and for the price it is hard to beat. Olympus "value" line lenses have been surprisingly good. I came from the medium format commercial era where the Zeiss Sonnar 150mm for the Hasselblad 500 was king. I've been lamenting that lens, but not any more!

Best 4/3 lens own
This lens is incredibly sharp, easy to use and lightweight. Although its know for portraits, I've used it for landscapes when I need a tighter field of view. Excellent bokeh too. This is a no brainer, must have lens for anyone using Olympus bodies.

Best lenses I have ever had.
I compared this with full frame canon lenses and I saw no difference, so I sold all my full frame canon stuff and moved into the micro 4/3 world. Much lighter w/o loosing much image quality. You must know that only a few micro 4/3 lenses are really good... and it's hard to swallow because the good ones are more expensive that the cameras... so don't change systems for the money... do it for the fact that they are much lighter.
