Excellent monitor with sleek design

Jan 8, 2020

Overall great monitor. I was looking for quite a while for a 2k monitor with a high refresh rate, and this was the best looking one that fit my price range. This monitor is great for an experienced pc user/gamer. I was surprised that even on ultra-high graphic settings on demanding games like Rust and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, the monitor was able to deliver 80-120 frames per second, on my pc that has an i5 CPU and GTX 1080 GPU. Great monitor for the money

Mar 18, 2019

The only negative remark I have about this product is the packaging, bottom corner was smashed... luckily the monitor was in perfect working condition. Currently using it was Nvidia gtx 1080 gpus(freesync yah yah) Performed as needed for my requirements(not a hardcore fps gamer). Would buy another one but then Ill need a bigger desk. *Note for all you aftermarket monitor stands/arm mounters: will not fit anything as the recessed corner of the screw area is triangular and not squared off. Will need to use screw post for 99% of all mounts. (Yuck!)

Decent for gaming

Dec 20, 2018

Its fine for gaming. At 60Hz with response time set to Fast there is very noticeable ghosting on moving objects. Higher refresh rates (120Hz for example) looked fine with it on Fast. Uniformity is decent. Light splotches only appear in very dark images in a dark room. Colors over DisplayPort from PC is fine. On PS4 over HDMI however Im noticing crushed blacks that werent there with a BenQ. Adjusting the video output range between full and limited... Show More

Decent for gaming

Dec 19, 2018

First of all, its fine for gaming which is what I bought it for.Uniformity is decent, light splotches only appear on very dark images in a dark room. Contrast and DCI-P3 numbers didnt quite live up to specs. I only calibrated it so it would match my main monitor. The following are with brightness measured at ~100 cd/m^2, Black Tuner set to 9. Measured using i1DisplayPro. i1Profile reported: Normal mode color temperature: ~8200 K Warm mode col... Show More

Dead Pixel & Not Expedited & Scratched back side

Dec 15, 2018

I received yesterday from Cyber Monday deal a MSI Optix MPG27CQ 27 Monitor with Many dead pixels & wrong shipping label not expedited and pretty beat up box no outer brown box to protect the monitor box. Also a nice dandy Scratch on the back of the monitor. The place where you put the monitor stand together looks like it was smugged down to see the serial number items looks used and was returned as if nothing was in proper packaging the cables we...
