Excellent speaker
This is a great product. I normally don't write reviews, but this exceeded my expectations. I use it for multiple purposes. 1. As an entertainment device 2. As a keyboard amplifier for my MIDI controller/iPad portable keyboard rig using the 1/8 iPad output and 1/8 iLoud input. Pros -Great sound and frequency response at low or high volume -Ability to use bluetooth and wired connection at same time -It seems well built

Great sound but battery cannot be charged
Like another reviewer, battery doesn't retain a charge as well. Otherwise, the sound is awesome.

Great speaker!!!
Sounded great! Really the best bluetooth speaker out in the market. So balanced that compares to studio monitors. Generally satisfied! However, the TRRS cable is missing but they said another one will be shipped to me.

Acceptable loudness.
For mobile entertainment, I always try to look for the maximizing of loudness while minimizing the size of the speaker, this one somewhat does the job. The sound is warm and loud enough to fill the room, you may have a party out of it yet. I am of the opinion that it should have a volume level indicator right on the volume knob. Also, the case design should lean on the rugged side a little more, after all, being a mobile device means it may sometimes find itself outdoors fighting the elements.

Very Disappointed to a great product.
iLoud sounds great but i was very disapointed when the unit won't work on battery operation. I charged it thru wall outlet for the whole night so i can take it following day to the park in our Bar BQ with my family and friends..we ended up having a Bar B Q party without any music. Don't hesitate to buy this bluetooth speaker!
My brother owns one of these units and I was really impressed by the sound quality. I was a little concerned about the brand (never hear of IK) but based on my brothers experience and the positive reviews - I paid $ at B & H. It's perfect and the sound quality amazes everyone who hears it..The only neg. is the lack of a remote control, however, it's a minor complaint as you just control the volume with your phone..

Wow! Buy iLoud for clean & loud music!
Wow. I love this thing. Don't let the cheesy name deter you. This thing is amazing. I had originally bought a Fugoo after reading so many glowing reviews but after bringing the Fugoo home and putting on some tunes, I was saddened by how weak the sound was (even after upgrading the firmware). Better than Bose
Wow! For their first time out of the shute IK Multimedia has dealt a swift blow to the king of portable. For the size, this iloud impresses mightely. Clean, crisp and pure with a bottom end that isn't boomey or overly colored. If this holds up well we may be witnessing the birthing of a giant killer. Love it, just hate the name and bias towards Apple. Keep it up IKM!

Excellent speaker
I compared virtually all portable speakers in the NYC B&H store and liked this one much better than others (except one from Sony that was much larger and hardly portable). In particular it's order of magnitude better than all Bose speakers (except when Bose plays specially processed demo-music, beware of this cheat!) It produces very clean and balanced neutral sound and can be surprisingly loud for its size. No boomy bass, since it's netural. But it's capable of producing a good bass (for its size!) when it present. I do use a software DSP on my nexus 10 to add a bit of color to my taste.

Great little device indeed!!
I intended to use it primarily as a companion to IK multimedia Amplitube on iPad to practice guitar and bass. So I needed decent sound, ability to go down in the spectrum, and a certain amount of decibels. I was not disappointed in any of those fields!
