Good mic for the price.
Purchased this mic for my teenage daughter since she became a song writer. Tried this mic on my Pro Gear Setup and it sounded very clean and surprisingly nice ! I had and have a lot of Behringer gear and was always satisfied with the products!

Clean, crisp, sensitive recording!
We are a vocal duo, we bought two C-1 microphones and are very pleased. They are sensitive enough so that we don't have to hover on top of them, and we can move naturally as we sing. We can control our volume dynamics well by leaning in or out. The high-end response is great clean and sharp without being hissy or shrill. It's minor, but the appearance is cool as well because of the color and the upright stance. We have not needed pop screens, we stay about a foot away and sing at a small room volume.

Works Great!
Would like to compare it to a expensive mic - like Neuman. But for my current home studio purposes it is well worth $$. With a reflection filter and pop screen, I can tolerate my vocals. Will progress to higher quality when merited - but the C-1 is a huge improvement over the cheap Nady and Auto-Technica dynamics I've been using

Solid Performer Great Price
This is a fairly robust microphone for the money. We're using it for vocals but it's response is crisp and has great tone and clarity. I'm curious to try this mic on a cab or other instrument. There are no controls for shaping the pick up pattern but at this price I didn't expect any. If you need a cost effective solution to get good sound this is a great option and if you're starting out in audio recording this is an even better starting point. It's not the end all be all but I could see it becoming a workhorse real quick due to it's current performance.

Kids Love It!
So far so good with our new Behringer mic. I run a program for disadvantaged kids and we have a small music studio. Last year one of our mics went missing and the other one got broken. It's taken awhile to get the money to get a new one, but the price for this mic was perfect (that's one of the great things about it) and my kids are now busy in the studio again. Thanks

They do the job
The sound is good, but a little lacking in gain. I have another mic that I'm using (AKG Perception 120) in my podcast, with a little more gain, but the clarity is about the same with both of them. For the money, you can't beat it.

Sure worth the money
Used the Mic for a jam for acoustic musicians and it picked up nicely from several feet away.

Great mic for a low cost
I use this mic for an internet radio show and for pod-casting. Got it, plugged it into my sound board and it has been working great ever since. Sounds good and it's very durable.

plugged in to my Focusrite Saffire the C-1 has very good sound that is comparable to many of the over priced mics.

Best $ I ever spent
I've now purchased 3 of these so I could have a pair for stereo recording and keep one for voice overs at the day job. Price to quality ratio is incredible, period. The mic is a little sibilant, but I'd take this $ large condenser for VO over a $200 dynamic mic any day! I accidentally left one of my C-1s on the stand (with a Samson shock mount) and discovered it was knocked over by rampaging cats overnight. As far as I can tell, there was no damage. Purty sturdy!

Good condenser for the price.
This microphone may not have the best sound quality, but it's just about the only condenser that can be found at this price. I thought the sound quality would be poorer than it actually was, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Wonderful starter mic
I'm completely surprised as to the sound quality, clearity of this mic. The flat signal response is amazing. Just what I needed for my home studio.

Best studio mic for the buck
Giving this mic a 5 star rating as compared to it's bargain price. The Behringer C1 equals to the Shure SM27, yet with a $250 price difference. Of course, there's nothing like a Neumann U87, but if you're on a budget and have good production techniques - the C1 is fantastic.

Great Mic for the money
I use this in my home recording studio, and it is very quiet and sounds nice and full. Really, for the money it sounds excellent.

Not bad for $ and change
I bought this mic to use with my little musical group to track some songs on to ProTool. To me it sounds just as good as most of the sub $200 large condensers out there, that said I did have the mic plugged in to a very high quality pre amp on a film mixer. Just Eq properly, and you'll get a decent sound. However I wouldn't be caught dead using this mic for a paying VO session, for me it's strictly a personal thing.

Much better than any I've used before
The Behringer C-1 condenser microphone is what I would consider to be my first 'real' microphone; at least it's my first XLR mic. It's amazing, the difference it makes to my recordings. I'm just a novice when it comes to recording, but I've always loved audio. I bought a M-Audio Delta 1010LT some time ago for it's great multichannel capabilities and have only touched the surface of what I can accomplish with it. I am a GNU/Linux FLOSS (read Free/... Good value
I bought the mic for voice recordings with a M-Audio MobilePre USB audio interface. Works and sounds great. Compared to the old dynamic mic, the recordings are now noise-free. While the mic is well made, the included holder (btw. a 3/8 adapter is included, too) is a little bit loose. Adding a small ring cut from cardboard fixes this problem$this mic is a steal!

Great mic
I am a film student at NYU, using this mic for basic voiceovers and small projects. It is a great mic for the price for me. The sound is great with very low hum noise, and it has great mid-range pickup. Bass and upper pickup isn't the best if you were recording super-high-end, but its amazing for$I highly recommend this.

Mediocre out of the Box, Quite good when modified
The Behringer C-1 is one of many Chinese-manufactured condenser mics that suffer from two common problems - it is simultaneously ill-defined in the critical midrange and excessively harsh in the treble range. While the circuit used in the mic is quite clever and fairly well implemented, the sonic deficiencies lie within the condenser capsule and headbasket acoustics.By and large, Chinese-manufactured mics use condenser capsule copied from classic... Can you say Wow
For the price... come on! If you like to just waste money then buy something more expensive. If you want to have great sound on a shoestring budget then buy it. I really like the way it picks up the room when the capsule is aimed at the wall. Expertise: Enthusiast Problems Encountered: None, yet.
