Love it
My first large-diaphragm condener microphone. After comparing specs with others this one won out because of the good reviews, 3 polar pattern switch and price. That Behringer is also known for other audio equipment doesn't hurt...and an aluminum case with shockmount and windscreen rounded things out.

A Great Start
I use this mic for almost everything and the sound is very clear. Big advantage between this model and the B1 is the switch between pickup patterns.

A Good Mic at a Great Price!
Indigo said I wonder how many are professional audio engineers?... Shame on me for trying to save some cash and listening to the words of amateurs. Besides lacking the common sense to send the mic back to try another one (B&H has one of the best service sections around) he decides to insult folks in the process....very pro level by anyone standards. This is a fine mic, and it covers a lot of bases well. Most vox, both M & F, A Dean EAB, Acoustic ... Show More

Great Value for the price
This mic is a great value for the price. I too am an Audio Engineer/TV Broadcast Engineer, and the advertised specs do check out as stated. You can get a defective product from anyone, and the guy who mentions a -40db cracking sound should get another mic of the same brand and model before posting a negative review without actually getting to the heart of the problem.

It's cheap for a reason folks...
When I received this microphone, it sounded great through the monitors and all was fine yesterday. But today I started some recording tests through my PreSonus/Digi 002 but there was a -40db crackling and static sound. I replaced all the cables with no result, then I bypassed the PreSonus and went through the Digi 002 only, but still nothing. Then I ran mic through a portable field mixer thinking it was my sound card and I still got the nasty cra... Show More

Good Quality Good Price
I use this mic for recording individual instruments in a band and also as an audience/ambient mic in theatrical and live sound recording situations. For the price, you can't beat it. Just beware that with the decent price comes average construction and ruggedness. Take care of this mic and it will be fine, drop it a few times and you'll be buying another one!

Corrosion on case and shock mount
I'd give the microphone at least 4 stars because it sounds GREAT, but how can I trust it to last as long as it should when there is corrosion on the case and shock mount (which was inside the case with the mic)?I did not notice it right away. I was anxious to set up my new gear, which I am using for freelance voice over work.I sent an e-mail to B&H, ...

Low price - high quality
Used in home studio recording and sports pa announcing. Excellent quality and value. Nice case for microphone and accessories. Only problem is the windscreen has the egg-crate shape on one of its side from the padding in the case.
