Nice monitor but froze often
Using a 13-inch 2017 macbook pro and the supplied usb-c cable, the monitor would freeze periodically. It would require a power cycle to bring it back to life. Tried changing the resolution to different settings with no help. It even happened on simple things like reading email, not only on photo editing. Ended up returning it, wish it would have worked out.

I like it but....
I like the ASUS Designo MX27 Monitor. I use it with my brand new Apple MacBook Air 13 which has USB c connectivity. That part worked great. I love the design, the quality of the pictures, the general ease of use. Do not like not having a webcam, not being able to adjust volume from my keypad, and a few other things. But much much nicer than what I saw as competing products. I cant believe Apple stopped making monitors. A real slap at customers who were willing to pay for their ridiculously high priced, but excellent products.

DECENT but not OUTSTANDING monitor
AFTER PAYING $550+ I REALLY EXPECTED A BETTER LOOKING PICTURE. WILL SAY THE DISPLAY IS OKAY AT BEST. SPEAKERS SOUND CHEAP.

Alas Not For My Macbook Pro
Mac users beware! This probably isn't the display for you. I wanted to like this monitor but it didn't play well with my 15" MacBook Pro mid-2015 with TB 2/Displayport. Out of all the cables included only the HDMI would connect to my MacBook and it wouldn't scale and just looked bad. The Displayport cable that comes with it has the large connector on both ends. Great looking photo editing monitor
I bought this monitor greater screen space and better color reproduction compared to my old low end Samsung. I haven't had a chance to spend much time on Adobe Lightroom and printing photos so I can' truly speak to the color, but I can tell you it looks great. The small bezel and high resolution is great. I am an amateur photographer and do quite a bit of photo editing. I also on occasion watch sports and movies on my pc as well as do some office work at home. I would buy it again!
I like this monitor. Not disappointed with the purchase. I just wish that ASUS would add height adjustable base to this monitor. Works for me really well but may be too low for some other people. Also, it would be nice if it came in black color as well. Super easy to set-up and easy on eyes for extended use. Overall, very nice.

Whiz Bang Wow - so good, especially for aging eyes
Purchased for new MacBook Pro 13 2017 desktop setup. This ASUS replaces a 23 Cinema Display, now 12 years old. My research into compatibility had me nervous as this is still an emerging area (4k over USB-c). Would icons render too small or too big? Would 4k at 27 be $600 better than what I had? Not currently compatible with 2016 13 MBP
This monitor works great on the 2016 15 Macbook Pro, but on the 13 2016 MBP, which has a different graphics card, the USB-C doesn't work. Confirmed on multiple machines. No screen image and it even crashes the computer. HMDI does work with a dongle, but less than ideal, locked at 30 hz. Hopefully either Apple or Asus releases a firmware update, but for now, each blames the other and owners are SOL.

Works with MacBook pro(2016) 15.
I just plugged in USB-C and it worked. Did not have to do anything. Picture looks great. When MacBook pro comes out of sleep, it works with no issue. Only minor issues:Monitor turns on after you login to macbook. The sound can not be controlled with MacBook, support says MacBook needs to update their software. Sound is controlled easily once you figure its only 2 button pushes. Also, if you are using full 4k, some software tools may appear tiny(photoshop), you may view at 3k(but that's all 4k monitors right now with Macbook)But overall, I really am impressed and picture is great.

Does Not Work with the New 2016 MacBook Pro via USB-C
I bought this monitor to use with my new (2016) 13 MacBook Pro with the monitor's USB-C connection. I wanted a one cable solution to power my laptop, provide the video connection, and give me access to the USB 3 ports on the back of the monitor (like the specs on this monitor claim can be done). Great monitor, but you'll need an adapter to mount it...

Excellent monitor
Clear monitor with vivid colors. I use my monitor mainly for text, and it works beautifully for that -- with one caveat, which is that for small text, it was necessary for me to shut the VividPixel technology off. Maybe that's a matter of taste, but I was very skeptical of the monitor until I turned off that feature with the built-in menus. Apart from that, the monitor provides a clear picture with true-to-life colors and genuine blacks and whites.

We love this monitor
We have 3 pairs of these monitors that have been running in a work environment for 9 months with no issues. Out of the box color and brightness settings have been consistent across all monitors. Cons: screen controls could be better and no VESA mount. Would have given them 4 1/2 stars if I could.

Beautiful Display
I switch from an iMac back to a PC and wanted a display as good as the one on my 27inch iMac. This fills this requirement perfectly. Easy to setup, came with all cables that could be needed. I use this with lightroom and a flight simulation, very happy with the color and performance of this display. The built in speakers are alright in a pinch. I was very happy with the way the display was packaged for shipping, in a separate box.

Awesome Screen for an Apple Mac Mini
I was looking to upgrade my current 24 Dell monitor that I am using with my mac mini and was considering a 4K until I realized that it would only function at 30Hz. That lead me to look at WQHD monitors and my research found this monitor to have the best picture, price, and sound. As good as 4K as far as I am concerned. The only shortcoming was that it does not have additional usb connections, so if this is important than you should consider a different monitor. Overall pleased with the quality of the monitor, shipping was fast and free, and as always it is a pleasure dealing with B&H.

Beautiful monitor
Only ever used a 1080p monitor so I was excited for the upgrade to 1440p. Ordering from B&H website was easy, the price was good, and the shipping was quick (and free!). From the first time I turned it on I was totally satisfied with my purchase. The screen is big, bright, and the colors vibrant. Here's the thing. If you want an IPS monitor with decent refresh rate and looks good, this is it. It does not have deep blacks and there is some some light bleed which you just can't avoid at this price point. once you get this thing adjusted it does have a very vibrant picture. Perfect Screen Size for Multitasking Tasks
I have purchased this monitor to replace my 24 monitor. The product design of this monitor is gorgeous before you ever turn it on a nearly borderless edge. The image quality is amazing as well. I use this for graphic design on a Mac Pro. Had to buy a separate, affordable, cable to run with the Mac. The only downside to this connection is I cannot take advantage of the Asus' B&O speakers.
