Sounds amazing for music or films!
This was my first surround sound package and it really is money well spent, listening to music or blasting films on it, you really get immersed into anything played! Brilliant!

Cinematic Experience
An amazing sound system that has different sound options and is very easy to set up. The interface however is a bit clunky, particularly in understanding how to download the applications needed, but once figured out from the Sony websites, it is very straight forward. The trick is figuring out ideal positioning for the sound system and unfortunately the main drawback for us is that the wires are not as long as we had hoped, and they are sealed into the speakers.

Problem with wires.
Realised before opening that the speakers have fixed wiring with only 2 metre lengths for rear speakers, was told it would invalidate the warranty if they were extended, so returned it with no problems.

Surround Sound
The choice was between a sound bar or surround sound? Already had an older pioneer system that only played DVD's, also did not have optical port. The Sony Cinema system was the best choice, full surround sound and a Blu Ray player! The only things I would improve are: Another HDMI socket, and longer speaker wires (these are hard wired 16 feet long) for going around the room. Good strong sound, advise putting an action film on and taking time too set the speakers properly.

Great sound
Love the that comes from it, the bass is so deep you can still hear it at low volumes. The 5.1 sound effects are quite impressive.

Brilliant speakers
We have recently moved into a home and wanted surround sound speakers for our living room. These speakers come with wires attached, however wires can be extended. Sound is very clear, and speakers are compact therefore doesnt look too big for the room. Would highly recommend

Good sound!
Really good sound, fairly easy to set up once you figure out the speaker settings, and you can get a decent surround sound effect from 2.0 channels also. Needed to extend the wires to reach around the room, but a little solder and some wires weren't that expensive. Makes my console games sound great and makes watching Netflix and other movie services great too. Overall, a great purchase and, for price I couldn't ask for more. Would recommend.

System sounds great!
System was easy to set up and well worth the money to use with my Sony tv! Great affects and is as good as being at the cinema! Haven’t used all the features yet but very impress so far!

Good System
As other reviewers have said, this is a good system but the cables on the rear speakers are only about 6 feet long, ok for a small room but you'll need to modify them for anything bigger.

Ideally suited for a small flat,room
Excellent,well made,good sound quality for all types of sound. I didn’t want to be blown out of my seat with those tower speakers. If you put the correct speaker lead in right socket “colour coded” the rear speaker cable is just enough but you could always extend them but make sure the positive and negative wires are correct and make sure it’s switched off!. Brilliant and great price.

Sony never disappoints
I love this system so much, sounds great in my living room, I went out and bought 70 Blu Ray films just to enjoy the experience more, love that it has night mode.

Nice compact system
Excellent blue ray and dvd reproduction and upscaling with good quality sound. Easy to set up BUT speaker leads too short for medium sized room. Extension lead sets available on market but painfully expensive. The smart part of the system works well but seems very slow functioning. Quality of sound excellent with good surround sound channel separation. Even with the little niggles I feel that the system is an excellent performer would have no problem recommending it.

NICE DVD HOME THEATRE KIT
I would recommend this DVD Blue-Ray to anybody who is looking for a good entertainment system for a good small to medium room as it give out a good sound all round .

Does a good job
This is now an old model but does a decent job. Speakers are cheap looking with thin cables permanently attached to plugs (so warranty immediately voided by splicing cables to rear speakers to get them long enough).... So far seems to play anything that I have plugged into the USB port.so am well impressed with that.

not bad could be better
the surround speakers and soundbar aren't very compatible with the more powerful bass unit which drowns them out making the mid range sound quite lacking altho tweaking the equalizer can help a bit. more suited to movies than serious music but the bluetooth is a very handy tool for streaming from phone or tablets. lots of cables too so.in hind sight would prob opt for a quality bluetooth soundbar and wireless bass unit.
