Was apprehensive at setting this up after reading other reviews, but it all went very smoothly and is much better than my old one. Also there was quite a lot of wire on the surround speakers, so perhaps Sony read reviews as well!

Even a 63 yr old Nan can set it up
Very pleased with how simple it was to set up and the sound is amazing and bonus for me I can play my CDS thro it and the sound is great.

Sound quality really lets this down
Being a SONY product, I must say I expected better. Design is good and also easy to set up. I am just so disappointed with the sound quality - for SONY I expected better. I guess you get what you pay for, this being around £200. My advice would be if your looking for really sharp sound, go elsewhere. This is of average quality. Given the choice again, I would pay more and get a better sounding system.

great sound for the price.
this is the second home theatre i've owned and so far very pleased with it. set up is pretty straight forward but as other reviewers have mentioned the speaker cables are not the longest, so if you cut and join it makes the warranty invalid. on saying that the sound is pretty impressive for the price and well worth the purchase.

Great piece of kit
Fantastic bit of kit. Sound is superb on everything I've had connected. Volume on each speaker can be adjusted using the system settings and you can set the distance of each speaker too. If you have an ARC compatible TV ( One of The HDMI connections on the back of the TV will say ARC on the side) then just plug and play. Everything you watch or play will automatically come through the system. No need for selecting each device connected. Very satisfied customer

Good entry system
This is a great entry level home cinema system. The design is nice and there's a decent enough length on the cables for the average size room. The sound quality is very nice and Crisp too The menu layout could be improved but other than that I can't really fault it.

Perfect system for us
What I like: - The "football" mode when watching a match in HD: it makes you feel as being inside the stadium - easy Bluetooth connection possible with your smartphone or tablet - easy to use system - excellent sound quality

Nice piece of kit
It's Sony, so what more can you say, good build quality with excellent sound. The whole thing was easy to set up,with all the leads having clearly coded plugs. The two criticisms I have are the rear speaker leads are a bit short, but I'd expect that with any home sound system, dependant on your room size and the Bluetooth takes a while to sync up but on the whole, for the price, it's def worth the money.

Love it - but extremely short wiring
The sound quality is very good but nearly had to return it as the wiring is very short, so makes it almost impossible to fit speakers in all 4 corners of a room. We had to change our living room around to be able to use it..and still was not long enough to fit where we wanted .

The sound is amazing
The sound is great once we managed to get set up. The instructions (once you download them) aren't too clear either. Just remember to have an hdmi cable + an optical cable!

Just the job
I bought this more as a bluetooth speaker than a Blue Ray player to that I could sent music from my phone to the speakers! That works perfectly but the bonus was that it also connects to my NAS drive so I can create playlists on the Sony unit. The length of the speaker wires are way too short and not easily extendible. I'll get round to it one day! Connecting to the internet took some time but that seems to be a commonish problem and the answer was on the internet so all sorted now.

Fantastic
I bought this product as an early gift for myself as a to be honest it's the best blu ray home cinema system I've ever had. I would highly recommend this to anybody not only for the quality of features but also the fact that it's just plug and play with very easy to follow set up instructions

Great sound system
Very pleased with this sound system does everything we wanted plus plays some old home recorded videos which we have not been able to watch for years so very pleased all round excellent value for money

Disappointing
After many years of being a fan of Sony this product disappointed. Sound quality muffled and low. Sound often out of sync with picture. Rear speaker leads ridiculously short and Sony help line refuses to offer advice. Would not recommend this product

Very good sound system!
This sound system is great! It has a great sound, with a nice bass to boot. For the price, not having to buy an external amp, I believe it is well worth it. The features are quite nice as well. Only hiccup was the wires were not long enough to get the back speakers to the back wall, which I was easily able to fix. Other than that everything sounds amazing. A huge step up from a lonely sound bar.

Sony home cinema system.
Bought this system as an add-on for TV, since I was unable to hear dialogue properly on my 10 year old set, but this gives a clarity, control and realism from its 6 speakers that is truly mind-blowing. Every word is crystal clear, every sound audible, realism astounding. Easy to set up, physically and on-screen.

My surround sound sound system
I bought this as my old system packed up after a good time I did not want to buy a sound bar as I still want a dvd player to play my art dvds and I did not want to spend a fortune but wanted a good sound and I got it with the sony system I purchased so I have the best of both worlds .

It does what it says on the box.
The system was delivered in very quick time and was well packed , as you would expect from Sony. The setting up instruction were very easy to follow and in no time my system was set up and operating. The quality is excellent for such a small and compact system. I use my system with a Smart Sony TV and so they both work together seamlessly. I would recommend this product, especially for the price.
