Shure SE215 Sound-Isolating Earphones with 3.5mm Remote/Mic Cable (Black)
UPC's:
excellent sound quality and isolation
These are my third pair of Shure 215s. Gave the last pair away. Bought new ones. These earphones provide excellent isolation from outside sound AND great fidelity. The key is to get a good seal in your ear and that can take a bit of experimenting with the wires. Once its right the sound fills out (great bass response and detail) and the outside sounds disappear. I also recommend using the white silicone flange tips, which you may have to buy separately.

Broke off in my ear. Zero response from Shure
The earbud broke off in my ear after 6 uses. These ear buds are flimsy and will not withstand constant use. I emailed Shure about the problem and their lack of response is appalling considering the way it broke off in my ear. Still waiting their response 7 months later.

Excellent sound, but questionable design.
I found that, despite the fantastic sound, these headphones didn't work for me. The plastic element began to hurt my ear after several hours of use, and I found them time consuming to put in. It was difficult to tell which one was Left and which was Right without looking for the L and R every single time. The build quality was top notch, of course, because Shure is a high-quality company. I just felt that the design (at least for my ears) was a bit off. Perhaps they'll be better for you, but put them in before you buy them. I will re-iterate: The sound quality is phenomenal.

Some bumps in the road
I think I am finally getting used to putting the earphones in my ears. It can be complicated. The cable goes over and behind the ears. Good for stage monitoring but not that easy for casual listening, especially when trying to put them on walking down a NYC street. The cable is very coily. It would be nice if the cable was able to rest straighter like Apple headphones and others do. See pic. To the left is my ham sandwich. I have an ongoing iss... Show More

Phenomenal Earbuds
Phenomenal Earbuds. The remote works great. Sound isolation is excellent as I can barely hear people around me. Sound is very clear across the spectrum.

Makes me a believer of B and H
Was helped by a young man who cleared my doubts about the pros and cons of an in ear or ear phone. Shure is a "sure" product. Clarity, isolation and volume worked as mentioned.. am glad I made the decision.

A tad dark sounding
Great Noise isolation. The volume on the mic doesn't work consistently. My second time returning it.

Great quality for the prize.
These IEMs are great quality and inexpensive when compared to others of similar quality. These are built sturdy and have a detachable cord that you can replace when needed. The cord is long enough to comfortably go from my ears to my pants pocket (I'm 5'9) and still have a little slack. The have a strong, but not overpowering bass, the mids sound clear, and the highs are really crisp. These are a great introduction into high quality IEMs.

Excellent sound accuracy
These earbuds reproduce sound quality to the greatest accuracy with no overemphasis on various frequencies. The fit to the ear is excellent and reduces ambient noise to near nil. The fit is also stable and doesn't fall out easily.

Great IEMs
I got this when my black SE215s broke (and i got all the money back due to waranty!) These special editions sound just as good (which is great, as far as i can tell -i'm no audiophile though). Very comfortable and good isolation. I use them for general listening as well as in ear monitors (click track plus monitor feed) with my band, both live and recording. The limited edition is a little more expensive, which kinda sucks, but it looks sick. also the cable is shorter, which is nice! 4.5 stars because its so much more ($ than normal se215s). i can't give 4.5 though so i'll got with 5.

Best IEM out there for the price
I've had these 3-months now and I have to say, Shure has got it right ! You can wear these all day! They take a little extra time to put in...but these are great little buds! The sound is fantastic as they seal out the ambient sounds around you. Super tough too. Do not spend more!

skip it, muddy sound
I wanted to love these; the fit is excellent, the physical quality is great, but with the sound we find our rub. I broke them in over a few days of listening. The sound started out being incredibly bass heavy (as expected) but even out of the box, the mids and highs were slightly muddy. Again, you have to break in earphones, but as they 'broke' the whole range became muddier and muddier. Neither highs nor lows were crisp or clean. Everything was muddled and, in the end, I ended up returning them. I ran multiple types of music through them and nothing sounded good.
