Beautiful ambience with a couple of drawbacks
Absolutely gorgeous tv, especially with the ambilight feature which is less of a gimmick than I thought it would be. 4K video is beautiful on YouTube. I've had trouble with 4K on prime video however, as prime forces you to use HDR and this makes the movies/shows very dark and unsaturated, so I just watch the 1080p versions of content on prime. I haven't tried Netflix unfortunately, due to not having a subscription. On a black screen you can see a bit of light bleed in the TV's backlight.

10/10 Purchase, and not a gimmick
For the price, this TV is great, I don't see why anyone would want to spend more for the bigger brands with the same technology, unless you opt for OLED then, it might make sense to spend more, however the quality of everything from the sound and visuals is brilliant, especially with the Ambilight feature, it might seem like a gimmick but it makes your TV experience a lot more immersive, pair these with a nice sound system and you've got yourself a brilliant entertainment unit. Recommended.

Not great
Picture quality isn’t what I expected given it is a 4K UltraHD tv, was very fuzzy and lacked sharpness on fast moving scenes. Ambient light was good in a dull lit room watching a movie as it added depth to the scene on screen, although couldn’t watch it in a dark room as my eyes felt strained an gave me a headache. I would rate this TV a 5/10 given it does have the apps you would expect currently that are built in, But the picture being the main thing when buying a tv lets in down.

For the price its fantastic
Nice TV and not too expensive. Moved on from a 10 year old Samsung 1080p. Decided no matter how much I spent it was always going to look better. Ambilight is very good. Great for movies in the dark. Not used the sound as I have soundbar. Had a bit of light bleeding which was very distracting. Philip's customer support was awful, argos customer service were excellent and swapped the TV over no problem. New TV is working perfectly, Dolby atmos is great as are the apps

Great TV at a great price
The ambilight technology in the TV is fantastic. It really does enhance the viewing by expanding the colours on the screen beyond edges. I have it connected to the Philips Hue smart lights which further enhance the immersion. The picture is very good for the price. I use a soundbar so don't really know how the speakers of the TV perform but I'm sure are quite adequate. On the whole it was a very good purchase and made viewing a pleasure.

Awesome
This TV is awesome after going from a HDTV to a 4k TV I wouldn't go back noticed the picture quality straight away with the up scaling, also having the edge light up is a realy nice touch especially when the room is dark the only thing that I did have some trouble with was the screen cast from my tablet but once I installed a new cast app it works perfectly now so over all very happy.

Tv is fine- argos let us down.
The tv is absolutely fine itself. But I must warn that if you come across this tv as a deal and get a ‘free’ gift with it, don’t trust that it will be honoured. I was supposed to get a ‘free’ soundbar with this purchase as a deal, and have now learnt to not trust Argos. Won’t be shopping here again and will be telling all friends/family about my experience here.

Great TV
We already owned a 49” version of this Phillips TV so when it came to change we were happy to go up in size but keep all the features we were use to. The look and size of this TV is great, picture quality is stunning and set up was simple. We love the ambient lighting, although it does take a bit of getting use to, however can’t imagine not having it now

European design and quality.
Well this TV has "smart" feature. But it is useless. Applications are limited well store almost empty if you compare with Android TV. Yes it has youtube, rokenTV, iPlayer and some other popular apps. But best part is it has Smart STB app which let you add IPTV. Cinema effect - Ambilight is amazing. I love that thing. Thanks to Philips for this innovation.

Ambilight is amazing
A wonderful 4K TV for the price with some great features. Ambilight is a truly transformative feature and adds immeasurably to the atmosphere when watching TV, movies or playing games. The same specs as the more recent version, albeit without Alexa built in - and yet around £100 cheaper.

Lovely picture/Easy setup
Great TV for the price, ambilight feature is cool, connectivity is quick and easy, the sync on audio was out when set up, fine on freeview/netflix/amazon...but sky digital was behind, quickly sorted by going into sky box settings and changing to normal, instead of dolby.

Purchased this philips tv as my old one started picture flicker. Very happy with my choice, 3 sided ambilight looks fantastic and creates a nice ambience of colour on my living room wall. Superb 4k picture quality and packed with features for a very realistic price!

TV looks great and performs as it should
Loving the rear LED lights on all modes as it gives a more intense viewing, the free sound bar was a bonus and the sound is great. Picture quality on medium setting is awesome. Had it for a month and really chuffed so far.

I thought this may be gimmick with the light and it was amazing! Really enhances the picture and mood of the programme or film Superb picture quality with Dolby Vision and an AppleTV too
