The tv looked great only till I turned it on the picture started to ghost cannot cope with dark scenes turned it self off when i was on Netflix. Frankly the processor that in this tv can't cope with fast moving image's .Now iam waiting for a engineer to come and change the processor. For a 2018 hdr 4k tv that only a week old that's not expecterble will not and would not recommend this tv to my worst enemy. And as for argos it self the staff does not no the meaning of customer service. Discrase

Tv is amazing
After our old Phillips died on us just before black Friday had a quick scan around and found this gem, wanted an upgrade and well couldn't have asked for me, went through the reviews and people complaining about sound, and the need for a sound bar, had this tv a few weeks now and not even needed to look at a sound bar the sound has been fantastic,the picture quality is awesome , was easy to set up within 10 mins it was unboxed setup and been watched, all in all cracking tv would defo reccomend

55"Phillips uhd TV. Good value.
Good value budget TV. Sound is mediocre and the built in apps are poor, which is common for smart devices. Netflix and prime not as good as should be and BBC uhd programs only show in 720 (although it's on the BBC web site as compatible). Added a uhd Roku stick and it's now brilliant and shows how good the display is. If you're not too discerning then the TV's good as is, add decent streaming stick and speakers and it's excellent! Bear in mind it's a 55" screen so any deficiencies show up.

Shame, it’s going back after 14 days.
This TV baffles me...it looks great watching 4K videos through YouTube, looks great on Xbox one until it stutters. When changing the source to my Virgin V6 box, when changing channels the tv lets out a very high pitched noise and then when watching a HD channel your volume is a lot higher than when watching none HD channel,app or Xbox. When in BBC I player, I can’t seem to get out of it without pulling the plug out, the tv doesn’t respond to the remote once you click “exit BBCPlayer”

Excellent TV
This is one of the best TV's i have ever had the picture is unbelievable it's also great for me as I'm disabled i can do everything on this TV i got rid of my now box and my fire stick as you have ever application on this TV it has actually saved me money as i don't need anything else it also gives a preference for my android box and the picture quality is superb the only thing i can't comment on is the audio as i use the philps sound bar optical sounds amazing too. go for this it's A1.

Very nice
Everything about it is great. I have always liked Philips products for reliability. When choosing a tv that had everything I needed at an average to lower price, this tv really appealed to me and I didn't really have any reservations about buying it. Even though I suffer with buyers remorse lol. What if I buy the worst pic, worst sound, motion rate etc. But I'm very happy all round for a nice price. I would recommend without doubt.

My TV died so we rushed out to buy a new one very
Very happy with this it I had a Samsung 3D TV for a out 7 years suddenly just switched off and died We rushed out to get a new one and chose this Philips as they are also an excellent brand We did get the Samsung fixed it took 2 weeks almost and cost 120 to repair but this was also an argos purchase at the time and has been a great TV until it died It's now in the bedroom working perfectly well

Bang for your buck
I have limited budget but I was looking for a TV that would suit the specs I need and this is the perfect combo for it, It has local dimming, HDR10 and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Speaker is descent but most of the people would hook this up anyway on a home theater or sound bar. Best for gaming, it automatically detects hdr signal and picks the right picture settings for you.

nice tv for the price
outstandind picture quality on this phillips tv , Audio out of tv not too impressive but when connected to a good quality sound base or sound bar via optical spdif will take tv and music watching to the next level, nice styling with easy to attach feet makes it easy to set up even for a novice like me, It automatically updates itsself on install and menu system is a joy to use.

Excellent TV
I'm very impressed with this TV. The picture clarity compared to my old 1080p TV is immediately noticeable. Very crisp clear image and the HDR adjusts the brightness very well making dark parts of a show much easier to watch. Sound is very good, bass isn't too bad considering it's such a thin TV. You can't go far wrong with this.

Good quality TV for the price
The only negatives for me is that when changing channels it doesn't say what the program is having to constantly go to the TV guide or guess what it is. Setting up took a while the instructions weren't very clear as older DVD Sound Bar Wii have different colour connections to the TV. Overall very nice product.

Not worth the money
Sound and picture quality was ridiculous. After reading the reviews I decided to go with this tv was expecting something really good. No matter how much I adjusted the settings the pic and sound was just no good I took it back the next day paid a little extra and got the samsung .

Brilliant value for money
Excellent value for money. Doesn't have scart sockets if you have older equipment that you want to use with this tv, so be aware that you may have to update or discard these but the world moves on ! Very pleased with what I got for what I paid though.

Quality Tv
Only thing I can say bad about it is it turns off into sleep mode if u haven't touched it in a bit I've got the sleep mode set as off so don't know why it keeps doing it other than that tv is fantastic

55 inch TV looks good on my wall
Nice looking TV fitted my wall perfectly, the picture is good but I've seen better on some 4k TVs , sound quality is clear but without much bass although my soundbar takes care of that.

Really helpful staff. Couldn't have done more for us. Pretty much plug and play when we got it home. Plugged it in. Switched it on. Connected Virgin box and off we went

Excellent value and great picture quality.

Works and looks great. Only issue is the power cable drops from the right hand side and the connecting wires are on the left so looks a bit messy.

Lovely tv well worth the money
