Disappointed with tv
I bought a Philips tv two years ago and am very pleased with it so when I needed to replace the tv in the conservatory I chose a similar one. However this is not as good, the remote control is very light and flimsy and certainly not as easy to navigate and I have problems navigating between apps and tv, frequently having to switch the set off and start again. It was also difficult to attach the feet. On the plus side the sound is very good. However I would not buy again and would not recommend.

Amazing value - Amblight is a treat!
Replaces a 2007 39" with a wider bezel - it's about the same width (roughly a 3 cube width of an Ikea Kallax). Picture quality is great for the price, sound is OK - a little flat perhaps, but unless you are hardcore it's no issue. Remote isn't all that great for navigating, and the entry level Smart app isn't the best, but I use a Roku anyway. Ambilight may push the price a little but it's a welcome gimmick - making the TV more of a feature, drawing your eye with satisfying ambient hues.

Superb TV with the excellent ambilight
I recently bought this for my parents having purchased a 50" version for myself. They were very impressed with the quality of the picture and although I thought the ambilight would be a bit of a gimmick when I purchased mine, I was really surprised to find how much it enhances the picture. Have no hesitations if you are looking for a quality panel, Philips are superb and I'd buy it again knowing what i know now. Attached photo is in a dark room but shows how the lighting works. :)

Awesome panel, slow system
The picture quality is great for the price and really sold on the Ambilight feature. The installed system is pretty slow and annoying to use, I've put a 4K firestick in mine and use that as the main OS which is much quicker and supports a load more apps as it's an Android based system. If you've not tried ambilight I'd recommend checking it out, after buying this TV I want all the screens I purchase in the future to have this feature, a gimmick I'm quite enjoying and definitely worth it

An exceptional purchase
Was looking for a larger TV. Interested in a Philips Ambilight. Found that a 43 inch model would just fit in the TV space in the lounge. Could not find one to look at anywhere, so took a risk and bought this one from Argos. Process was simple and collection quick and easy. TV set itself up effective. Connects to Internet by WiFi. Picture and sound are exceptional. Thoroughly delighted with it. Ignore the other review about this model. No idea what that person is on about. Irrelevant.

Philip amblilight tv
This is my 3rd Philip's ambilight tv, bought the 1st one 12 years ago and it's still going strong with no problems, 2nd and one 3 years ago again no problems, I wouldnt buy any other tv, the lights have different modes to suit your mood, also can be switch off, cosy dark nights lights up your room, have a disco as the lights go along with the music and lots more, sound good, with or with out soundbar, connecting to the internet and add the apps ect totally recommend

Great Picture Quality
I love this TV, it looks amazing on my extension wall and the ambilight feature is brilliant! The only cons are that the controls feel a bit flimsy and the software doesn’t compare to my LG in the lounge. I did consider swapping it to a Samsung or LG but I couldn’t bring myself to do it as the picture quality of this tv is outstanding!

Love the Ambilight
Very happy with my new TV. Great size and the Ambilight makes it seem even bigger. The ambilight fills the room with colour and I would not go back to a normal TV now. Everyone comments on it. I don't have an aerial and this connects wirelessly to my internet and steams all TV programs and Netflix with no issues!

Remarkable
Changed my 15 year old 32" sony for this one. Great picture,at last I can read the text on my favourite shows. Haven't found anything to critisise yet, although I did have to update the software via a physical network cable before the wifi worked properly. Not bothered about the ambilight so just leave it off.

Great quality picture! Love this TV!
Needed an upgrade from my very old tele and this certainly is an upgrade! Great picture & the sound quality isn't bad either, although I did get a free sound bar when I ordered. I love the ambilight, might not be everyone's cup of tea but there's no need for a lamp when you have it switched on!

For the money you pay this TV has everything. Good picture quality, good sound, ambilight is an amazing feature. Not so fond on the remote, the legs were hard to install and connecting the TV to the internet is not so user friendly. Otherwise had no problems with it so far.

My TV looks great in my flat
The lights on the back of the tv create an atmosphere in the room especially when it’s dark you experience films in a different way with ambient lighting. Picture quality is great and sound quality is great all for a reasonable price!

Great TV
Love this TV. But mine came with a very small scratch. No enough to take it back and it's invisible when the TV is on. Bought the Hue Bloom and Play to link to it. Don't think I could go back to a none ambilight TV.

Great tv
Bought this to replace my heavy Panasonic viera tv. Amazed at how light it is. Great picture and the ambilight really adds another dimension to it. Also better reception than previous tv. Very pleased!

Great lights poor sound
Ambi lights look great and have plenty of different settings. Picture quality is good but the sound is pretty poor so purchased a separate sound bar which obviously adds to the cost but is worth it.

Great Upgrade
This is my 2nd Ambilight TV. The picture quality is great. The added bonus of dolby atmos and 3 sides of LEDs really makes all the difference. I cant imagine watching a TV without ambilight.

Simple To Setup TV
We wanted a new smart TV that had ultra HD. This model proved to be simple to setup & use. Recognised our firestick and we also like the ambient lighting. So no regrets with this choice.

Cannot find the Teletext pages, no picture or sound when you are looking at the programme guide, slow to change channel, other than that OK.

Lovely tv but occasionally turns itself off.
Occasionally turns itself off. Have contacted Philips tech support and reinstalled but did it again today. Will have to ring them again.
