Does The Trick
I used this lens with my Pen 6 for over a year now. It was part of a kit purchased at B&H. Overall, it is a good lens that does its job. I like its light compact size for a short zoom, which is great for street photography. I also use it for my fine art work as well. In fact, I use this lens for the bulk of my shooting with the Pen 6. My only issue with the lens are that I wish it was faster (f/3.5 would do)-especially when working in lower light. Overall, this is a decent lens for the money.

A gem
A great lens for the price. Just got it recently and it's been good so far. Sharp and made my camera more manejable as this lens is low weight and is small in size. I cannot comment much on the durability as I got it a bit over a week ago. It doesn't seem as sturdy as the Pana 14-140mm but it still seems well made. So far very happy with it.

Excelente producto!!
Idea para video, no es un lente muy luminoso para la noche, pero a plena luz del da es excelente. Funciona muy bien.

Great resolution BUT!!!
A three because the lens performed well. Really I bought two of those lenses with E-Pl3 bodies and in less than a year I received Lens error messages. None works on either camera. Luckily I purchased a 40-150 lens. I cannot recommend that lens for durability. Because I have 2 bodies I am wondering if i should purchase another or a fixed focus. I need a lens to cover the wider focal lengths.

Essential
It's lightweight, compact, smooth, comes with basic lens cap--I've got no complaints--seems like a solid lens and the 14-42 mm is nice essential to have. Plus it look great on the Olympus camera, so that's a nice bonus.

Great Lens
This is a great zoom lens that I got with the GH4. The auto focus is pretty quick and reliable. I have found the photos that I have taken with the lens to be very sharp. I think my favorite thing about the lens is the small size. It is so light and portable. I could easily carry this lens around in my pocket. It is always great to have more room in my camera bag.

Well designed and well made
I bought this lens as a companion for the Olymus 40150mm. I use both on my Panasonic GX7. This lens is compact, well made, and operates smoothly. It works physically, electrically and software wise perfectly with the micro 4/3 Lumix camera. In comparison with the Sony 16-50 lens on my Sony a6000, the Olympus 14-42 (on the GX7) isn't messy soft around the edges. The Panasonic prime 20mm that came with the camera is my sharpest lens, but is a fixed... Show More

Good value for money lens
I bought this along with my olympus omd em5 mark ii. For the price, this basic zoom lens covers a nice angle and gives sharp pictures and good colors. Might have been better if this was 12mm-42mm and one stop faster at the long end. Would definitely recommend this as its not expensive and does the job well comparable to other manufacturers kit lens. Some olympus lenses has the lens ring which needs to be unscrewed to use the mount. This one has i... Show More

Great lens value for money
Got this lens along with my olympus em5 mark ii camera. Bundled savings price was $. For that price image quality, AF speed is great. The lens is also light weight. The only issue is olympus dont supply lens hood along with lens like others and lens hood is expensive also. We have to get a third party lens hood in most cases.

Tiny zoom
Very useful as a small zoom lens on an E-P5. Not up to the standards of the 12-40mm f/2.8, but I don't think I would ever use that lens on an E-P5 or similar small camera. Surprisingly high quality for a kit zoom and a great deal with the discounts available when we purchased an E-P5. Uses tiny filters, so they are less expensive.

Pretty decent
I got this lens for $ new. Its not the greatest of the range but for the price i think you do get a good value. I think that olympus should and could improve on these kit lenses though.

Excellent small lens.
I use this lens with my Blackmagic Pocket Camera. I really like the portability. However if you are using it with a Blackmagic Pocket Camera the focal adjustment is sensitive, so be sure the picture is as sharp as it can get.

Good
Got it as kit with the E-PM2. Decent, sharp lens. Not deceived! Also focuses fast and is light. One negative thing, is the cosmetic plastic ring on front, which will fall off very easily. Doesn't look very resistant to falls either, but OK for general use (not safari photography of whatever). What you expect from a kit lens and a little better.

The new R
Got this lens as a part of the kit with the E-PM1. Offers decent performance that any kit lens would offer. Also, I had the very first version of this lens, and I can tell you that there is a marked improvement in the sound of the AF motor. The previous lens' motor would grind while focusing, and this could be heard in any video footage. The lens is plenty sharp, and resolves well to the 12MP M43 sensor. Nice and light, I like the fact that it co... Show More

It's a kit lens
It's a kit lens, light and certainly not overly fast--good for well lit shooting. I would gladly have paid $5-10 for a metal locking ring. The plastic plate does not inspire confidence. I bought my E-P2 with the idea of building a prime lens setup like my old SLR, but it's good to have a short zoom in the bag.
