Hitachi sound bar
I needed a decent sound bar at a reasonable price, and so far, so good ,it’s all working! This is more of ham powerful enough for a living room! Great for gaming too!

Superb value
I looked at similar products by Sony at twice the price but they had drawbacks e.g. too high to put on the TV stand without interfering with TV remote signal, so I opted for the Hitachi having read so many excellent reviews here and it really does live up to them. Setting preferred levels for treble and woofer is a bit fiddly based on a sequence of four coloured lights but you only need to do this once and then forget about it. The sound quality is amazing for the price.

Sound bar. Does exactly what it says.
Easy to set up, the sound quality is better than I expected equal to many more other expensive sound bars. Overall, good value for money.

Great sound system
Great sound , great look, great price! The only downside is sound set up ( hence 4/5 stars) It's set so that if you mute the tele or your tele volume drops to a certain level the sound bar automatically switches off after 10mins. Annoying as you then have to reset the bar to the levels you previously had it at!

Brilliant Sound bar! Excellent sound quality
This sound bar is brilliant. The sound quality is so good I don't have to use the Television sound for anything. It is much better than the previous surround sound I had and fills the room taking up little or no room.

Totally worth it!
First soundbar I’ve bought and it’s totally worth it. Easy to set up but check if your tv has a HDMI port that has ACR written below else it won’t connect to the TV. Bluetooth works great and so does the AUX.

A cracking soundbar!
I connected this soundbar via a digital coax lead. The setup is really easy. The sound quality is absolutely superb. To give it a test I turned it full up on a music channel with loads of base and this soundbar and base speaker handled it with ease. I am very happy with my purchase, it’s well worth the money!

Looks good, easy set up, excellent sound quality.
Excellent sound quality. Design is good, easy to set up. Very easy to use. Turns off if left idle for any length of time not being used. Remote is sturdy and simple to use.

A good improvement on the TV's built-in speakers
This soundbar gives more detailed sound than the TV's built-in speakers and the sub-woofer makes it sound warmer and more full, not too tinny or boomy. I've not turned it up loud but it's comfortable to listen to, and the wireless sub has no trouble connecting (3.5m from the soundbar). I like that it has bass/treble controls, and also the connectivity options though for now I'm using it with an older TV via the 3.5mm jack, and controlling the volume with the TV's remote as normal. Very happy.

Great Sound, but rubbish remote
this is a great purchase, but My problem with it is the really cheap and nasty remote, it is so small that I've lost it a couple of times down the back of the sofa. My suggestion for Hitachi would be to write an app for it if they can't be bothered with providing us with a functional remote. In saying this once setup, the sound from it is great and bluetooth connectivity means that I can steam music to it.

Good budget soundbar
The soundbar is generally good. You need to be careful with the positioning of the Subwoofer to get the best out of it. It does have an annoying trait of switching itself off if it detects no throughput (e.g. flicking through Netflix) and it then needs to be restarted in order - TV first, soundbar and finally smartbox. One thing you should be aware of is the recommended other purchase of a Bush Optical cable...it doesn't fit this model!

Perfect great price
It fits perfect in my main room, the sound is great, the bass is good too, but the controller does feel cheap and takes its time to send a signal, having said that, there is buttons at the end of the sound bar, just the inconvenience of getting up to use them. But it’s a excellent package, and loving using it for console games, and films, and much more, got no regret’s, great for the money.

Improvement to my home
This is my first sound bar & for sure it has enhanced the sound quality of my Hitachi Tv: viewing films either via TVorNetflix app is like you're in a cinema!Music sound is superb on TV or when connected to Bluetooth.I bought the optical cable for connection as advised but the sound had echoing effect. Currently using the Aux cable supplied which has been effective.The only downside is the tiny little remote & you can no longer use ur TV remote4volume

Sound ar and sub
Certainly made a difference to the sound quality of my tv. I would personally prefer to use the sound bar only as I feel that it’s enough but the rest of the family like the effects of the sub woofer. So if you just want to improve the quality of sound to your tv the sound bar would be adequate.
