Clean sound with great depth. Great budget option!
Set up was easy enough and the wireless subwoofer is great for those who hate cables. The soundbar itself is metallic not plastic, which makes it feel and look premium. I connected it to the TV via included HDMI cable into my TVs HDMI 1 (ARC) Slot. All sound from the TV and the connected PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch was routed to the soundbar and the difference was day and night. Clean highs/lows with rich, punchy bass from the subwoofer. I was and am still very impressed considering the price.

Booming
This is a cheap sound bar, but it offers good basic sound and the subwoofer does a great job. No dolby+, but what do you expect for the price? My only complaint is the remote, it is awful, too small and alwful text that can not be seen. That is the only reason I do not give this sound bar 5 stars. .

It delivers great sound for its price
Had this delivered and once opening the box I found everything I required as I am using the Bluetooth mode for my main TV. Very easy to set up if you follow the instructions and the pairing with your device. The sound is very clear and the wireless sub-woofer packs a punch and you can turn the bass down or up with the remote. The only quibble I have is the remote control is hard to see when choosing function or volume etc. Hitachi should have made the icons white than the pale grey they are.

Fab sound, good value
The set-up was easy. Nice design, I've got the wireless subwoofer on the opposite end of the lounge to the TV & soundbar. This produces an excellent effect. Only quibble is, the soundbar so wide, I've had to rearrange / remove ornaments on the TV unit! Well worth the money.

Hitachi Sound Bar
I do like the sound of this sound bar and the sub woofer certainly makes a difference. My only gripe is the remote control is very small and the writing is very hard to read when you are trying to adjust the sound.

Good sound
Great sound...only problem is after standby it won't turn on when you turn your TV on its sits in silence and you have to use the extra little remote.

Sounds good
Very good product and nice sound connection to phone easy via bluetooth TV connected via 3.5 Jack in headphone socket the only thing that annoys me is if no sound for 10mins unit shuts down then when you turn it back on it goes back to default volume so when going through web sites or YouTube you have to keep turning it back on and adjusting the volume

My new sound
I bought this as a present for my dad to enhance his tv’s sound. I already have one so know how good the sound and quality is. My dad is very happy, easy to use and set up.

Value for money
Nice controllable sound well complimented by the sub woofer. Remote controller only works when fairly close to unit. Fairly easy to install. Would still recommend for the money..

Sound Design
Judging audio equipment is very subjective as so much depends on the room' size & accoustics plus our individual hearing capabilities. Unit paired up nicely with my Hitachi tv & transformed its feeble sound output into something of cinema quality with crisp trebles & resonant bass tones. The remote control, of course, was designed for pixies & not sausage-fingered humans. However, for me, this soundbar has proved excellent value for money and "does exactly what it says on the tin"!!

Excellent sound quality
Bought as a gift to use on the main TV in the living room. Had to purchase an extra cable to connect to the games console, but worth it. This sound bar & subwoofer gives a great sound for all our viewing & gaming needs

Cheap sound & quality
Unpacked ours to discover it had already been unpacked by someone else and hastily stuffed back into the box without rewrapping it and returned to store. Probably returned for the same reason we ended up doing - the sound is poor. We used a good thick optical cable to connect to our Sky Q box. Not compatible with Dolby Digital - loud high pitched feedback sounding noise if you try. Sound quality was worse than the TVs built in speakers - indistinct muffled speech & overly bassy. 2/10

Great bit of kit
Really glad I bought this unit. I saw this with a wireless sub woofer which makes a huge difference to the sound quality and the beauty of it is it can be sited anywhere in the room. It paired off easily once it was switched on and the sound quality was really good. The bluetooth facilty is excellent and you can switch the tv off and play music through the soundbar from a smartphone or other device. For the money I think this is a really great addition and would recommend it.

It took a while to realise delay from switch on to sound response. Be patient to allow bass speaker to connect. Otherwise, very pleased WAK
