Great TV
Great TV excellent picture quality and sound. The only thing I would regard as a very small negative is the remote. It’s not flat at the back and can be a bit awkward when holding it and some of the buttons are not well marked, but apart from that it’s an excellent TV, much better than our previous HisenseTV which we exchanged for this one.

Modern and light 50"
50" is a good size tv for the older house living room, leaps and bounds ahead of our old flat screen tv very impressed with the sound quality responsive remote control easy to connect the satellite to via an HD cable no scart connection. No on off switch when not watching it goes to stand-by watching wildlife programnes was a great event too

Overall great TV for value!
I'm very happy with this TV's quality and the price I paid for it. Just one glitch, I couldn't seem to get TV guide information when turning it on from standby. I always had to turn off the wall plug for sometime (sort of hard restart) then the guide info would be back again. Bit annoying, but maybe there's a way... or a button to fix this?

Great picture for the picture
The picture quality is great. Minimalist border so the picture looks full and amazing. Only area of opportunity is the remote... the connectivity is the worst. You could be staying in front of the sensor but unless the right angle and level it does not work. I’m purchase an Apple TV so hopefully that fixes the only negative about the TV

good value for money
The tv in general is fine, good qulity picture, good sound, the desing is good as well The only problem, which is annoying, is the remote control when I watch Netlix and I want to navigate between movies, it won't allow me Maybe, I am doing something wrong or it is software problem I would recommend this tv to everyone with low budget

BARGAIN
I bought this set on" black friday", at a low low price, i am delighted with it, at the price, picture quality is very, very good, but becomes poor at extreme viewing angles, sound quality is excellent, set up is very very easy, and the set is easy to operate. Time will tell on reliability, but as its Hitachi, i expect it will be fine.

It is a good television and meets our needs
This is a good tv that meets our needs but it is advertised as 4K. However nowhere on the box does it say 4K Apparently it should also have some kind of gold sticker on it if it was. We are quite satisfied with the ultra HD and not being technology geeks are pleased with the improvement from our old set and it seems a good price

No regrets purchasing this TV
This TV is definitely worth a buy. I would recommend people to forget about looking elsewhere if they want to purchase an economical and yet high definition tv. The tech specs are very good for linking up to watch my daily tv programs and also for my playstation console for games. Graphics are very clear and satisfying.

TV is good value for money but remote is poor
The TV itself is good value for money, picture and sound quality is great, however the remote control is poor. The remote rarely works on the smart apps built into the TV. The biggest let down for the TV would be that I can’t use my Sky remote to control it as no TV codes I have tried after hours of searching online work.

Very poor quality tv
Very disappointed with this TV. Picture quality is OK as is the sound but the connectivity is very poor. Tootally unusable at times. Took it back to argos and exchanged for a 59 pound dearer tv. What a difference. 100%better every department. I think this TV need to be recalled has other people have had the same problem.

Hitachi 50" TV
For the price this is an excellent TV. Simple to set up and the picture quality is excellent. Nice slim large screen. The price was excellent at Argos. I ordered it in the morning and it was delivered at 7pm that evening. The gentleman who delivered it brought it into my lounge, which was very nice. Very pleased

Great picture on the Television
Great value T.V that sits on the cabinet as I didn't want to mount this T,V on the wall. Very easy to set up for all the many available stations Tried this T.V on a portable aerial to avoid the expense of a new aerial and it works well so may be worth a try if you get one, but we do live near a T.V transmitter.

50 inch Telly! What can I say...........
This television looks great. Would DEFFO recommend updating it soon as because none of the apps work properly til you do. Once up and running picture and sound are good quality. Easy as anything to use. If you looking for a cheap big telly that does all the stuff expensive ones do , then you’ve found it my friend.

My TV is Great
Only downside is unless its connected to main sky incoming box then it May aswell be just HD as that's were the signal picture quality comes from, ours is connected to mini sky box elsewhere so we don't get the quality picture from 4 k ultra HD . But overall a bargain for the price and work ok with alexa app

Good product
Good design, picture quality, value for money Request Apple TV function(showing iPhone/iPad image on TV) Remove or enable to program the paid TV function button on the remote like Netflix. I am not intended to watch paid TV, every time I use the remote, feels like seeing their adverts. So annoys me.

Great TV. Absolute bargain
Bought this on offer at Argos. Ordered online and received free Amazon echo dot also.. ( although Argos did try not to include the echo dot when collecting as it wasn't on the receipt...bit luckily I screenshot the offer ) TV looks great...Nice smart chrome looking stand. Easy remote. Bargain of 2019 !

Fan of Hitachi
I'm a fan of Hitachi television sets and this one has not let me down. I'm an old cbap but even I managed to connect and switch on. Wif Fi and Sky easily achieved and the picture quality seemed to improve during the day and we are very content. As are my two sons who tell me they know about these things.

Very good, could be better though
Had mine about a month and overall it's alright.. The picture and sound quality are very good BUT there has been a slight issue with the TV just going to a black screen when using console's with it and you have to unplug it at the socket and plug it back to get it to work again. Done it about twice now

Excellent Value Smart TV
Easy to set up, great picture and sound quality. Perfect for gaming and 4k video, apps are super responsive and decent browser to boot. Plenty of ports though no SCART so will need a 3 way lead (red white yellow) for older consoles and devices. Not really an issue but worth mentioning. Great product.

Great tv
Only prob is the remote is not good as having to press buttons really hard get close to tv so it responds Had a hitachi before did the the same I thought it was a one off how wrong was I To be fair I can’t fault actual tv But I did some research on line and it seems a common problem with Hitachi

Great TV
I wasn't to sure whether to get this tv incase it was too big and overtook the room. But the tv looks great in the living room and doesn't feel over powering. The sound is good and picture quality is great. Glad I bought it and not the 32in. Kids have enjoyed watching movies on it over the holidays.

Brilliant TV
TV not ARC compliant so when we fitted an additional sound bar we had to connect using the headphone mini jack socket on rear of TV. The only downside of this is that the sound bar automatically switches itself off after a minute or so and has to be turned on again with remote. Otherwise a great TV.

Nice tv at a good price. No problems or major negatives as yet, havent had it long. Remote is a bit flimsy and no scart ports at rear. Two hdmi ports are never enough, with the amount of hardware one wants to connect to a tv! Quality good, sound good and overall design good. Im pleased with it....

Great cheap TV, shame it disconnects so often.
Bought this and is amazing for the price. Shame you have to open each app seperately to look for a programme rather than just search for the film of programme over all apps, and disconnects a few times a week from the WiFi which can be a pain, but generally happy with it and looks more expensive.
