Amazing small TV
The Hitachi 24inch smart tv is great value for the price and is well specified with online content for catch up and the likes of amazon prime for movies, it has useful picture presets and an easy to use menu system. whilst the supplied handbook is very basic the on board tutorial is well laid out and easy to follow and is packed with information to get the best from the tv. The best picture quality is with the main HD tv channels and hdmi input but to be fair standard definition is good.

Very disappointed . The tv could not be viewed .
The tv needs an aerial for it to be fit for purpose and no mention was made on this to prospective customers . The smart tv is not smart after all because it cannot be connected to YouTube , Netflix and other social media platforms . There was no mention made as to the necessity of having a WiFi to get connected to the internet . No mention was also made as to whether the tv can be used as a hotspot for WiFi connection to get connected to the internet via wireless connection from an iPhone .

Generally good but poor Wifi connectivity
The picture quality of the TV was good and sound OK, but its ability to connect via wifi was appalling. You had be almost on top of the router to get any good signal. The Wifi Direct just did not work, it kept dropping connection. The only way to get it to work at all was to use a RJ45 ethernet cable! Took the TV back believing it was faulty and got a refund. Then I went somewhere else and bought a different brand Smart TV, only to find it was just a clone of this TV with the same issues!

Excellent value SMART TV for great price
Bought this for my 16yr old daughter. Really good value, picture and sound is good. Freeview connectivity to all the on demand services (BBC iPlayer, ITV hub, All4, Demand 5& UKTV catchup - for channels like Pick, Dave etc) as well as access to Youtube with dedicated buttons on remote control for Freeview plus and Youtube. 24" tv fits perfectly in her room and looks very smart. Represents amazing value and recommend buying this as I cannot believe this is all available for this price.

OK TV and no connectivity problems
This is a straightforward compact TV which is good value for money. It's about the cheapest smart TV you can get, but it doesn't seem cheap and nasty - everything works, it's a decent picture, and though the sound might not be up to belting out loud music, it is perfectly fine for viewing sport or dramas. Connectivity was simple to set up, and the problems with the ITV Hub that some previous reviews have mentioned seem to have been overcome - that worked seamlessly, as did BBC iPlayer.

Great little budget TV
Bought this to fit an alcove in our new loft room. Connectivity to wireless was simple and has held connection fine. Picture is pretty good, I use Dynamic mode with a couple of brightness tweaks to get a nice rich colour. Sound is ok, for this size and price of TV more than adequate. Nice to have Amazon and Netflix buttons on remote. Does exactly what i wanted and more than delivers for the price. Note that it seems Sky remote will not pair with TV. Just use TV remote for on & off.

Excellent purchase
Got this television to replace a tv in my kitchen that wasn’t a smart tv. As we spend a lot of time in there preparing meals and eating it’s handy for my kids to have something to watch occasionally. My other tv is a smart tv and wouldn’t be without it. Not too big or too small. Really good picture quality and the sound is absolutely fine. Not too loud or quiet on the usual setting of between 10-20. Better than my toshiba smart tv. I would recommend to anyone.

looks good
I only purchased this tv on 16/12/18 so haven’t had it long enough to make an extensive review but up to now I really love it. It’s neat and fits perfectly in my bedroom. The only criticism I have of it so far is that the sleep timer is not on the remote so you have to perform a few actions to activate the sleep timer on the tv which is a bit of a pain as you have to come out of something you’re watching to actually activate it. Apart from that it’s great!!!

Ok
I have purchased this tv because my old one was old and dirty so I wanted to upgrade to a new tv which i had it for like 4 years for my bedroom when I received it it was so easy to set up but for me the picture quality isn't that good the remote control looks ugly I phoned argos customer service and asked for collection for return they told me on the phone it's been used they won't take it. I only had it for like 4 days.

works well with good wifi connection
Very Happy with this set so far. The main issue is connecting to the wifi this can be a little tricky due to there being slight conflict between the manual instructions and those shown on the tv screen. As usual it just takes a little patience an trial & error. you are required to enter a code via the handset when wifi connected but it doesn't show the pin you enter just characters so be careful to enter the correct code

Perfect bedroom tv
Exactly what I wanted for my room, it’s a good size and the screen quality is very good - game graphics and tv shows hold up well. It’s very easy to set up and comes with all the smart tv apps you need. The sound quality is a bit tinny but it’s not quiet and you could always connect the tv up to speakers if needed. Overall I’d say it’s a very good TV and I like the design and features.

Great for a bedroom or study
This was an extra TV for a bedroom, I usually buy Samsung but Argos did not have one at this size or less. The Smart TV was my deciding factor, however my other Samsung TV has a Smart TV app suite that has much more apps to choose from i.e Amazon Prime. A little disapointed as I have a subscription to Amazon and not interested in switching to the offered Netflix. Otherwise no complaints, great TV.

Easy set up
Purchased as replacement tv for kitchen, my previous tv, of another famous make, gave up after only 14 months and was much more expensive. Picture quality and sound not as good as previous tv but as it's for my kitchen it's fine. Really purchased because as a smart tv can catch up on my viewing whilst preparing meals. Very easy to set up, had it working within 5 minutes of it being delivered.

Quick click and delivery of my new TV,
Really quick online click and delivery in short time. Set up quickly and tv was far better than I had imagined. Great product which gives a whole lot more viewing than expected. Very pleased with this lovely looking designed TV and all its smart features. Argos is like having a best friend extremely reliable, and there when you need it with quick click and delivery times. Had A Mind Of Its Own
Easy setup with good picture. Problem was it intermittently turned itself off then back on again. Returned the TV for a sraight swap of the same model. Same thing happened with second TV. Tried different aerials and sockets in different rooms all with same result. Assumed bad PSU's in batch of TVs. Returned TV and this time swapped for different brand at same price. Now all looking good.

Really pleased with my new TV
I,purchased a larger Hitachi TV from Argos a couple of months ago, I was really pleased with how easy it was to set up, I also liked the look of it so decided to purchase the same TV smaller, for another room, I love them both and also being smart TV’s they give me other options such as I players, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. I would definitely recommend these TVs to a friend.

negative issues
I’ve lost the ‘menu’. Saying information not available. Also when I’ve tried to watch iplayer & other ‘catch up’ facilities, constantly freezing & buffering & sound crackling. Will be calling the helpline tonight but may be taking it back to Argos. So disappointed. There was actually nothing wrong with my previous one but I wanted’Smart’

Nice Inexpensive TV
Good picture quality and connected easily. If you’re setting up a Sky Q box the manufacturer is Vestel when you sync the remote! Very pleased with the TV overall, the sound isn’t great as always with small flat tv’s, but it works well with a small sound bar. Can’t fault the TV really, great price and picture and exactly right for a small space.

Picture Perfect
Awesome smart tv, slim design, easy set up, and WiFi enabled. This Toshiba tv is a little gem at the price, perfect as a spare tv in the bedroom, conservatory, or even a living room. Fabulous design and easy use remote control, easy to set up, and connect to WiFi. Picture quality is crisp and clear, and excellent sound quality. Highly recommend 5*****

Good choice
After 9years our Hitachi finally had problems coming on so after owning it for all that time hassle free we wanted another,very good design,easy to set up,i didnt even use the manual.the sound is slightly different to our previous one but its still good.this is 2inch smaller than our old one but we haven't noticed the difference. Would recommend

massive fault with this tv
The TV was easy to set up initially, good clear picture and quality sound, but the major problem is that you cannot connect to the ITV hub player..When I contacted the help desk they said it was a known fault, they said it would be corrected with an update but did not know when.If it is not updated by next week it will be returned to Argos

Not bad value at all.
The sound quality isn't great, the installation instructions omit key information resulting in a technical help call that was handled well, and the analogue rf input channel can suffer from electrical or radio interference from external sources. That said, after just a couple of weeks light use, we're generally quite pleased with it.

This tv does the job .
This tv does the job in the kitchen / dining area though the sound is a bit ‘tinny’ . It was easy to set up though we were surprised to see that it didn’t have a scart socket which was a minor problem when connecting to the sky box. Picture quality is good and it’s low stand is a bonus as it fits well in the space available.

Initially appeared to be good value
I was delighted until I discovered that the ITV Hub did not work. This is a known fault and it took an hour on the phone and the dispatch of a USB stick with a software update to get it working. Hitachi I am disappointed that you are selling a product that does not have the functionality advertised without significant intervention.
