Google Nest Hub - Chalk
A great google assistant for the home you can see
I’ve been a google home user for a while now with a few minis and the hub has really slotted in well as the ‘bring it all together’ device. Situated in the living room, the google home hub helps to manage all my smart home automations with the lights and thermostats etc. The screen is the real killer though that makes this a great product. It’s not huge but is visible from everywhere in the room. Things like getting the morning news are so much more enhanced by being able to see the content.

Nice little bit of kit
Being a Google user, having the Nest & Smoke/CO2 detector, this was the next google item I wanted. I have an Alexa, and while that was ok it failed in a lot of places where the Google Home Hub picks up. It answers quickly, streams your own photo's, streams videos, and you can control multiple google products from the same place. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, with or without any other google products. Small, out of the way, but you know its there. ps. The sound is good too

Great addition to the family...
We already had Google Home Mini speakers before we got the Home Hub, so we were used to the Google 'environment '. The screen is really good with no pixelation. The sound quality is ok, but don't expect Sonos quality levels. Response to voice is great in most circumstances. It's the simplicity where the Hub excels - connect via the Google Home app (not so good) and it can be used within a few minutes for weather, traffic, YouTube, Now TV, timers, recipes, music, radio, etc, etc. I want another!

Works perfectly in all ways
I've had this product for a couple of weeks now and got it because I wanted to upgrade from Amazon Alexa. It has replaced my alarm clock and works brilliantly with my Philips hue lights even giving me recommend colours to make the light. The sound is loud and it can hear you quite clearly whilst music is playing. My only grudge is that the bezels could be smaller and that a usb port could be added to allow you to charge your phone at night. But this is a great product and I recommend it to all.

Brilliant technology, and cheap for what you get
Brilliant technology. The responsiveness is better than the speaker only solution and the screen is really useful. Very easy to use. Just speak. I walked into Argos and picked one up in two minutes, setting it up quickly at home. Google have an online customer service chat system to talk to an expert, should you have configuration difficulties. Much better than Alexa devices, not least because voices are better. You can configure with either an Android phone or an iPhone, so it's very flexible.

Google home is clever but not quite smart
I have found the Google hub to be a good purchase with its nice simplistic design that will fit In to most rooms and it's ability to understand my voice commands and awnser most questions I throw at it. Having said that adding additional smart bulbs after linking a account (hive for example) can be frustrating. The sound is ok for the size, for radio or cooking instructions. I have found it usefull to have the display for various tasks such as maps, videos and step by step cooking instructions.

Hey Google you're great
Bought this for my son & he loves it. Its really easy to set up and use and looks the part as well. Glad we chose this instead of the nest as having the colour screen display is great as a photo frame once you sync it to your Google photos and also for playing YouTube videos. The sound is quite good too whether you ask it to tune to a radio station or play music from your Spotify account. Having also used Alexa previously I think I prefer this but longterm who knows as the novelty may wear off.

Fab
I had the previous generation of the google home hub and it's well worth the upgrade to get the screen. The best uses for it are 1. as an easy to use digital photo frame - I gave this one to my parents and it's in their kitchen. I can update the linked google photos account with recent family photos and it updates their home hub photos automatically. 2. daily organiser - saying "ok google - good morning" will start the morning routine 3. playing music. "ok google - play christmas carols"

The best virtual assistant
Having used both Alexa (Echos, Dots & Spots) & the Google assistants, I am now convinced Google's version is much better. Sure, Alexa controls my Hue Lights & Harmony Remote but the difference is that Google understands commands 1st time, every time whereas Alexa doesn't! I have linked Nest, Phillips Hue, Logitech Harmony via both but it's Google I ask to run them. My only gripe is that Ring Doorbell doesn't link as it's owned by Amazon so that's via Alexa but other than that it's perfect.

Great gadget
We recently purchased a Google Nest Hub in Chalk. It's an amazing little invention with a touch screen which is worth the extra spend. You can speak to the Google Nest Hub and ask it to play music which is does via YouTube or you can request a radio station! If you're after a recipe just ask the Nest Hub to show you some recipes. It can be connected to other bits of technology around your house. We've connected ours to our light bulbs and our Christmas Tree! "Hey Google! Switch on Christmas"!

Item you must have!
My adventure started with Google mini it was so nice and fun so we decided to go for a main unit Home Hub. We convert our house to be a smart one, bought a Hue lights bulbs which you voice control via google home. Next was a entry door with camera all nicely connected to our Google home. My kids for all kind a stories even helping them with a school home work. Simply ask your assistant and in couple seconds you have an answer without touching your computer keyboard Simple amazing gadget.

Easy to use, great in my kitchen!
We already had google home and several Hive smart devices and this has been a great addition. I can see what smart devices are active and control them.. I can set multiple timers and reminders, add events to my personal diary and items to a shopping list - which I can then view on my Android smartphone.. I can ask for recipes or cookery tips, the weather ... in short, I love it. My only criticism is that I would like to have been able to wall mount it, but this doesn't seem to be possible.

Great for appointments reminders
Bought this for my Mum to help her keep track of her appointments. It's easy to set up and add her appointments using a calendar via a tablet or by telling Google directly you wish to add. Only slight disappointment was that the display on the home screen doesn't have the option to have the date, time and list of any appts that day so that everything is clear at a glance. This option is available on the echo show. I'll feed this back to Google and you never know it may appear via an update.

Great little Device
The Google Nest is well designed from the inside out, looks great pretty much anywhere you decide its home should be, in the bedroom it makes a great alarm clock and media hub and in the kitchen it makes a great assistant when cooking or a music player if you are doing the dishes. The audio is great for a device its size, ample bass and treble. The screen although quite small is very responsive and the ability to watch youtube on it is great. And its google so it connects to everything.

Great home assistant.
This was my first Google home assistant. The screen is perfect, for me, to use in the kitchen when watching Sky news, YouTube blogs etc. You'll need a Google account first and the Google home app to set some of your requirements. For example the weather, journey to work, Play music and Spotify. I have linked my Philips hue bulbs to Google home app so that I can control them by voice. The screen is a quality bonus. You can Chromecast BBCiPlayer etc to it. I'm still learning. Great.

The most Powerful digital assistant gets visual
The Google Home Hub offers the most intelligent assistant with excitement visual feedback. On top of answering many general knowledge questions that it's cheaper brother (the Google Home Mini) can do, this can also cast content such as movies and films to the display. Sadly Netflix is unsupported, but Now TV, Google Play Movies, Flixster, Rakuten TV and catch up players are all flawless. YouTube too. Audio quality is a major upgrade on top of the smaller Google Home Mini as well.

Beginnings of a Smart Home
Was looking to replace my google home mini with a more advanced central hub for my smart home set up. This does everything the home mini, but with a fantastic display and better speaker. With the use of daily routines, it shows my calendar, weather, news reports and traffic to work on its display. This is a great next step in improving your smart home, so highly recommend to anyone! And also it is a fantastic digital photo frame showing all my pictures on my google account.

Alright Google
Great bit of kit. Installed google home on a device and set it up, it then finds all of your smart devices etc. Only issue is that you cannot change the "OK Google" command like you can on Android devices so the kids are now playing their music, changing the light bulb colours and turning the thermostat down. Thought this would be a white elephant and didn't take any extra warranty as assumed it would be back in the box after a few months, but this is a "smart" piece of kit

Love it
I have the mini and the home so got this as an upgrade to my existing setup. The screen clarity is excellent, it has good touch sensitivity and the sound quality is better than expected. I use this as my primary music and information source and could not be happier. It looks good and will fit in with any home. Is easy to setup and can be customized quite a bit as well with for example it using your photos as a slide show. I would highly recommend this.

Excellent but not without flaws.
Will certainly improve with updates. One really irritating flaw at the moment is that you cannot select UK English at all (available on your other Assistant speakers) or 'follow on' conversation (available on other speaker ONLY when US English is used). Irritating! This device compliments the Nest Doorbell perfectly - which was the prime reason for buying it. Unlike Alexa speakers there is no iCloud Calendar integration which is a pain.

It's Brilliant!
I have had this brilliant little Home Hub for a fortnight and can't fault it. It was very easy to set up in my kitchen. It plays my Spotify playlists and the sound is excellent. It finds and plays any radio station; gives me recipes as required and the size of the screen, and the angle, is just right for following a recipe easily. I am still exploring its full potential but (as long as it keeps working!) I am very happy with it.

Accurate voice recognition
Voice recognition is very accurate no matter how quick I speak or tired I sound. Sometimes the function I want to perform doesn't quick work because it is not yet built in but it is improving all the time. It's nice to use as a digital photoframe so I can finally see all those photos stuck in the cloud rarely getting viewed. I think I would be prepared to give it 5 stars in the future once a few more refinements are added.

Complicated & Fiddly Setup
Some might have a good experience but I found the setup of this very complex. Allowing access to your google account, changing settings here and there etc. (Just to get slideshow working) Not compatible with Google Business accounts and having to downloading 2 separate apps just to configure. Amazon Alexa is much better in terms of setup and ease IMHO. the only reason I went for this vs the Echo Show was price.

Can't play Netflix
The Google Home Hub is an excellent example of smart display thanks to its affordable price tag, compact and elegant design and the ability to interact with the Google Assistant with visual elements. There are a number of small quibbles we have, though, and using the Hub can be quite frustrating at times. It's usefulness will also depend on things like what other smart home devices you have around the house.
