Excellent Google product
Google home is an excellent personal assistant providing easy access to much information-telling jokes,playing music etc by just asking -it also in development with more roles it can under take to come. Sound is excellent and the microphone sounds picks up your voice even from upstairs. We also have it linked to our chromecast tv so it can play your favorite video just by asking.

So much punch for a little one
I got this for my wife's birthday and she loves it. She didn't realise how much fun it was. First thing we did once it was set up was get it to sing Happy Birthday to my wife which both made us laugh. Its really smart and understand most commands, I was that impressed by it I decided to by the Google max for the living room and have this in the bedroom. Would totally recommend.

Google home answers your questions mostly
Straight out the box easy to set up providing you have got Google home app on your phone. Link it to you Google account and away you go. You may have to program it in to your voice but the guided set up does that for you. Does want it says on the tin for the most part. Some times are get "I'm still learning so I can't answer that" just about changing the way you ask questions.

Sounded like a tin can.
The google home was great to set up, easy and quick just like our google mini. However when we went to play music on it the sound quality just wasn’t there, as said in the title it sounded like it was playing in a tin can. I was really disappointed because that was the main reason we upgraded to a home to play music though out our home. Will definitely be returning item.

Best smart home gadget!
I have a few smart home products and I'm quite obsessed! This is at the top of the list! I did use to have Alexa - but i thought ill try this out! Its great. I have got rid of both my Alexas and just about to buy another Google Home instead. It sounds much more human like, gives better responses and the sound is really good. Don't buy this, buy Alexa. So much better!

Dosen't get "Hey/OK Google" easily
We need to repeat the activation voice command (Hey/OK Google) several times to get the device attention. Although we're non-native English speakers, I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to train it with more diverse accents (at least for the activation voice command). Otherwise, it's, beautiful, smart and fast. Speakers are loud enough and the sound quality is good.

Loving Google Home
Bought two for Xmas presents.....recipients highly delighted. We had fun finding out all that can be done and both families will find loads of uses for it on an ongoing basis. So easy to set up and so accurate and fast with responses and following instructions. All are putting some accessories on their wish lists for birthdays......IF they can wait that long !

Very useful and great fun!
We bought this to act as both a smart speak for Spotify and to answer questions, set schedules etc. The kids love the interactive games and asking random questions like "what does a gorilla sound like". Connection is very straight forward and you can control it from multiple devices and accounts. The sound quality for music is very good as a living room speaker.

Great device
Great device to play with and help arrange your life. Love the fact using a chromecast i can stream movies and pics to my TV through my voice.The sound when playing music is of a good quality my only gripe would be the trouble you have to go to to find out all the commands. there is a forum to help however a spread sheet download etc would be much better.

Great addition to our home
Great product so useful to just shout out what you need to know and have it talk back the answer. Music played through its speakers is of a really good quality. Voice recognition is great for the person whose account it is, but can be a bit iffy with others. Also when talking to it you must word your request in a certain way or it sometimes won't understand.

Great speaker
I love being able to ask it "whats the weather" or for the latest news. I ask it to "play Radio 4" and it does! By using the google music manager on my laptop (free download) I can upload my favourite tracks to my google music space, and create a playlist which I can ask it to play (there is a subscription service for Google music , but I'm not on that).

Google hasn't disappointed me
A very good product and works just how I expected to. I would highly recommend this. But be aware....without anything else to connect this to, it will do much the same as your Android phone. It's real benefits come from 'talking' to other things. I would recommend the TPlink WiFi Mains plugs. That was you can control whatever is plugged into them. Enjoy.

Stresfull
Spent three days on my own and one finally one afternoon with google customer support to try and resolve the issue with google home and reminders but unable to resolve the issue. Will return as google support cannot understand either the issue or are able to resolve it. What good is a device that cannot remind you to do something when you set it up to.

Sleek and discreet
At the moment a lot of good features haven't made it into the UK but it's definitely still got a lot to offer from just using as a timer when I'm cooking or checking the weather on the way out the door. It's also got a great speaker and if you have spotify or any other compatible music service makes it great when you have people round for a few drinks.

Google Home is Very Smart
Have had this for 2 weeks now. I have linked my Google Home with Google Play Music (on 4 months' free trial until I work out if I want to make this permanent), Amazon Prime Music via my Android phone (already a Prime subscriber) and have added just one tp-link smart light bulbto try so far. Everything works exactly as I had hoped. Excellent product.

home is better than echo
ive had the echo big one for a while, decided why not have both, they have different functions, home can be better but if it fails etc to switch on tv. i ask the echo instead. ally tell harmony to turn on tv command. it usually works.home can recall stuff previously said to hold a conversation , allexy can not.,the home is the better bet i think.

Chatty bot
The Google Home is a great little gadget, once you get to know it. It always has a cheery 'good morning' for you, and when I requested it to play me some Northern Soul music it quickly obliged. You may have to sign up to Google play to get the music variety though. But mine came with 3 months free subscription. Great device, and highly recommended!

Are Me Sad
This is my 9th Google Home device from Minis to Max's. Unfortunately, and maybe just the timing of a bad update, the synchronisation between speakers is broken. When paired with another Home speaker which was the point of purchase, the sound is all over the place, sometimes syncing and often not. Will be happy to update review if this is sorted out.

This was a great purchase
This purchased was the best Christmas present. It was very easy to setup which considering we only get 7mbs broadband this was a surprise. But successful it was. And another surprise the sound quality was fantastic. It even goes quieter at the late hours so it wont wake the kids. Im still learning and it looks like it will take a while. I love it.

Great little device, but just a little too much ba
Great gadget but just a little bit too much bass, even after adjusting it on the App and also you need to phrase things right to get it to respond correctly, eg Saying "Stream LBC radio" won't work but " Stream LBC London " will work. Bluetooth great and sound is good. It has gone off line a few times,but got it back on with the Google Home App.

The voice recognition is impressive
The ability to understand what you say is impressive and the sound quality is good for the size. As at Dec 2017 it lags behind Amazon in some integration areas but benefits from having the power of Google search. If Google continue to develop the system and provide integration with Google docs then I will be happy that I made the right choice.

Hey Google
Google Home is so cool! It's super easy to set up, super easy to use and is way more useful than I thought it was going to be. There is still a lot for Google Home to learn, so it's not a perfect product just yet, but there are new capabilities being added all the time. You can also say "Hey Google" instead of "OK Google" which is good.

Excellent Christmas gift
I gave this to my son for Christmas - the last one left in the South East it seems!! I reserved it at Newhaven branch and picked it up the following day. He is really pleased with it and has put it in his kitchen so now has music in every room of his flat. He is a connoisseur of music quality and says it is excellent! Praise indeed.
