Google Home Speaker
Very impressed with the sound quality, fairly easy to get connected , we use it every day and are still learning about all of it's great features, easy to use and looks great in the home, looking forward getting it to make phone calls and control lighting and the heating and hopefully many other things in the home, I'll probably be buying a Google Mini for the bedroom and linking it in with the Google Home.

Modern living like this is a joy
Bought this to get rid of my CD player & two big speakers to make space in the home. CD collection is now old-hat. This hub provides all the entertainment I need - and I love listening to worldwide radio stations over the web - it makes FM & DAB old-fashioned! I love the space that's been cleared by not having cumbersome kit - this hub frees up space. Excellent product, easy to set up & operate. It's a joy.

A real conversation starter
I presume we are like many family and have lots of questions for google? Well this is perfect, also very good for proving your husband wrong. You can't be to complex with your questioning but it will answer most questions with decent answers: we especially love the music aspect, we have been able to listen to songs from the past very easily, really good conversation starter for the family and our friends!

Great fun
Great fun over Christmas, wanted this for streaming music around the house but frustrating that had to go buy a chrome cast too. Easy enough to set up but it did has issues recognising my dad’s voice on ‘hey google’ so he got a little annoyed! Good fun though, great for tech savvy and students. Don’t buy if your an iPhone user, ideally you need to be android to get the best out of this!

Brilliant interactive speaker
Reserved online and received a confirmation by text. Went into my local At his to collect it. Being as it was Christmas the store was very very busy. So I walked out and went and done some shopping then called back a few hours later. At this stage the store was a lot quieter and I was walking out with my purchase about 2 minutes later. Very Easy to use and saved lots of time and frustration. Recommended.

GOOGLE SPEAKS WHEN SPOKEN TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have wanted one of these for a while now and when the price was reduced just before the Bank Holiday I decided to get one. Also I used some of my Nectar Points towards the cost in Argos. So far I am very pleased with it and it is handy to get snippets of information quickly. It doesn't seem to know everything but as a novelty item and with a group of people could provide a few hours of entertainment.

Fab Google assistant
Simple to connect and lots of fun! The adults and kids found it very easy to say "OK Google..." And ask it to play the radio, add items to the shopping list (the kids added lots of chocolate!) or find out whether the takeaway was open that evening! My clever husband has connected it to our lights at home using 'if this then that' so we can now say "OK Google switch on the lights in the living room".

Brilliant item
OK not one of life's necessities but brilliant all the same. So easy to set up plug it in download the app and away you go. Touch controls all located in the top are easy to operate with the vocals being very easy to understand and the sound quality when playing music is excellent. Obviously being voice controlled you are free to do other things around the home. Well deserving of my five star rating.

Love this little thing
This is cool. This thing plays music, radio stations, any song request I give it (Have google play subscription). I have Lifx lights connected and it controls them just by asking. If you have the chrome cast you can also tell it to play youtube videos on the TV as well as Radio and Music. We use it to play games help with homework and just get general day to day info just by asking it. - Love it

Will buy again in a year or so
I am going to give it back to the shop. I will give it 3/5 for functionality. The reasons are as below: 1. When playing louder music, the microphone does not catch my voice, and so I end up screaming Ok Google 4, 5 times 2. Cannot play Deezer via voice control. 3. Cannot read emails from Gmail. 4. Cannot set up meetings and reminders on Google calendar, though can read meetings (not reminders).

Easy to set up and fun to use
Easy to set up within minutes through an app on the iPad which takes you through step by step. Easy to use for my Dad who is losing the dexterity in his hands and fingers and struggles to use the tv controls or to play the music he enjoys listening to. Now he can just ask Google to do it for him. The only down side is if I’m in another room I don’t always know if he’s calling to me or Google!

Google centric smart speaker
A nice looking and very functional smart speaker from Google that regularly updates its software automatically to provide new features. Admittedly it is more limited in functionality at the moment, but the voice recognition is excellent as is the quality of the speaker. Unsurprisingly works seamlessly with Google services and chromecast. You are definitely buying a product that is for the future.

Not as good as echo just yet
Google is a very good piece of kit if you are just asking it questions. However where it falls short at the moment is that you are unable to link your google calendar with it! What is more embarrassing for google is Amazon echo does allow you to link your calendar to their device but google can't do this even though it the calendar app is made by them! Amazon is way ahead at this point overall.

Very poor at the moment
Pro's Cheaper than Echo (although the Echo dot is half the price) Sound quality is good Like the design. Interacts ok with Philips hue Cons Poor Google integration Although it has contextual conversation , you still have to say "ok Google" before each question. Expensive for multi room, echo much cheaper. Like a lot of Google things, some functions are USA only, surprise surprise!

Grand device
I have enjoyed using the Google home. Really good for linking music, creating reminders, setting my calendar, being my alarm and a timer. The issues I have with it isn't a hardware thing. It's all software which will come in time with how frequently it is updated. Such as playing YouTube playlist but audio only, right now it will only do that through YouTube music which is a tad limited.

Awesome gadget
Great gadget for entertaining and knowledge finding. So easy to install and use. Once you start using Google home and have other products linked as well as streaming then you really get to understand the power of this product. Speakers are good but please don't expect state of the art sound, they give good sound of you okay with the settings, out of the box is to bass orientated.

Google Home for every home
Easy to purchase and set up at home. Simple to operate and great at finding the tunes you want to play when you want them played. also terrific for recipes and will literally take you step by step through them - all you have to do is tell google "next step". Once you have overcome the weirdness of saying out loud "Hey Google" to activate you are on your way to improved listening - Enjoy

Great!
Bought as a gift for my daughter - the whole family love it. Useful and fun! Easy to set up and really appreciated the helpline number emailed from Argos, but didn't need to use it. Highly recommend- friends with the alternative on the market have said how much better the Googe Home is, so if you are in doubt as to which to buy, I definitely recommend this one! Great service from Argos.

Brilliant gadget!,
My daughter bought one first and I knew that this would be useful in our home. It was very easy to connect and use. We have only had it a week and already is invaluable, the whole family use it, not just for music, but it answers those questions you think of like “I wonder how old that actor is” and things that you would normally look up on Google. It is a lot of fun and very useful.

The cherry on the cake
If you have any smart-home appliances, Chromecast, Spotify and Netflix accounts - the Home will make using each one of these an amazing and effortless experience. If you don't have any (or only have a few) then there's little that the Home will actually do for you. For us, Home elevated the smart-home from being a gimmick to being a genuinely useful ecosystem. "OK Google - Goodnight"

Asked it to play music & it even 1930s music which I prefer plus Blues. Another bonus is doing crosswords, tell it the crossword clue & it gives you the answer.I was also given Chromecast (£30.00) for free. Once you connect your phone to Google Home & Chromecast download the app. It allows you to watch items off youtube and other items on your TV.via HDMI. It is absolutely brilliant.

Fantastic addition to the home
This is a great little device that seamlessly integrated into my home with WiFi, Android TVs, Nexus Player, Chromecasts etc. Quick and easy to set up, audio quality is excellent despite the small size of the speaker and the responses are spot on with more features to come, including support for multiple Google accounts. The best is yet to come but happy to recommend this device now.

Google home assistant does exactly has it says.
The product assists with shopping lists spelling explaining the meaning of words etc..and also contains a few secret personalities which are not mentioned anywhere else. there's plenty of room for upgrading this clever little device and the more you need, the more surprising features you can find... no complaints... it's a very impressive information access tool for a Modern Family.

handy and helpful device for today's busy life
* looks stylish and have option of buying colourful mesh * pick-ups command very quickly (mostly instantaneous) * design is attractive * power cable is long enough * helps for many small/quick search like weather, location info etc. * sound is okay but could have been better * needs bit of learning sometimes but it is very fun (my little prince could use it - it is so easy)
