Digitizing old cassette tapes. High quality sound transfer to my computer. Works as advertised. The $30 price is just right.

Great Little Device
I bought this to record from analog devices to a Laptop or PC and it does a great job. So far Ive used it to rip a bunch of Vinyl and the sound quality is great. There were no drivers required in Windows 10 and in Audacity the setup was easy. Definitely worth the price.

Decent quality, but high latency. Forget this for your DAW.
I wanted a low latency Toslink output for my DAW PC. I though this would offer High quality input and fiber optic output. It accomplishes that well, however, the latency on the optical output is excessive. I haven't tested to see if this is specific to the optical output. I just know that playing live is nearly impossible due to the lag. The built in sound card in the PC has no noticeable latency, but no optical out, and poor analog quality. I guess I'll keep looking for a PCIe card to do the trick.

Great Little USB Audio Box
Does just what I needed, line in and out audio! The sound is very good and clean both on play back and record.

Works great, I would buy again.
I use this to feed audio from an older Macbook Pro laptop that is having a second life as a video server at home. I'm using the U-Control to provide an audio feed to my AV receiver because the laptop doesn't have HDMI out, only DVI. Works perfectly. No drivers needed on the MAC running 10.11.6. I was a little worried about lip synch but no problems there either. Bus powered helps keep wires under control too.

Works exactly as expected
I use this product as an external sound card. It sounds much better than the internal one I have in my laptop but only outputs in 16 bit as opposed to 24 or 32 bit.

Superb
Initially I was so frustrated ! Nothing at all to do with the UCA222 ! Just my stupidity ! I got all hung up with drivers etc. and the real problem was me !I was/am using Sony Sound Forge. I had used with ripping CD's and loved. So I wanted to copy my cassette tapes to digital. The tapes were all metal and high quality - made on a Sony KA3 ES.OK - short cut - learn how to use Sound Forge !!!If you are not ripping a CD you need go to the RECORD but... Show More

Easy To Use Digital Audio Interface
The UCA222-USB was purchased for use in saving analog audio recordings in the MP3 format. Very easy to set up, basically plug-n-play. Used with Audacity software the digital audio interface worked with no issues or problems. Good way to digitize old analog recordings from tape or other line level devices. This will be very useful in saving my vinyl record collection onto a digital device.

It works like it should
I like the item, it does what it says it will do, it takes analog signals and turns them digital. I use it to record karaoke and it is pretty good, I get some hiss on my system, but I am sure it is my setup of cheap wires use of a older laptop.

Does the job at a fraction of the cost
As a professional musician & DJ I use this as an audio interface for my computer when recording music and for Live DJ and Live Performances. The sound to the human ear is as good as Audio interfaces in the price range two hundred dollars. Has a seperate output for a headphones. some me 8 times the cost don't. Easy to transport. Compact and affordable I carry a second as a backup. I have been using it for four years... never a problem.

Affordable solution for new Mac Pro
Our facility found some issues with the latest Mac Pros. Namely, they no longer have an optical audio output. The UCA222 is a very cost effective, easy to use solution. Simply plug it into the USB port of the Mac and you have instant SPDIF optical outputs from the Mac internal audio. Great solution if you want to pipe audio from your Mac to an Avid HD I/O and skip all the headaches of aggregate I/O.

Works great on a Chromebook
I use this interface with my Chromebook. The greatest feature is that no drivers are necessary for this to work. Just double check the settings in the audio program/plug-in/Chrome extension that you are using, and you're off! It truly is plug-and-play. And for $, you can't really beat that. I do wish there was a stereo 1/4 input in addition to the RCA jacks. But with a few adapters, this setup works just fine.

Great for Transferring Casettes
I bought this product to transfer some old casette tapes to digital format for use on a company website. When I took it out of the box, I simply connect the tape deck to it using an RCA cable, fired up Audacity on my computer, and it transferred without any problem. I also used the headphone jack on the UCA222 to make sure the audio was coming through fine, and that helped as well. For my rather simple need, this was a much easier and much cheaper option than buying a casette deck with a built-in USB.

Excellent interface for what I need!
I simply needed 2-channel RCA audio output from an iMac to a home stereo. I already had line-level cable with wall jacks set up from initial installation, many years ago. I did not want to utilize the shared ground of RCA 3.5mm mini jack on the iMac.. All I had seen from searching was more DJ-level boxes at much higher prices ... until I corresponded with a responsive and helpful B&H rep. He directed me to this unit , which is exactly what I needed, at a great price. Thanks!

Inexpensive Investment
I have an in-home studio. I purchased this product for a desktop that has a standard internal soundcard. I needed a soundcard to hookup my Mackie board & found this interface. After configuring it via my DAW, it works great. Sound quality is superb. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Great Purchase
I'm very happy with the product, I called and got help from the company. They were very helpful and I've already purchased a couple of more items as well. I'm looking forward to the future I know nothing but great things will come forward from now on.

Useful device
I purchased this to digitize the music I have on cassette tapes. Having downloaded the latest version of Audacity, I tried this unit using the output from a walkman. Am quite satisfied with the quality and it serves the purpose for which I purchased this device. Note that you will have to download some device drivers from the Behringer webpage for the USB output to be used properly. It was not a simple plug and play as advertised. You also have t... good product
easy to use, remove digital noise form pc's internal clock, RCA output for tons of connectivity

A great idea and the price is right
the only problem is I cannot understand how to use it. The sound out of the cassette recorder is too strong and there is no dial on the recorder to lower it. Consequently the distortion cannot be eliminated. Needs instruction book for electronic dummies' like me

Plug in and it works
Use the interface instead of onboard sound on a Lenova laptop with windows 7. Plugged it in and it worked, no problem. Records with monitoring slightly delayed. Good value.

Works for retina MBP and PS3 sound
I got the 202 (previous model, only color and some software bundle differ) and this works great getting sound from my PS3 (multi out phono) into a retina Mac Book Pro - exactly what I needed. This way I can run a small program called LineIn to pass thru the sound from the PS3 to my gaming headset, also running Skype.

As advertised
I use it to interface an iMac with a sound system through the usb port. The amplifier approximately doubles the volume output to a set of Sony 2.1 speakers and reduces line noise as compared to the headphone output from the iMac. We plan to also use the low latency feature for recording live instruments. Very nice product.

Product is noisy
The product is noisy, putting much more noise into the audio stream compared to more expensive products I have used. It does what it says for an amazingly low price, but I would not recommend it for professional use.
