Audio-Technica Pro 45 - Cardioid Condenser Hanging Mic
UPC's:
Great Audience Mics
For the price this is a great mic. We use them for audience mics in our church auditorium. We have them hanging about 20' above the audience. They feed our TV mix as well as the in-ears for our musicians on stage so they can have a little ambient noise in their mix. Clean, low hiss.

Choir Mic
A great addition to our church and choir. The pick up is awesome and they sound great! You can spend quite a bit more but for the price and sound there is really no need. Great product!

Great mic at great price
I have this mic hanging from the ceiling, capturing audio for videos I make in a studio. It's a cheap and easy way to get the sound I need. I like the low profile, low weight, and low price. I damaged my first one while moving, and I knew I'd replace it with the same one.

Very Satisfied with Performance
Installed two of these to pick up and reinforce sound in a church sanctuary. They work great in the space. The two mics cover the entire downstage area and we no longer need lapel mics or mics on stands. Coverage is even from stage right to stage left...works for us. I did have to purchase new Audio-Techica cable to get them to work well. I attempted to use them with existing cable and got feedback all over the place. I even bought a Peavey Feedb... Show More

Perfect for choir/ensemble
I purchased 3 of these for a cantata production. I hung them from the ceiling over the back row of tenors and basses. For the first time we could actually hear them! I was trying for a balanced choir sound and these helped a lot. In our room we couldn't get a lot of gain before feedback, but more gain probably would have unbalanced the sound. Everyone was impressed, and it helped us get a much better recording too. I purchased the white color and the mic and cords disappeared against the white ceiling. The choir appreciated the absence of mic stands and mics in their faces. Wonderful!

Paul Marcarelli would be proud...
I was tired of using speaker phones, or a mic on a webcam, for conference calls, and in a 1200 Sq Ft room I also got tired of the people at the other end not being able to hear very well. So I purchased an Audio-Technica AT-MX341A SmartMixer and three AUPRO45W hanging mics, and got a great sound! They are hung about 8 feet apart in a triangle pattern, about 6 inches from the ceiling, and they feed into a VOIP softphone. They really have a fantastic sensitivity (I had to set the gain on the mics at about 2) and calls to lan lines and cell phones have yielded no complaints. Can you hear ME now?

Upright Piano Application
This is enough of an industry standard that not much has to be said about quality! Thought some would like to know that I used a pair of these with the hangers to mic an upright piano quite successfully. Opened the top lid and duct taped the hangers into position with each mic about 25% away from the end of the keyboard and pointing down and angled slightly in toward mid keymoard. Worked great, so stapled them in place as they will be used for live performance continuously. Don't forget these are condensers so you need phantom power in your mixer!

good value
working on getting a studio set up focusing on ease of use. These are cheap, but still deliver well on the sound. I'm using two in a classroom setting, one directed towards the professor, and the other towards the classroom for streaming classroom.

Good Microphone Great Value
We use three of these to place above the stage to record audio for our HD video shoot. Our client is much happier this run with the quality of the audio. The last run we hung shotgun mics in the ceiling, not a good idea.

Great mike-low price
Purchased several of these for the stage at my last school and they were great-my predecessor had been using hand-held mikes hung over the stage at my current school, and I knew these would be better-clear, sharp reproduction; good pickup area.

Webcast classroom solution
These microphones helped to solve a problem in designing sound pickup in a web enabled classroom. The quality for value made these an obvious choice for ceiling installation to isolate groups of 2-3 learners in webcast classroom.
