Bought this lens for my Sony NEX walk around camera since using a lens adapter with a prime lens was too bulky for a light travel around package. Better results than those that I have received with an adapter and a Canon, Minolta, or Nikon prime lens. This lens is not a recessed element SLR lens repurposed for Sony e-mount but a true mirorrless design that works superbly with focus peaking! What a great buy.... what a surprise!
