Excellent Overall Picture Quality
The Sony X800G has has beautiful colors and overall picture quality. There is minor backlight bleed from it being an edgelit panel, but it isn't enough to be distracting. My screen came with 2 dead pixels clustered next to each other, but unless you're sitting 3 feet or closer to the screen, they are impossible to spot. Sony Warranty and Customer Service is terrible.
I received this TV (XBR43X800G) new in a sealed factory box for Christmas. As the picture reflects there is some type of defect on the left side. Sony accused me of damaging the TV when I placed it on the top of my cabinet. They said the TV is fragile and easily damaged if picked up wrong. Picture Quality is Excellent
This is our 5th Sony tv over the past 30 years. The 800 is our second Sony 4K. We have found Sony quality unprecedented. We have tried Samsung and LG. Good TV but leans backwards
This is a very good TV but be aware that it is designed to lean backwards about 3 from upright when installed on the feet provided. The very sparse owner's manual does not address this. Research indicates that the unit is designed this way for people who place the set on a low entertainment center. Our set is at eye level in a large entertainment center so this is very distracting. Sony X800G 49 LED TV
What can I say, you can read the specs so here goes. I unboxed the TV hoping it survived the trip to Texas. It was very well packaged, therefore I proceeded to install the support legs. Mine you, the TV has a slight tilt toward the back but who cares because I plan on mounting the TV to the wall. Plugging in the power source and allowing it to initialize and only using Wi-Fi, i was running Netflix. No lag in the signal and picture was perfect from factory settings. Mounted on the wall, I am running two HDMI's and what can I say, It is a keeper.

We recommend this TV.
We are most pleased with the great pictures and resolution on this TV. Pictures really pop, making TV watching more pleasurable. This 43 model is a perfect size for an average to small size room. The stand is 26 wide when full assembled and fits on the TV table we had been using. The only nit so far is that WiFi connection is off and on. This is likely attributed to our WiFi signal, not to the TV. The reason for the 4 rating is that we have not experienced the TV for more than a week so far.

Android TV
Bought this TV to test drive the Android TV platform before purchasing a much larger Android TV. Picture is good as expected, love the built-in Google Assistant voice command capability. I have not tried Chromcast functionality yet. There is some latency in the navigation and finding the settings icon is not intuitive enough. HDMI arc support is wonderful for connecting to my soundbar.

You cant go wrong with a Sony TV
Bought this TV to replace my last sony TV which lasted 10 years! After comparing it a few times between samsung and its other counterparts the image quality of the Sony was always better. This TV has superior image quality and I'm sure it will last just as long if not longer than my previous Sony TV

Always been a Sony customer!
This tv is just one more great product by Sony. I have been a loyal customer of their products for decades. CD players, turntables, CLIE, headphones, speakers etc.... I have them all. Picture is outstanding, interface is intuitive, product lasts for a long time!

Warranty Voided
Just an update to my previous review. A Sony Customer Rep called me at home today (Jan. 31 2020) and informed me that my warranty was void because of physical damage to the TV. Physical Damage??? There is no damage I can see, but there is a defect in the TV.

Great New TV
This is a great tv and really fills the room. I have not worried bout a sound bar; it does fine. One criticism is that there are no instructions for the use of the remote and setting up broadcast channels. The Netflix works well.

I bought this on sale and I am glad I did. I have had some really bad experiences with Samsung but Sony has always had superior products and the best customer service.

Best TV
The quality of the picture far surpasses the quality of my old Samsung. I have always been a Sony fan, and am so glad that I have a Sony TV again. I love my new TV!

Great Picture!!!

Nice TV for the price.
Picture quality is great. Sound is much improved over an older Sony I had that this replaced. Still like the sound from my sound bar better though.
