Used these mics in clubs and bars, they have the same sound as more expensive mics. Great value for superior microphone with a small price tag.

I love this kit. I can't believe how much quality for the price. No doubt an audio guru could find something they don't like about how these sound, there is just no way a $300 mic kit can match the quality of a $3,000 mic kit. But all I hear is an incredibly clean signal, excellent punch on the low end, crisp high end, and details of the sound that will make you a better drum tuner (because these pick up all the nuances in your sound) . The only downside, but not enough to even warrant taking off a star, are that the mic clips are probably not gonna be good for the long haul. They are a little flimsy in how they connect, and the unused portion of the mounting area (above where I set the mic) is very tall with a lot of wasted space. I would love this even more if the clips were redesigned to not be so tall over the drum. But again, this is just a niggling thing and not really an issue. The jury is still out. But that is because I am a total novice/beginner. The mics all work, the kit was a return, but the original owner did not even open the box. Without any editing, the drums sound good as recorded.
