A friend recommended B & H to me because I am making screencast videos and wanted a microphone that would give me the sound of my natural voice. I'd tried a couple of other options and the sound was terrible. Now I have the Samson Q2U and am very pleased with it. It's easy to use and does exactly what I wanted.

Amazing
For the price, this is a really great podcasting pack. The audio sounds great and it is super simple to use. Do not bother buying a $100+ microphone, when this one gets the job done and well. Be sure to look out for sales too! I get this baby for only $40.

This is the perfect mic for recording a Skype interview. Here's how: Connect the mic's usb output to your computer. In the settings, select the Q2U as your incoming and outgoing sound card. Do the same in Skype. Connect the mic's headphone jack to a dedicated recorder like the Zoom H4, H5 or H6, in channel 1, using an 1/8 to 1/4 cord (or either one with an adaptor on one end). Great for Podcasting
This is a great product, I haven't had any problems with it. Also a great product for when you are just starting out with podcasting, etc. You don't need to buy an expensive mic, when this one will give you A+ usage.

Absolutely beautiful
Only problem I have run into is that if you use it through usb and restart or fresh power on your computer with it plugged in, then you have to unplug it and replug it or it will input an obnoxious static noise. But sound quality is better then a lot more 100-150 mics Ive used

Microphone sounds great
The Q2U sounds great as long as I can keep my mouth the same distance away every time. Going to take practice. Considering getting a Blue Yeti which should allow me to put it a foot away and still get the same quality without having to be right on top of the microphone.

Very good quality mic, slightly flaky USB interface.
Pros: - Great audio quality for a reasonable price - Feels pretty well built - Both XLR and USB built in Cons: - In my setup, USB has to be (physically) disconnected and then reconnected after a reboot to function This could probably be resolved with a $3 USB Power switch of some sort, but its really annoying to deal with. Hey look, it works!
I bought a Samson QU2 because I needed to record some I.D's for a local repeater. I didn't want to drag out mics, cable, mixer, headphones, etc. I saw the USB mic as a simple alternative. I just plugged the mic into an open USB port, (plug & play found it) and that was it. I had to change my input device on Sound Forge and adjust a few volumes - sensitivities, but that was it. No more flop sweat when trying to record small clips of audio. Easy-peasy!

SAMSON Q2U microphone
The microphone seems to work with all software I have tried with Windows 10, except Brainshark software. It appears to recognize the microphone, but when listening to the recording, it is blank. I have tried many different settings, but nothing seems to result in a saved recording. Solid Quality
Bought two of these products to begin doing some podcasts. The microphones have decent, significant weight to them and seem to be of high quality, particularly for this price range. Sound quality has been brilliant through the USB. Have not yet used the XLR cables. Headphones have been working well, too.

Pleased with product
Use this mic to do voice overs for children's stories. Recently purchased, so have only used it few times. But so far I am pleased with it. USB so very easy setup.

a great set for your recording needs

Samson Q2U is simple and it works
I needed a USB solution to recording audio tracks, especially when I'm traveling and have to turn a script quickly. The mic is a combination USB/A3F device. With its cardioid pattern, it rejects a fair amount of room noise. Works with just about every recording program I use. Headsets plug into the mic and provide adequate monitoring levels. I put this in my carry one and I'm never far away from being able to record.

More the price the headset is worth it alone! I used the professionally for doing video interviews at a wedding. The Mic did a great job and the headset fit great and the sound quality was great. My only complaint was with the XLR connector on the microphone. I had a hard time plugging it into my video camera and unplugging it afterwards.

Great for podcasting
Considering the price, this mic does the job. I'm recarding audio podcasts so with the USB, I record directly on my computer and with the XLR, I can plug it in my Zoom audio recorder.

Good Quality Mike, Fun with a PC
At the price I paid toy-level was expected but this mike is the real deal. Nice, heavy, and nice little stand for desk top. It makes great voice recordings with the Cakewalk app included or even Audacity. Those headphones are nothing special but were pretty nice and keep background noise away from my ears.

This product has been the best microphone I have gotten with a low budget. The headphones are great and the stand is practical but useful. Overall It's really a product I would recommend for everyone that is a beginner.

I use this package (mic and headphone) to record vocals using Logic Express when I am on the road and at times at home with my kids to get them into singing (recording). The microphone is of a great quality and the sound quality via the headphone is also very clear. However, one of the downsides to the package is that the headphone is very uncomfortable.
