Low cost for occasional usage

This ear-set mic works, but would not last long in a processional environment. The cable is thin and appears prone the breakage where in enters the ear set and connector. On the plus side, the mini XLR (aka, TA-4) connector is NOT the molded-on type, so it could be dissembled and re-soldered should it break at the that end. The cable is permanently molded-on where it enters the earset, so it could not be fixed should it break at that end. I put a... Show More piece of shrink tubing over the joint to beef it up some. They sound 'OK', but not nearly as good as a pro headset or ear set mic as one would expect for $15 usd. I bought five as spares for our ($350) Countryman E6 mics. The Polsen -1 is better than nothing for sure and ok in a pinch or for noncritical work.Show Less
