Loose contacts... unusable.
As stated by another reviewer, the female contacts are loose which results in frequent hum and noise. We bought six of these for use with distribution amps driving studio headphones and external speakers and all of these adapters had this problem.

3.5mm End Causes Feedback
The 'female' end of this adapter doesn't provide a secure connection. Any sort of movement causes feedback through my speakers/headphones. Work great otherwise.

Quality I Finally Found
You have no idea how long and how much money I have spent trying to find a solid and heavy 1/4" TRS Headphone adapter like the ones that come with the Sony MDR series headphones but without the threaded input. THIS IS the one. It's heavy and made of solid material unlike most everything being sold online. The fit is firm and tight. No play whatsoever. The quality is in a class above the rest. This easily replaces the stock ones that come with the Sony MDR series headphones. I highly recommend this for people that demand quality. You won't be disappointed.
