Good value soundbar
Thought I would buy a basic soundbar, but this one was not much more than the basic one and had a subwoofer. Easy to setup and a big improvement in sound over the tv speakers.

Great sound at a very reasonable price
Unbelievable difference to sound from t.v. So good. Can't believe what we had been listening to before. Remote control hit or a miss. Very annoying.

Good and bad
We bought a Samsung soundbar and this Hitachi is nowhere near as good. Visual display is confusing so you tend to work on the sound changes rather than display information, in comparison, the Samsung displays in text the setting you have chosen, the Hitachi is a flashing led! The Hitachi remote is poor, a few presses of the chosen button eventually registers on the bar, sometimes not. The soundbar was discounted because we had bought a Hitachi TV otherwise it would probably have gone back.

quality
brought this for my daughter for her birthday was in sale so bonus, it has a very high quality sound, doesnt sound distorted when volume is up.

Good value for the cost.
I had a few teething problems to start with. I.e. sound bar kept switching of after about 10 mins. Once that was overcome, it's been fine.

Great value
Good bit of kit for the money! Works great through the hdmi cable ARC connection to my Panosonic TV meaning volume can be controlled by tv/bt box remote and powers up automatically when tv is turned on! Simple sleek design with no obvious branding, so looks like it matches the tv!

Excellent Sound Bar
Purchased this Hitachi sound bar to upgrade the sound on my Samsung tv. I use the HDMI port to connect to my tv so only one cable is used for the whole set up. Dramatic improvement over the sound of the tv with the added bonus that I can play music from my phone through it using Bluetooth. Great product at a great priice. Buy it, it's a no brainer.

My new sound bar.
Bought this new sound bar to compliment my new tv, looks and sounds 100% better than my old one, easy to set up just plug and play, excellent buy very happy with it.

Great Improvement
Definitely improved the sound quality over the standard TV speakers. The addition of a sub-woofer gives much better low level bass sound, which is brilliant on music and movie playback, and improves video game sounds.(Even my cat was unsure where the extra bass was coming from). If you're thinking of buying a soundbar, I'd certainly recommend one with a sub-woofer too.

Sounds great
We recently bought a new television and the sky sound quality was disappointing so we decided to buy a sound bar. This has worked really well and has made a vast difference to the level and quality of the sound. We’d definitely recommend this product

The first one I got was faulty so I exchanged it for a new one seems to be working okay now just the hassle of repacking the faulty one to take back to the store

A brilliant Sound Bar and Sub Woofer
To be honest once I unpacked it I wasn't expecting much from it however once I set it up I got a pleasant surprise the sound is brilliant a great Bass from the Sub and very clear sound from the soundbar and the remote is great too, it looks great too.

Nice... But!!!
Overall, this sound system is ok, nice, good sound quality and easy to set up.. worths the price and looks decent as you don’t get to see cables/ wires (the subwoofer is wireless)... BUT! Unfortunately, I’m about to return/exchange mine for the 2nd time and have to try another product that’s not Hitachi... (Reason) - the Bluetooth seems to work very well few just 3-5 days after purchase and afterward start producing sounds as if to say the connected device is out of range..

Fantastic sound bar
What a brilliant sound bar, took a bit to set up the ARC connection, but once you've done it, it's simple to configure for almost any brand of HDTV/UHD. Highly recommended for the extremely low price and the sound is fantastic especially with the Bluetooth function.

Excellent price for great quality

Just great sound
Never had a sound bar before but after buying a new t.v and it sounding tinnie I thought I would give it a go ....so easy to set up and a great sound , why did I never have one before .

It's good sound but hard to use
The two things I don't like in this sound bar the first thing it's remote control is small and weird and how to use it's means hard to find the bar at the right bottom and the second thing there is no screen or something to show to you in the sound bar what's going on it's means you don't know which it's cable or HDMI or it's Bluetooth so just show 4 colours in the front and it doesn't help always

Good for the money
Easy set up, the main inconvenience is that the soundbar comes back in default volume and tone settings (sub and tweeters) rather than staying put, so need adjusting every time. The remote is fine and intuitive for this. At least the input select is 'sticky'! Sound is what you might expect for the bargain price. Gave a decent performance on music for the Proms. Stereo pseudo-surround look elsewhere. Miles better than my Samsung's built in speakers, but not an audiophile or AV dream.
