Great sound , 100% better than tv speaker
After buying I purchased sound bar brackets from Argos and fitted the sound bar on top of tv , looks great as my tv is on its stand and not fitted to wall.

Sounds better than it ought to for the price!
Mere minutes after unpacking it, it was making a sound that completely belies its price. There's more than enough volume for watching tv & films. The remote is good & most controls are replicated on the bar itself. The subwoofer was a doddle to pair with the bar & really beefs up the bass. Not that it's needed for most tv viewing - the bar is more than adequate Hdmi arc, if your telly supports it means you can link the bar to your tv & use your telly remote to control the volume. Lovely

Easy to setup ,easy to use although the optical cable that I bought along with it didn't allow sound bar to sit flush so had to raise it up on blocks

Fantastic sound
Love this soundbar and sub woofer. It was very easy to set up and the sound we previously had from the tv has gone from tinny and annoying with constant bass vibrations and distortions to pretty much perfect. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend. Can be operated with or without the remote which I would say is about the only thing I would change, due to it's small size.

Hitachi 240W 2.1Ch Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoof
Setting up was a bit of a problem for my dad because he`s not really hi-tech minded so I called my brother who is far more savvi. He sorted it in minutes and it`s great now. The sound is amazing even at half volume so I`m really happy with it. Once set up it`s very straight forward and easy to use, just what I want.

Brilliant bit of kit
Bought as a present for the father in law as he likes his films , the remotes a little fiddly for a big bloke and the cables are packaged so well you cant get them out . But as a product it is brilliant , it is a shame it doesnt have a direct hdmi link but does have arc control , this is ok but not all tvs have that function . Nice and loud , great quality . Overall brilliant buy

Perfect present
Best value found on the Internet. Has transformed our experience of Sky Cinema, so easy to set up with a hdmi cable, 5 minutes from start to finish including auto coupling with the wireless sub woofer, what's not to love? Perfect fit under our JVC 55" tv.

Sound bar keeps wife away!
Liked the product and at a good price. Liked it even more when my wife said it was too loud, turned the volume up and asked 'how do you like it now?'. I would definitely recommend this product.

Stylish look, sounds good, easy setup
This sound bar looks great and the setup was very easy. Literally plug and play. It sounds good, much better than TV speakers but not premium - you get what you pay for! The bar will turn itself off after 15 minutes with no sound input which is annoying but standard for any EU sound bar. Overall happy with the purchase!

Best sound bar I have heard for this price
I have a Sony TV and purchased a Sony sound bar tgat was more expensive than this one originally.. i was very disappointed with the Sony both in terms of sound qualuty and design.. I decided to return the Sony bar and opted for this Hitachi bar.. the sound quality is exceptional better than the Sony and the Bose spund bar that I tried.. Set up was easy.. only disappointment is the hand set.

Soundbar quick and easy to install
Sound bar works well - but tends to tun itself off if the source is muted - on some films the difference from music to speech makes volume control tricky

Great sound bar
Didn’t come with cables so had to go out and buy them after getting it unpacked. Sigh That said once connected it sounds awesome! Easy to plug set up, just plug and play. Sub woofer sounds deep and growly which is excellent for movies and all in all super happy with it.

Better sound
Such a great clear sound. Bought for my partner who has hearing problems, this device has made the sound so clear he can hear speech more clearly. Not good with tec stuff the set up was brilliant so easy. Most highly recommend this product.. Great service form Argos ordered on line ready & waiting as promised.

Great price great sound
This was my second choice I was going to buy the Samsung one until I saw the price of this and glad I went for this now the sound is brilliant and with the wireless sub it’s like being in the cinema with rumberling bass and it kicks when you play music via Bluetooth or tv I also bought the hitachi 50inch 4K tv and I now have a brilliant setup for under £500 which is very reasonable

Good for the price
Its good for the price. The soumd is def clear and can be loud as well. I can enjoy details of sound effect in movies now. The only downside is that it switches of sometimes and i dont know why.

Disappointed
Wouldn't work with the 3.5 jack supplied or hdmi lead so after phoning tech help went and purchased another 'arc' hdmi lead and exchanged the soundbar for another the same. It still didn't work so I purchased an optical cable and it worked with that. I wanted it to work with my tv remote and it won't without the arc connection. Shame because it sounds good for a cheap soundbar.

Excellent Value for Money
Soundbar was very easy to set up using the HMDI connection. The sound is very clear and the sub-woofer adds great depth to the overall sound quality. Soundbar automatically turns on when I turn the Samsung tv on and can be controlled using my regular remote. Can also be connected through bluetooth to my phone relatively easily, although occasionally this takes more than one attempt at connecting. Once connected however, delivers great quality sound when listening to music.

Not easy to control.
Difficult product to set up. Does not match volume from TV or Set top box. Too loud on some connections but too quiet on other connections. Sound quality seemed ok. Returned product to Argos for replacement with a Panasonic sound bar.

Great soundbar
We only got this as we brought a tv which sounded awful but with this its made the sound great.we normally buy samsung but the quality is just as good and alot cheaper so win, win.Great price, sound is very good and looks good by our tv. Definitely recommend
