Google Nest Mini (2nd generation) - Charcoal
5 * brilliant gadget
We first purchased an amazon Alexa, but it was useless, it kept disconnecting from Spotify and didn’t know the answer to anything you asked it. We returned it because it was a waste of money & purchased this google assistant instead. Having used both devices I can say that this one is far superior it’s absolutely brilliant, it has no connectivity issues with Spotify & you can ask it questions, anything you might Google you can ask it and it will respond with the answer. Definitely recommend.

You need this in your life!
Bought this for my son's Birthday as he loves everything tech, but we all love it and its staying in our living room. We are a busy family and we are always asking it everything..what time is it (as we are rushing about), what's the weather today (as we are about to leave), set a timer (so I don't burn the tea), set an alarm (to remind me to do something), etc. And we have signed up to Spotify so we constantly have music on in the house now. It's use's are endless! LOVE IT! And easy to set up!

Google Nest Mini, Fast & Sets Within Seconds.
This Google Nest Mini 2nd generation is the best purchase I made. Sets within seconds, connects fast, talks back straight away, connection is great any where in the house, easy to use. It’s also portable as you can carry it around the house, and it’s lightweight. The sound is clear and loud enough, you can even tell google to put the volume to a certain percentage, change language and also you can set it just to your own voice so it will only respond to your voice. I do recommend this.

Unresponsive and not user friendly.
I purchased the Google Nest Mini over the other brand, however I found the Google Nest Mini to be very unresponsive to my voice (even after training). Rarely would the device respond. So I returned the Google Nest Mini and got it exchanged for the other similar looking brand with the LED ring around the top. This brand was £10 cheaper than Google's device, and it recognised ANY user voice that spoke to it WITHOUT training, which was remarkable. I do NOT recommend Google Nest Mini.

my google nest mini's are ok I guess
I do like these products however there are a few issues with them:- 1, Their voice recognition needs improvement; I have programmed multiple routines in them and sometimes they don't recognise what I say 2, the cables are too short; I wanted to mount one on my wall yet I couldn't because the cables couldn't reach as far as was needed 3, not enough colour choice; charcoal, white, blue and red aren't enough colours to choose from, Other than that I'm satisfied

A great bit of kit
Having bought one of these as a Christmas gift for a family member, we were impressed by the functionality and the sound quality. Literature suggested that with 2 devices you can get full stereo by linking them together (via Google Home app) and specifying left / right output channels. Tried this and was really impressed by even better sound quality and great separation of stereo channels. Makes a simple, quality and hands free music and radio system. Recommended.

Bought as a gift
This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She absolutely loves it! She's been playing music and saying up her own routines for when she says things like "Hey Google, Good morning". She loves that it will tell her the weather, give her a bit of news and then play her favourite Spotify playlist with one simple command. I like it because she doesn't *need* her phone in her room when she's supposed to be studying anymore!

Definitely an upgrade
This is definitely a better version than the previous mini. The sound quality is fuller and the lights so you know where to control the device are helpful. You can't expect the best quality audio from such a small device, but as long as your expectations are realistic then it delivers. Slightly too short power cable, and some occasional connectivity and grouping issues drop it a star, but overall a solid product.

Good speaker in small bundle
I love google assistant this is my first 2nd gen Mini, cant say i notice much difference in sound but the built in hole for wall mounting is great. One thing I'd like to see is improved mic's as they struggle to understand you from a bit of distance meaning you want to add more to your hallways etc. Or get frustrated asking it to turn your lights on only to get a reply of i cant do that yet or i don't understand

Love it, so glad I took the plunge
Only reason I bought this was because I had an Argos voucher and didn't know what to spend it on. Decided to have a go with one of these - and now have two!!! Just love it. I've just told it I love it, and the reply was "You have excellent taste"!!! Just makes things so easy. Havent opted for the smart plugs or bulbs yet, but for anyone getting less mobile I think it would be absolutely brilliant.

Smart little thing!
I was curious to see if there was an actual difference in sound quality over the mark one as claimed. I guess there is a small improvement, you can't expect too much in the way of bass but it managed a decent balance. You also have the option to hang it on the wall as well as the ability to pair with a further nest. mini to create a stereo pair. A smart speaker and a smart little stereo system!

This is a great, useful little device
The google mini was easy to set up although connecting it to the other smart devices in my home took a bit more brain power! These devices are impressive in what they can do and are constantly adding more functions. The mini is very small and neat and can be hung on the wall, which is probably the preferred position. Would definitely recommend as an addition to any home.

Fantastic, well worth the money.
Very easy to set up, just plug it in and set up the app on your mobile phone if you'd like to connect to your Spotify account. Can then be also controlled by your phone as well as voice activated. Really happy with the sound quality with it being compact. You can touch it to turn volume up ± down or say "hey Google volume (up or down)". Would definitely recommend.

Love this purchase
I purchased this for my mum who is totally blind She loves it . Makes a lot of things easier for her day . Like tells her the weather .and so she lkows what to wear and tells her things she has asked google to remember for her .ie order my script .or remember I'm having visitors. It keeps her up to date with music and google has become my mums next best friend

Excellent product
As a Google fan . This is the natural progression following my tablet and phone. I use it for Streaming music . Playing radio stations . Reading the news and audio books . I have set it for morning and bedtime routines . A great product . In total I bought three including one as a gift which was happily received and litterally working within minutes of receipt

Google nest mini chalk perfect
Great product by Google. My Google Nest Mini is beautifully designed and so easy to use. Packaged deliciously. Answers most of my questions. Gets more useful with Use. Learns. It’s hard to stop using it. There are so many functions it can control for you. Plug it in. Download app and connect to WiFi and very quickly you are in control. A pleasure to use!!

Works Great
Using it for about a week or so, and it's work fabulously. Having bought two of them, it makes it much easier to call out to the kids in the loft, rather than yelling up 3 floors. It also allows you to quickly ask a few questions about traffic, weather, time, timers, etc.. very quickly and easily. I'm sure we'll use it for more things in the future.

Great little helper
This my second mini for the house and just like his pal in the living room, this chap sits in the kitchen and happily plays my Google Music playlists or the radio, adds things to my shopping list and keeps me posted on my reminders. Sound is much better in these 2nd Gen models and they're set up and ready to go in a couple of minutes.

A doughnut full of fun.
My first nest mini, after buying the home unit previously. Now two rooms in he house are connected, and I have football scores, music, radio, weather, news at my fingertips - and I'm only just starting. What began as a bit of a giggle quickly became my go-to for all of the above, and I would be lost without it. Recommended.

My son loves it!
Got this first my son with gift cards he got for christmas. He loves it, the sound is good quality and can go quite loud for how small it it. He uses my spotify account to play music and uses it as an alarm in the morning. Very good price and have ordered another one for my daughters birthday. Easy to use and set up too.

Good but not as good as amazon echo
The google mini home was easy to set up, easy to use and has a good sound quality. However you do have to use a music app they suggest which you also have to pay for. With the amazon echo you can link your Apple Music and play it through the device with voice commands. You can’t do this with the google mini home.

So easy to set up,great design
It's a very easy product to set up, I connected my Spotify, You tube ect straight to it in mins. The design is super sleek and would look great anywhere in the home, large or small and we were pleasantly suprised at the sound quality, it's got real depth. Worth every penny. Absolutely highly recommended

Best by last year
I only havd it about 2 weeks but i am verry happy with it so far i can set timers for cooking when i am deling with the baby ask the whether play music. I haven't seen all the things it can and can't do yet. The only thing i have found is your phone has to be near it to work but i am happy so far.
