Google Home Mini (1st generation) - Chalk
It's a great little addition to the home and very easy to set up - my husband and I use it daily to ask what the weather's like, get it to play music (either through my Spotify subscription or TuneIn free) and even broadcast messages between this and our other Mini in the bedroom. It's not perfect as sometimes it misunderstands our questions or it can't deal with 'complicated' speech or instructions, however I'd still recommend it as it's had a positive impact on our daily life.

Nice device, good sound for its size
Great little device. It sounds really good for its size. It's recognised my commands so far. I couldn't get to configure my voice specific recording though, always failed, but doesn't seem to affect functionality

Fantastic bit of kit and simple to use

Cool gadget - I use it for spelling, math, smart lights, weather and commute info in the morning. Love the question answering, playing music of my choice, finding the cell phone when we misplace it, and making phone calls.

Nice to have, but a nightmare to set
I loved idea behind it. Thinking it was an easy set up, with plug in and off you go....no! Plug in and it knows nothing. You have to down load an application on your phone for everything. It's used up all my phone memory and I still get proms to add more to get full use. Oh and you can't store them on your SD card to save storage. Nice idea but if I knew it before I bought it....I probably wouldn't have bothered. NICE TOY BUT TOO MUCH HASSLE.

Great Device
The Google Home Mini is a great device for using google assistant in the home, controlling Smart Lights, Chromecast and don’t want the higher tier modal (Google Home). The Speakers Are not bad and there’s a Mute switch on the side when you don’t want google to listen for you (handy when watching someone go “ok google “ all the time) Would Recommend To others.

Amazing device
Such a great gadget for a great price. Have paid for spotify premium too for better services. We have two so can use as an intercom system to the upstairs. Works well, understands commands, even has quizzes. Doesnt hold 2 recogniseable voices unfortunately so when i save my voice it doesnt recognise my sons strong welsh accent, only if i save his but then deletes mine!

Great for getting the answers to questions fast, the weather forecast, listening to the radio or Spotify and much more. Control your home with compatible Smart products and set timers and alarms. The audio quality is excellent for such a small unit.

Very happy with the product
Never appealed to me to have one but now i have one as a prsent couldnt be without it music is great on it radio stations are good only problem i have is the kids ask google more questions than me

Engrance to interactive assistant.
It was on offer and I decided to buy the item, it needed basic use of apps to fully operate the system, and the only drawback seems to be the failure of the system to always identify commands because of my northern accent. Nevertheless i find the system helpful and informative,

Nice start to a smart home
A nice start to a smart home set up. Use if mainly for playing music and controlling lights and heating. Also used as an alarm clock, to check the news, and opening times for shops. Pretty smart and subtle looking.
