Faint Sound - No Limit (not full refund given when asked)

There is no limit on these headphones despite their claims. I have a very loud minijack on my docking station and as I turn up the volume, there is no point at which the sound levels off. In fact, I can produce sounds so loud it hurts my ear. I wrote to Direct Sound who told me actually the limit is 90 dB and not 85 as advertised. Not only does this mean there is no limit, but it also means that using these on a mobile phone means you will not be able to play very loudly, as medium volume on your phone produces sounds that are hardly possible to make out. So I decided to just use my Sound Pressure Level meter together with regular headphones and measure how loud they are with my phone and then remember the sound setting that produces a volume that is safe to listen to. I shipped the headphones back from the UK to the US. I was refunded the cost of the headphones but not the customs, as they had promised by email. You're better off with a SPL than these headphones in my opinion, meaning you are also free to use any other headphone manufacturer.
