Dell UP2716D 27 16:9 IPS Monitor
Disappointed
I expected an awesome image but that's not the case with the monitor I received. The one I got was clearly repackaged with loose cords and unwrapped components. I've checked the resolution and it claims to be 3840 x 2160; however the Dell 27 inch that I had previously had a much sharper image with richer colors. I suppose I should return it and try again, just wanted to share my experience. I also found that this unit does not have built in speakers and is not set up to accept the Dell speaker bar so if you want sound you'll need separate speakers.

Good monitor
My only issue with this monitor is the set up factor. I am pretty tech savvy but struggled getting this set up as a second monitor to my new 2016 MacBook Pro. I was able to use the cord that was supplied (the display to mini display) but could not find the order to turn on machines to get my computer to recognize the monitor. Way beyond frustrating but it finally worked. I tried to many different ways, that I am not sure what I really did to make it work. Other than that. I love it. I do need to calibrate it as the screen is very bright.

Good price but limited options
The color reproduction of every color's space is nice but unfortunately the custom options are limited, for example in the custom presets where you can play with some settings for the colors, it doesn't let you change the color temperature for a wide and deep personal calibration... The same limitations goes for the preset modes where (in my personal opinion) the color temperature is warmest of what i like and despite te colors are good I'd rather prefer work with colders screen... Nice for the price

The monitor for photograhers
This wide gamut monitor is THE monitor to buy for photographers. On the price/performance scale, I believe this is the best on the market. People who wear progressively ground lenses in their eyeglasses (me) will like the 25 inch size. Others may opt for the slightly larger 27 inch model. I'm driving this with Windows 10 and and NVIDIA GE Force 960-based video card. I have thus far not installed any of the Dell software that came with the monitor and have thus far not missed it.

Finally! Found a Keeper!
I have tried numerous monitors that range in size from 27-34 inches and I have finally found one that I can keep. The color accuracy out of the box is great for my image editing and there is plenty of screen real estate for Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4d. The thin bezel is also a plus. I love not having a thick border around my monitor. Thanks to B&H I was able to buy this monitor at the lowest price that I could find and get it fast with free shipping.

Great Monitor
Bought this 32 screen as a larger companion for dual set-up with Dell P2715Q. Great buy. I recommend it when you have a companion screen with multiple DP ports (this has one DP port, and Dell P2715Q has 3 and can be daisy chained). Watch out if you use a high resolution KVM Switch as the video card needs to be compatible (nd it will likely need to be connected via DP ports). This is for home use (I have no TV) and I'm not a design/graphics art person.

Best display you can buy
This thing is huge, bright, accurate color rendering, USB 3.0 hub, and 4K resolution that's actually good quality. So much space to work on just about anything, but my profession is creative, so video and digital it specifically excels at for me. The adjustment to 4K can take a little getting used to, but once you do, there is no going back. Using mine with a canister 2013 Mac Pro and it was plug and play, with hardly any calibration needed.

Great while it lasted
Purchased this monitor strictly for post processing and editing photos. Easy set up and everything was well calibrated right out of the box. Unfortunately the second time I powered up the monitor a thin green line developed from top to bottom on the right side of the screen. I have contacted B&H Customer Service and as normal they are handling a replacement. I hope this was just one bad monitor and not a known issue that impacts all.

as expected
I've been eyeing on this monitor, and finally purchased one when it was on BF sale. Brilliant color, maybe a little too saturated. I haven't done the calibration yet. Was worried about the slow response time, but haven't noticed any lagging when watching a movie. I'll be using this monitor mainly for Photoshop, so it doesn't really matter anyway. The only thing that I don't like is the its menu layout and the power button.

I love it
Everything about this monitor is fantastic. The contrast and color is great, the angle of viewing is splendid. The cost is great. I love the height adjustment a lot. The two USB.3 connections on the side are the real deal, Almost as fast as my hard-drive upload speed. I have yet to calibrate my Epson v850 scanner and the screen together. I use the monitor for scanned film editing, as well as CAD drafting and Photoshop.

The best Dell Monitor I ever used!
This is by far the best Dell Monitor I ever used. I had 2 Ultrasharp U2711 and they served me very well int the past. UP2516D is improving not only by image quality but also ergonomics and aesthetics as well. Just put your overglorified Apple Cinema Displays into the trash and grab these ones! In that price point it is the most cost effective and performance solution you can get from a professional monitor!

Spectacular Colors and Font Sharpness ! - Come See
Great monitor for working on web design and general MS Office work. The colors are vibrant and clear; fonts are sharp and monitor construction is solid and fully adjustable. Dell's touch of having a minimal 3 sided bezel allowing for the screen to run to the edge of the monitor is fantastic. Before you buy any other 27in monitor this one deserves your time as you probably will chose this one. :-)

PremierColor?
I like photography and bought it because it is "PremierColor". I received it yesterday, and its color (probably a combination of saturation, contrast, etc.) didn't look very pleasant. Instead of the true color I expected, it was whitish and blurred. After calibrating with Spyder, it was much better. But for such a "PremierColor" monitor, I expected good calibration from the factory.

Great!
The thing is big, expansive and covers lots of real estate on a desk so plan ahead. The images are clear and spot on with color. It needed very little tweaking with my Spider during calibration. So far after a week I have yet to find any dead pixels. I would strongly suggest you get some help to uncrate and set the thing up. Not so much as it heavy as just a tad unwieldy.

Beautiful picture; cosmetic defect
Nothing to add to other comments. I don't see any IPS glow or uniformity issues visually. However, my unit does have a cosmetic defect where the left size bezel/trim is coming loose. Not sure how it was attached - glue or other adhesive - but a 2 inch section came loose about 3/4 of the way up. I noticed it 3 days after the B&H 30 warranty and they would not help me.

So far, so good
I got this monitor as the cheapest option to do reliable Adobe RGB (I do video post - production / color grading). I've only been using it a week, so, grain of salt, but so far it is great. Really nice to work on, nice matte finish, adjustable, and I really like the simple touch on/off spot on the front, as opposed to a button. Loving it for the price.

Looked good for 2 months only
I bought this to replace a Dell 27 monitor that start having problems. The first impression was good, but after a couple of months, the screen starts having problems. The right half side went off with very bad colors, turning almost dua tone with green and magenta. It's defective and I'm returning it and buying a differentbrand to replace it.

Get what you pay for (in this case)
Briteness very acceptable, in fact I may choose to lower the briteness a bit because it is quite bright at factory settings. Clarity is awesome. Color correctness seems spot on. Unsure about response time (good or bad?)--I'm not a gamer, and I don't watch movies on this thing, so I haven't noticed any bluring of image or such.

Upgraded for Photo Editing
Upgraded from a 7-8 year old Sony CRT monitor; primary use will be general home applications plus photo editing; planned to purchase a more expensive monitor for photo editing, but B&H salesman convinced me of the merits of this monitor; first experience with a flat screen home monitor; resolution and color are outstanding.

I haven't owned that many monitors, but very happy.
Going to be using this as a GUI display for color correction. Nice that I can have a decently calibrated GUI monitor, and would probably work well for anyone doing low budget color work. Things I don't like: Not ACTUALLY 10 bit, only 8 with a dither. Uniformity isn't perfect, corners have some bleed and white point shift.

Amazing Display, Disappointing Stand
The display is nothing short of amazing; however, the stand fairly disappointing for a display at this price point. It's limited to tilt and swivel. To increase the height, youhave to use some hard cover books or the like. I'm not sure it's a deal breaker, but it's what kept me from giving it five stars.

Great Monitor
I have had several other monitors but none of them compare to SuperSharp Dells. I have never had a Dell die on me before technology had long passed them up. I have had other monitors that were shot lived particularly ViewSonics. Color and contrast on this monitor are great.

disappointed
My first monitor had good color and uniformity but had a terrible backlight bleed in the botton of the screen, I exchanged it and the second one had backlight bleed too in the same spot.. but with less intensity , the backlight can be observed with daylight or room light

Works well on Mac
This monitor looks great. Connected quickly to my 2013 Macpro via the supplied display port cable. Monitor looked good out of the box but after a quick calibration with with an i1 display Pro it was perfect. I am using this for video editing and color correction.
