Not the Best
Picture quality from digital TV isn't great although better from the HDMI input. Sound is very tinny and the lack of a proper program guide is a ridiculous omission. Had a cheaper 16" TV before this which had better sound and picture but wanted a slightly bigger screen and there's very little choice for these screen sizes. Wouldn't recommend.

Good value for money
Our small tv in the kitchen finally gave up, we chose this product for the size and price, plus we had had Alba before, the tv is great value for money, although sound quality not great on high volume but ideal for our needs. I must also say excellent service from Argos, item ordered online just after 10am and delivered by 4.30pm. Well done Argos

The Alba TV set
I am very pleased with this set. It is very compact and is not too "in your face" in the kitchen. The accompanying set up manuals are extremely easy to understand, even an older person,like myself, is able to follow the installation instructions. The written instructions, along with the diagrams, are extremely easy to follow. Well done Alba!

Great but sound isn't always that good.
I bought this recently simply because I wanted a basic tv to go in the bedroom and for that it's great and I've had no problems with it. It's HD ready with basic freeview, one USB socket & one HDMI socket and for what I wanted I can't ask for more than that but that being said the picture is good but the sound isn't always the best quality.

Good Value
Bought this because I wanted a 19" screen (or thereabouts) and you don't seem to be able to buy higher-quality models with less than 24" screens. Picture quality and sound quality (tinny) are poor, but given the price, I think it's good value. I've addressed the sound problem by attaching a speaker from an old PC system - big improvement.

An excellent choice of TV!
This is the second Identical TV we have bought from Argos. They are ideal for a kitchen or small room in the home. Picture and sound quality are good. However, any buyer needs to be aware that the viewing angle is limited to allow full enjoyment of the colour picture. This is stated in the product details so did not take us by surprise.

TV forspare bedroom
Replacement for ancient (with digibox) TV for spare bedroom. This TV is only used for 10 days - 2 weeks per year, therefore I needed something of decent quality but at a good price. I collected the Alba from the store (took no more than 5 mins), took it home, hooked it up and tuned it in (took no more than 5 mins). Job done; perfick!!!

Alba 19 Inch Television
Television had to be taken back for exchange as when you was watching a program it would start scanning through all the other channels after a couple of minutes sometimes it would be ok for 10 minutes and then start scanning again, took it back and got a 22 inch Hitachi with DVD much better product 30 pound extra but well worth it.

TV is perfect for our bedroom
The TV fits perfectly into our bedroom. Great picture with a portable aerial and the sound is perfect, even by an open window a main road. The only thing I would have liked that it hasn’t got is a scroll menu of now and next TV programmes. All in all a great TV which is excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

great value
Great little TV. Bought for my 5year olds room, ideal size for him. Can't comment on TV channels as it is used for Xbox and watching DVDs, but very pleased with product overall. Easy to set up, nice crisp picture, good sound and nice and compact. Great product at a great price. Would recommend to anyone wanting to buy it.

This to has impressive wife screen aspects and the sound quality is suitable for the size and cost of this tv. It's auto setup feature is easy to program and it's channel changer menu is just as easy when you've learnt which menu brings it up on the tv. All in all a great spare room TV for the alba brand and for its price tag

Easy to set up and use TV
We needed a small TV for our kitchen and the 19" Alba has fitted the bill perfectly. It is very easy to install and set up and the picture quality is very good. The only downside is that to view the screen from the best angle, you need to be seated immediately in front of the screen, otherwise the colours appear distorted.

Faded colour at some angles
Easy to set up and works fine - but had to adjust colour, brightness etc a lot - and when screen looked at from above (it's in my bedroom so am often standing up watching it eg. whilst getting dressed) the colours fade completely. Okay in context as am doing more listening vs watching in that room but would be odd otherwise.

excellent tv
Had excellent service while i was at the shop, I purchased the tv online had a text sent to my phone straight away, with the code that was needed to take into argos and when i went in to argos it was pretty straight foward no waiting could not have been any happier. The installation progress was pretty straight forward to!.

Used as a gaming TV
This was purchased as a gaming TV , I have marked it down on connectivity as it only has one HDMI socket, it does come with RCA inputs for older style consoles and also has a YPBPR input too, picture quality is very good and was easy to set up, it also has accessible buttons on the side incase you lose the included remote.

Awesome little tellybox!
This is perfect for my bedroom, has Freeview built in and is easy to set up. The only issue I have with it is that the on screen text for the program guide/when you change the channel is incredibly small, something to bear in mind if this is for an elderly person or your vision isn't great. Other than that it's fantastic.

Great service - for less than £90, brilliant
No problems. We wanted a small TV for a bedroom. Connection was no problem, tuning was easy. Picture quality is perfectly acceptable. It is obviously not a very HD set, but that is not what we wanted. The service from Argos was perfect. Ordered one afternoon, delivered the next morning. Could not be beaten. Thanks

Well worth the money
We bought this for our caravan and expected it to be bog standard for what it cost. We couldn't be happier, the picture sound and size are perfect. My husband then found we could use it to play music through using a memory stick, what a bonus. we would certainly recommend this product to anyone wanting an extra tv.

Budget small TV that delivers
Having struggled for months with iPlayer and an iPad for television in our kitchen, we invested in this super little budget TV that has taken away all the frustration at a stroke. OK it's budget end, and the sound isn't top notch, but it suits us for breakfast TV and catching the News at Ten. An excellent investment.

Excellent all round!
I don't normally leave reviews but was so pleased with this purchase that I thought I should. A very neat, slim TV. Looks great in our kitchen diner. Sound and picture quality both very good. I researched extensively before buying and this Alba was the best on the market by far for its size and price. £79 - bargain!

Great Little TV
Bought one as a small TV in the craft room. Easy to set up an great picture with a wide viewing angle. In common with TV's of this size the sound is a bit 'tinny' which is nit important in its current use and no worse the one it replaced. If sound is important to you adding a sound bar would probably be the way to go.

Loads of bells & whistles
The ability to record to USB is great. You will need to practice the setup as had a few false starts. You will need software to convert to MP4 if you want to view elsewhere. With all the facilities you need to keep the manual handy. All in All very impressed for a budget unit. May get another to replace kitchen TV.

My kitchen Alba 19" TV
First of all the size of the TV was critical as it had to fit on a shelf in my kitchen,the fit was perfect. The picture and sound quality are much better than a previous model (not Alba) that I bought. It was easy to set up. The price was good, I could have paid a lot more but for a kitchen TV it is just perfect.

Good inexpensive little TV set
The set we chose was the only one the right size for the space available. The tuning software is very good, and the picture quality is as good as one would expect for the low priced set, but the sound quality is poor. Nevertheless it is good value for money and it is as good as we need for a stand-by appliance.
