Quality lav for the money
The AT PRO 88W is an inexpensive wireless mic solution that despite the low cost performs well. Many of the less expensive wireless mics use 9V batteries and have very short battery lives. This unit lasts as long as I have seen batteries last with the Rode wireless mic solution. In noisy environments it doesn't work as well as the Rode or Sony or Sennheiser's but other than that it works great especially considering the price tag.

get what you pay for
needed these for a quick shoot.. lots of feedback, not sure what was running interference. I was using it through a Zoom recorder. Feedback would come and go, so i was able to get most of my audio clean. Probably wouldn't buy this again.

Serviceable
The price and sound quality are useable, but you get what you pay for. You will encounter interference, especially if you are in city areas. I picked up police radio feeds.

Awesome for In-House Studio
This is a great product for the price. Quality audio and extremely easy to use. The learning curve is almost zero as well.

Affordable lav with decent quality
Under the right conditions its a great bang for your buck. Had to line directly into the camera because it does not come compatible with the H4N Zoom recorder I was using. Quality of sound was impressive for an outdoor windy day shoot. Unidirectional audio can pickup some unwanted background, should the mic be facing the source.

No interference, good range, audio issue
First, it should be noted that I am in no way a professional, or even an accomplished amateur but I did read the directions and followed them to a T. The wireless microphone works, right out of the box. The sound quality*, range, and lack of interference are all positives. But please note the * --- sometimes the audio records only on the right channel, sometimes only on the left. This is not a fault of the camera or recorder, it seems to be a pro... Show More

Good audio quality for the price
For the price point, you can't really go wrong with the Audio-Technica PRO 88W-829. Not as good as wired mics at similar price point, but for when you need wireless this will do the trick.

NICE FOR THE PRICE
I'm a freelancer journalist and I use this for recording interviews. Some times you may get some interference, but it's nothing turning off all electronic devices or going somewhere else wont fix. The only con I see is that it uses too many small parts and if you lose one of those, replacements are not easy to find, unless you call the manufacturer.

Awesome product. Especially for the price I paid. Works awesome and there is no static while using if your under 100 ft

Not bad for the price, but be careful!
This was used for a few test shoots we did. We are new to dslr video work so we figured we would use these due to the lower cost. Yes you get what you pay for I know but we are texting some options. Overall it did well! It was being used with the nikon D600

Great wireless mic for the price
Great mic for the price! Worked very well for the two weddings I just covered. Yes you get better quality with the expensive mic systems but for someone who on occasion needs to wirelessly grab some audio it works great! The range is a bit of an issue for outdoor use but really wasn't an issue.

VHF Wireless System
When I say the price of the wireless system I thought they are just trying to get rid of them, BUT I was very happy with the way the system picked up the audio.

So far, so good!
For the price this wireless mic seems to be a great buy. For the short distances that is has been used in, the signal is strong and sounds good. I've spent a lot more money for other wireless mics and this one stands up to all of them.

Lots of static
If you don't have to move the receiver around at all, then the sound is fine, but if that is the case you probably don't need a wireless lav. There were several times when it was slightly moved, and only 5 feet from the subject with the mic, and the audio had so much static it was unusable. This is VHF and from what I know, UHF is the way to go for wireless lavs. It also doesn't feel very sturdy

Wireless mic
We bought this mic for the production videos and found the clarity acceptable but the size was too bulky for the small video camera. I also found the fact that it requires 9 volt batteries instead of the standard AA or AAA batteries.

88W VHF Wireless System did the trick!
I purchased this wireless lavalier system for video recording ballroom dance lessons. Because of the music playing in the ballroom it was hard to impossible to hear what the instructor was saying on the video. This system has made it easy to put a lavalier mic on the instructor, and have the video camera some distance away. Since the music is essentially ambient noise it is dramatically reduced in volume on the recording and the instructor comes ... Show More

Stay away - battery mount defective
These run on 9 volt batteries that snap into a receptacle connected to the case by 2 thin wire leads. We have use the mics regularly and have to change batteries often. Three sets are now dead because of broken lead wires. Time to move on a product that doesn't regularly break.

Works as expected - very well
I used it at a memorial service attached to the podium mike stand. excellent voice fidelity.

Light weight, but not cheap
I am using 2 of these in an audio bag mixed with an me-66 mic on a boom pole. The wireless packs pick up audio fantastically and tuned lower than the boom pick up a lot of vocals with no interference. I run them on separate frequencies so there is no cross over. Understand that these are omni mics so they do pick up background noise but overall I have had a lot of quality shoots using these. They are extremely lightweight, the heaviest portion be... Simple to set up, takes standard 9 volt batteries, and make my videos so much better with clear audio. Huge impact. My set up simply works.

Great Price for a Very Useful Mic
At AT Pro 88W is very easy to use. It has two channels to select from and both TX and RX use 9 volt batteries for great battery life. They have a decent belt clip which can be clipped to the hand strap of a camera very easily and a good sound.

Good value. Works well for web videos.
I use this wireless mic to shoot videos with my iPhone 4S and iPad (3rd generation). I'm very pleased with this wireless system considering the price and how drastically it improves the quality of audio for our videos. I did a test of the range, and there wasn't a noticeable difference in quality from within about 60ft. There is a very slight hiss/fuzz sound, but it is not at all distracting, and it picks up the user's voice loud and clear. Beyon... Show More

Great Deal!!
I gave it 5 stars because of its price point! There are better out there but nothing in this price range. For the money you can't expect any more than this. Range is good, it's quite, and clear. Simple set up, easy to mount. Great deal if your looking for a simple wireless lapel mic. Sounded great on my video, buying another!

Just OK
Gain is WAY low. We bought this setup to use with a Zoom H4n field recorder. With the input volume at max on the H4n, these are barely audible. Hit one bar screaming into the mic. We've tried it with pre-amps and such and they have clear sound, but no volume. The $14 special lav I bought off the internet cranks compared to these. More noise, but I find I use that chintzy pack more than the AT. Sad. The equipment is built well, but without a gain ... Show More
