Good monitor once calibrated
The monitor is descent but requires color calibration. I use the X-rite hardware and I profiler software to get the colors set more accurately. The form factor is a bit bulky with thick bezels, so not the prettiest monitor in that regard. For photo and sRGB video editing, even if you are a professional, you can get by with this monitor. for the price, perhaps this is as good as its going to get. I have two of them and they get the job done.

Pretty good
Monitor came packaged very well. Out of the box the color was ok, but after color calibrating it, the colors are more accurate. Resolution is ok for the size, I wouldnt go larger than this for 1080p though. Has plenty of connections from legacy vga up to display port, plus some extra USB ports too. The bezel, the thickness, the chunkiness of the stand are all give aways of when this monitor was designed. The stand does have lots of adjustability though, height, tilt, swivel, and rotate. Above average monitor for most, entry level monitor for the enthusiast/professional.

Monitor's great; customer service is non-existent
I've had this monitor a little over a month and I love it; no problems of any kind. But I have to say, ASUS customer service seems to be non-existent. I've contacted them with a question about the monitor and the person I was communicating with (email) either didn't know English or was just stupid. I gave up and got my info somewhere else. Excellent Value for the Money
I recently purchased this ASUS PB238Q monitor. This is the second time I have bought it. The first one lasted for about 4 1/2 years. When the first one malfunctioned, one side took on a pink tint and the right side lost resolution and took on a green tint. (I did not buy the first one from B&H.) Awesome full featured 23 Monitor, B&H best price/delivery
Using two of these monitors in a stock market home office trading set up. Execellent fully articulated base with ample connections for DVI, Display Port, HDMI, and VGA. 1080P video with beautiful screen. I'm not using the speakers so I won't be able to comment on sound quality.The base is fully assembled and is very smooth in its movement and adjustments. I also have the previous version the PA238Q so I have a fairly basis to make a comparison. The PA238Q was also the reason I decided to buy the PB238Q. great monitor for the price
very nice IPS monitor, colors are beautiful no matter what angle you view it at. Has pretty much any type of connection you want to use and even comes with cords for I think all of them. The only downside would be the integrated speakers aren't the best quality but then what would you expect? overall I would definitely recommend to a friend.

For a budget design monitor you really can't go wrong with the PB238Q. This is the 4th LED style monitor of the style/price that I've used for design work in the past 5 years, and my current favorite. Nice monitor, but be careful with rebate
This is a very nice monitor for the price. Be very careful when submitting a rebate. I've never had a company reject a rebate when submitting a B&H order details or confirmation e-mail. (Most companies just need to ensure that you actually purchased the product from a company authorized to offer the rebate.) To qualify for the rebate's requirement of a Copy of Receipt/Invoice or Packing List, Asus requires an order history print of the order containing the words Invoice Date, or the packing list. Asus does not consider the order details or confirmation e-mail to be a receipt or invoice.

Great monitor for the price
We had to replace a first generation flat panel apple display, and this one works just fine with our mac. We are artists and don't want to have to think too much about techno stuff, calibration, etc. We're using it plug and play and it seems just fine, sharp and good color.

Love it
Graphics are crisp and clear. Stand is bullet proof. No dead pixels and I see no noticeable back light bleed even in near dark environments. I use this for concept design: painting in Photoshop and Graphic Design. Planing to buy a 2nd one.

Amazing monitor at a reasonable price!
I bought this monitor at sale ($ back from ASUS) and it's simply amazing. I love that it's matte, which is way better than glossy during daylight. Swivel, tilt, rotate, everything works smooth. Colors are almost identical to my MacBook Pro Retina. It's supposed to have 100% gamut, although I haven't tested it yet. A very small con is that it doesn't come with HDMI cable, but this is common with most monitors, and you can buy a good one for as little as $ nowadays.

Betrter than expected
Used with my desk top. Set up fine, looks great, surprised that I like a screen this size. Use half the screen for viewing, and the other half for working at the same time. Nothing bad to say about the product.

Very good monitor. Great for browsing and photo editing. Wide port selection. Easy tilting and shifting. The non-reflective coating helps a lot. The The only complaint is that it's too bright for prolonged typing/reading and decreasing brightness really hurts the picture quality. Otherwise it's the best bang for the buck. Great product, I couldn't be happier
I am a photographer and make large prints of much of my work. I have been very disapointed with other monitors due to their very narrow viewing angle. Thank you Asus for the PB23Q monitor. My issue with narrow viewing angle is now gone! I love this monitor!

I am very pleased with this monitor
I've had this monitor hooked up to my Macbook Pro for about a week and it has performed well. The picture is sharp and bright. The sRGB setting is just what I need for photo editing. The setup was easy, but it comes with VGA set as the default connection. That can be changed, but you have to connect the monitor to your computer before you can access the setup controls. I reseached monitors for hours. I looked at the stats, blogs, and pro reviews. In the end, at this price point, this monitor stood above all the rest.
