Very happy with this camera !!
I recently purchased two of this camera, so far so good, could be better in my opinion, Eg. it could has the option to create folders by numbers and clip by names, like Nikon cameras, this way users can use the memories card in more than one session without mix the events, but I'm happy with and YES, I will purchase another one eventually. Thx

Great camera!
This is a great camera to use if you are into videotaping special occasions. I have used this camera at a church event. The audio on the camera works well. I like it a lot.

Good For the Price...
This is NOT a bad camera for the price. Better than a consumer camera, but not a full-on Cinematography camera either. Not great in super low light and the menu is a little bit of a pain to navigate. The small LCD monitor isn't great so I have 5.7 Feelworld external monitors attached on 3-way shoe splitters. Battery life is pretty decent if you opt to purchase larger batteries like 970's. Really good picture quality for the price point. The 1 chi... Show More

Cost of repair
Agree this is a great camera. 2 weeks after the warranty ran out the eyepiece viewfinder stopped working and went dark. Dealing with Sony Repair Service was a nightmare. The cost to repair was almost as much as just replacing it. It was in the middle of a shoot when it went dark. No clue what caused it. Definitely not misuse. The interesting thing was the parts were backordered. I don't think this was the first time they had seen the problem. Been a Sony man for 20+ years but I have bought my last one.

A capable workhorse
I've had this NX-100 for 3 years, and over that time have been on tons of shoots with it. It's never given me a problem, and is more than capable. At this price, it's a strong camera to bring into the field. I've found that the form factor is large enough to allow for all the hard buttons I need to quickly access, while not being so bulky that I hate lugging it around. Super fast and easy to get the picture to look just how you need it to, without much digging in layers of menus. Highly recommended.

Love this thing
I bought my 1st one in January. And just bought a 2nd one. That tells you how much I liked the first one.

Lens hood keeps falling off & doesn't tighten
The first time I got it out oif the carton the lens hood fell right off - so I took it in to get repaired. Then I used it for one night shoot & put it back into it's case where I just took it out from again & there goes the lens hood again. I got it back on but it doesn't tighten & I do not trust it for my run & gun shoot tomorrow!!! This would be the third time I touch it! I wouldn't know too much about picture quality because I only got to sue it once!

Best Camera For The Price Range
Used it to shoot at NAMM 2019. Great image! Great low light pick up, and auto white balance. Very little color correction needed straight out of the camera. Feels solid and well built. Looking forward to using it more. (Image sample attached)

Great camera but...
Great camera but the view finder is so small I find it useless. If it didnt have the monitor, I would return the camera and find something with a better view finder.

The well lit stage concert KING!!.. it just feels cheap..
Ok here is the real deal. This camera will fool you. When I opened the box and played with the menus I started getting upset and I was about to return it.... HOWEVER, when you use this camera to shoot a conference or event that has good lighting the XAVCS codec produces an image that was better than my c300 which had a sharp prime lens on it!!! I was like.... whoa... and when you add the fact that you have a nice zoom option and dual SD cards.. t... Show More

fine print
After deciding to transition from a DSLR to a video I devoted a few weeks into research. One selling feature was the 24 op.... to 48 digital zoom!!! More than comparable to my 500mm with a crop sensor (or even a 1.4x converter) A definite selling feature! as it turns out... not a recordable feature though! kinda bummed... and feeling very mislead~ as if buying a Mustang touted as going 320mph!!! Occasionally a "thick fogbank" destroys focuswhile recording
We'd give the camera five stars (or more) if it were not for the focus problem I'm describing here. We have two of these cameras, and totally love one of them. On the other one, occasionally and unpredictably, the focus will suddenly and without warning go completely crazy, and it looks like a super-thick fogbank has appeared in front of the lens (see the picture). I've seen this problem reported for other Sony video cameras, as well, but it seem... Show More

Good in Low light but has some quirks
This is the best cmos camcorder for low light weddings. However I'm not happy that there haven't been any firmware updates. I've knocked off one star for the following: 1- White balance kelvin info only stays on the display for a few seconds after pushing the button. 2-You cannot output the guide frame to an external monitor. 3- The auto focus is not the best 4- You cannot achieve slow zooms from anything but the handle rocker and even that isn't smooth. This camera is still the best bang for your buck but Sony could support it better.

This camera has been a work horse
I have owned this camera for 20 months. In that time I have recorded more than 25TB of terrific video. It has been the video broadcast camera for two seasons of my Son's high school football team. We are talking rain, wind, hot, cold, snow, day, night and beautiful perfect weather. I have recorded full 8 hour conferences on the extended battery power. I love the controls on the camera. I can shut down the audio in an instant. That is a valuable f... Show More

Couldn't be happier
I upgraded the Sony NX100 from a Sony NX30, and I couldn't be happier. The image quality and zoom capability are perfect for my needs; one of my first complex shoots with it was a ballet performance in an outdated theater (very old lighting system), and I shot from the booth (about 100' from the stage). I still captured crisp, clear balanced close-ups of the solo dancers with very little manual adjustment. I mostly use this camera for business ma... Show More

Great Value Camcorder
Pros: First things first, you're going to want to set the camera to still mode in the picture profile settings. It's just a better shot and really gets the darks right. Without that it can be very grainy at times and sketchy in low light. Combine that with the XAVC format and you really get some great shots for a good value. It's also very easy to use and the on camera buttons and wheels are all really solid when you get used to it. Cons: It doe... Show More
