Super Comfortable
bought these for my Shure SRH 840 to replace the pleather factory pads. The results are amazing!! Much more comfortable, no sweaty ears, ultra soft and the increased thickness open up the soundstage. H

Excellent Closed Headphones
Although closed with the advantage of no leakage these phones sound just like an open headphone. Clear, airy but with the plus of a deep solid bass. Wonderfully comfortable. A true premium product.

Worth the Money
These pads are very soft & comfortable. I prefer the material over the leathery one's most headphones come stock with.

Beautiful to look at and comfortable to wear!
I bought a pair of these to put on my Fostex T50RP mk3. They look great, fit perfectly, and can be worn all day with zero fatigue. They don't take any of the sound away by swapping them with the T50RP mk3 stock pads. Highly recommended!

Comfortable with excellent sound
I am really enjoying these headphones. They are very comfortable! The sound is a little on the warmer side of neutral, with strong but not overpowering bass. Treble is very good and never harsh. As some professional reviewers have noted, the midrange is slightly recessed, most noticeable on vocals. Overall, they have a pleasing, fun sound with plenty of detail, that works for many genres. I compared them primarily to a pair of Oppo PM-3. The PM-3... Show More

Great ear pads for Fostex T50RP-mk3
These ear pads work great. I put them on my Fostex T50RP-mk3 and anything is better that those pancake (word that rhyme's with Frappy) ones that are thin and sandwich your ear to the driver, however these pads would improve nearly every stock ear pad which they are designed to fit. They seem to breath better than the BOSE SoundTrue II stock pads as these have many little holes in them and the material itself seems to breath a little bit. I unders... Show More

For Fostex T20rp...
I found these to be amazing replacements for the T20/40/50rp series. The SRH1840 pads are also very comfortable, but don't offer the same isolation or bass response these pads give you. Both were much better than the HM pads I tried. Enjoy!

Use as replacement pads for the Fostex T50RP MKIII
They're quite comfortable, and a lot more breathable than the stock pads on the t50RP MKIII. Over time, they do less to allow heat to build up inside the ear cups and they also accommodate my ears quite well. (I would say I have medium sized ears, though a bit higher than normal. They fit within these ear pads just fine.) They're comfortable and easy to wear for long periods, so I can recommend these for any headphone that will take them - unless you have larger ears.

Comfortable Incarnate
These pads are likely some of the most comfortable aftermarket replacement pads available. Especially when you consider that these make excellent replacements for the Fostex T50RP mk3 headphones compared to what comes with them.

Recessed mids, horrible headband
The Shure signature house sound is fairly present in these studio oriented closed headphones. The full kit of equipment with spare cables and pads is very nice, but the frequency response is very U shaped and the headband focuses pressure on a very small section of the head's crown...a real no no if the wearer has anything but a thick head of hair.

Excellent Product
The Apogee Grove is an outstanding audio device. It improves musical dynamics, detail and spaciousness.. With good recordings it is balanced and never harsh. With poor recordings it is very revealing. The Groove drives all my headphones including high impedance models such as the Senheisser HD650 and HD580.

Solid, Comfortable, Clear
First of all: these are probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. They are light (yet feel well made) and the ear pads float against your skin. I have worn them for hours with no pain or discomfort, and I find them much more comfortable than the Oppo PM-3 and at least on par with the Sennheiser HD650. In terms of sound: the SRH1540 does have strong bass, but after letting it burn in for several hours I've found it to be tight and... Show More

Stunning
These cans are the best I have ever tried! I guess first to talk about is the sound. They are very detailed with very good seperation. The highs are sweet without being annoyingly bright and the lows are crisp without being boomy. They handled every piece and genre I gave them with easy and clarity. They are very comfortable for even extended periods of time. I was very pleased even my MP3 player was capable of driving them at a decent volume. Some may say the cord is too short but if you using these on the go with a mobile device or with you computer, the length is just right.

Outstanding for home studio
Wow, so much to say. But I'll keep it short: 1. Packaging from B&H was perfect. Arrived without a scratch 2. The hardened case, contoured foam and zip pockets for the cables are well planned out. Great to take on a flight if necessary 3. These are so adjustable, they will fit almost any headsize (probably not small children) 4. The sound: Bass and mids are impeccable. Highs are distinct, but just a touch subdued which I prefer. 5. Price is actually fairly low for what you are getting. HIGHLY recommend. And of course, I'd get them right here from B&H Enjoy!

OMG! My new favorite headphones
After listening the SRH1540 for a week, I have no other choice than selling my Momentums, B&W P7, and the Beats Studio Wireless. I just can not stand their artificial sound...Certainly, $ is not easy to spend on headphones but when you buy something that sounds like $, it's well worth it. The SRH1540 are big, so keep that in mind if you are planning to use them during a flight. Their use makes more sense at home, on a nice comfy sofa. At first, t... Show More

Fantastic Headphones
I purchased there headphones for my studio and was looking for a decent set of reference headphones. However the SRH1540s are better than I expected and not only sounds great but are also very comfortable. The sound isolation is also pretty good where I need to remove the headphones to hear what someone else sitting next to me is saying. Surprisingly you also get a spare cable and ear pads included.

Couldn't be more pleased
Comfort on the cans is top notch, the memory foam and alcantera earpads are excellent for all head shapes and sizes, glasses included. Sound texture is somewhat warm, but thats my preference. Highs are nice, but not too sparkly, the cans are more focused on the mid and bass regions. There is no sense of lacking in the highs but the sound signature is definitely not in favor of the highs. Bass and is very punchy and clear, but sounds subpar on poo... Show More

Wonderful sounding headphones
My pretty sure headphones had a plastic piece that continually kept breaking on it. The sure SRH 1540 headphones resolve this with the metal band going up around your head. The new padding for the years is wonderful compared to what I had in the past and absolutely recommend buying these headphones.
