Pioneer BDR-212UBK Internal Blu-ray Writer with 4K UHD Blu-ray & M-DISC Support

Ordered this to replace my LG

So, my LG WH16NS60 was having issues, such as being completely unable to write to the new Sony BD-RE 100GB media on the market. (Possibly due to LG not having released a firmware update in a very long time....) This drive (the BDR-212UBK) was instantly able to recognize the Sony BD-RE 100GB media out of the box, and it worked flawlessly... much better than I expected for triple layer RE media, actually. So far, this drive has worked perfectly. I... Show Moret also seems to be of a higher build quality than my LG drive. As a side note, the drive tech specs (including box) online say this drive can only write CD-R at 40X speed.... but the drive itself reports to Nero that it can write CD-R at 52X speed. I haven't tested this speed yet, but just noting this for people who may find this to be of interest.Show Less
